Great tool for privacy and security of files
I have been using this with clients for my CPA services and I have no complaints. Delivers all it promises.
Vorteile
Easy to use product. Top notch security and privacy of files. This software provides encryption options for files and great storage space. Also allows to save payment data securely.
Nachteile
No IOS app is a con for users who use the macbook primarily. Although the security is great, it could continuously be improved especially in a online climate where things are always getting leaked and hacked.

Many features
I wanted to be able to "lock" personal files and be able to transport them securely on an external harddrive. I opted to use the Basic Encryption option and upload the "locker" to Dropbox which i hope will prove to be a better choice.

Some of the instructions for using different features are a little confusing.

its easy to use application which protects sensitive data and important files on system or external hard drives.
its a great tool for data backup and data encryption. Since i can lock certain folder on flash drive, I don't worry much if I have to share the flash drive for some other content.
Nachteile
Although it has some nice feature, still overall cost seems expensive. for data backup, subscription is required.

Best App to keep your files in a Locker Box of your computer
It was quite a good experience Folder Lock as the name itself says the files are completely safe and locked like a locker box as no one else can access without password. Customer support is one of the best and quick troubleshooting. Thank you Folder Lock.

2. Even uninstalling the software no body can access the files
3. Uninstalling too not possible without password
4. Good Customer Service, when I lost my password and they helped to get my files back

New user, but happy so far
Love it. It gives me that extra peace of mind regarding sensitive client infomation.
Vorteile
The simplicity. It does what it says it does. I had a security scare and decided to bulk up my security, and part of that was locking down individual folders. I just discovered this software a couple days ago, but it seems to work well so far.
Nachteile
Nothing yet. It seems to do what it says it does. It doesn't have a whole ton of bells and whistles, but if you just need to secure sensitive content, I'd recommend it.

Makes my confidential files and documents be more secure and restricted.

It simply locks and it shows no trace of existence of the folder except the administrator who knows the presence of the folder

Protecting whats important
My overall experience is good. I enjoy using it and would recommend it to my friends who are in the educational field.
Vorteile
Folder Lock is great with helping protect the files that i have to send in to the State every month for the Alternative kids i teach. It helps back-up the files that i have to keep on record encase of a power outage or storms that cause damage. It also helps me encrypt my most important files.
Nachteile
It is hard to find it in stealth mode which can make things hard at times.

Too clunky and too obvious
Poor. No longer use it

It actually kept files safe behind a wall.
Nachteile
Access was clunky, and it was just far too obvious that it was a tool for locking up files. If you wanted to retrieve something while you are working with someone, it is just clear and obvious that you are going to a locked folder to retrieve. It's not exactly very subtle.

The selected folders and program installed are hidden and/or have no access.
Nachteile
That if you have a small network environment, you can see the hidden folders from some of the other computers. I know you cannot access the folders but they show and causes suspicious thoughts.

Simple and Secure
I use Folder Lock to protect sensitive data such as SS Numbers and tax returns. Without this product, I could not keep such things on my computer for quick access.
Vorteile
I love the fact that the folder, when locked, is not even visible.
Nachteile
If I were to forget the password it would be impossible to recover the files...but that's on me, not the software.

Great tool, but laks some important functionality
Overall I am very happy with the product, if you implement the locker to be mounted as NTFS partition it will be perfect.

I would only use it once a month. But, I am always a bit scare it won't work...

Vorteile
Even though the tool is a little on the pricey side, it does the jobs seamlessly. If you are looking for a system to lock and protect files or keys this is an excellent one.
Nachteile
It’s a little expensive for the kind of product. And that you need an additional subscription to backup products. I’d recommend it for personal use.

Best Tool to encrypt your files and folders
A very good encryption tool to keep sensitive and personal files private.
Vorteile
Folder Lock comes with a very simple user interface design and at my first launch of the software, I was asked to set a master password to protect files. Protecting files is as easy as just "drag and drop" and your your files are encrypted.
Nachteile
Whenever a folder is locked it becomes hidden and you don't see the folder again until its unlocked.

I use Folder lock for some highly sensitive folders that I have on my network drive. These files contain personal data and really do not want them available to prying eyes.

Auto Protection and the ability to lock down USBs with portable lockers. Cleaning history as well.

A Great Program to Hide Sensetive Information
Easy to Learn and operate.
Vorteile
I hide all my passwords and financial accounts in a folder. Folder Lock allows me to lock the folder with a single password. I've built up templates in MS Office Word to satisfy my needs. I've been using this product for a few years.
Nachteile
Does not include a password generator. The locked files are not encrypted.

Vorteile
