The most important function in Desktime is for my company to be able to visualize in real time the time spent on each of the projects, without the need for controls or complex systems. In this way, we can correct any flaws in our planning more quickly.

We lost a little flexibility in use of the system when we need to later record the projects that we sometimes forget to register.

We're running a distributed organization and have been using DeskTime since they were a small startup. It works perfectly on desktop/laptop machines (duh!) but we haven't tried using it on mobile devices (since we only use it for tracking office crew hours).

"Time at work" stat is a little bit confusing and is meant for linear days (e.g. if you log in for 15 mins at midnight, just to check your email, it will think that it's the start of a working day, and when you log in back in the morning, the time at work will be 8 hrs, so we learnt to ignore this stat completely.

Desktime has been a game changer for my organization. When we went remote we did not have Desktime in place and found that productivity had started dipping. Now that we are able to monitor productivity, which applications are in and idle time we are able to provide feedback in real time and coach our employees!

At times, Desktime does seem to not update in real time and we do have to sign out then re-sign in.

Very easy to use. Changing the project and redaction of the job done is very simple and don't need to read instruction. Very friendly UiUx. The main job of counting project time (excluding non productive apps) is perfect.

On Macs it work perfect, but on Windows it crush at me sometime, seams it is a conflict sometime with video running on Chrome ... but it happen once a moth...

The best thing about Desktime is its ability to show you EVERYTHING you need as a company and manager. It's great software especially during remote work. Everything was so easy and efficient because we were using Desktime.

You should bill per member. We had 11 member for past months and we are forced to pay for 13! which is not acceptable.

Desktime enables a visual aspect of what our employees are doing during work hours. It sets a parameter for what sites are productive to be online, and what sites are unproductive. This software's employee monitoring and tracking capabilities have allowed our organization to promote and support a hybrid work culture in confidence.

For me, It is crucial that the software that's being used by so many of our coworkers remain user-friendly and easily accessible for everyone. DeskTime absolutely delivers in that regard!

I'd say reports and reporting features could have been handled a bit better. I've found myself somewhat limited a couple of times when I was trying to generate some advanced reports but, that being said, you'll find no issue if you're not looking for something very complicated.

DeskTime is incredibly easy to use, with very little fanfare. It's simple to assign apps on their productivity and non-productive ones. I love especially that DeskTime even shows the time on what project I'm working on, and not just the name of the software.

I haven't used DeskTime for long, but I can't see anywhere I could write a note on the idle time I've had during my work day to jot down meetings, on-location assignments photo-/film-shoots etc.

The software is not very user-friendly, and many users find it difficult to use. One example can be - we have to download the desktop app as well as download the extension to be able to track efficiently.

It's really easy to use. Just installing and it's there active. There are ample settings to set the tracking features as per the business use case.

If the billing fails in any case, instead of sending the notification to the administrator the software becomes annoying to all the users giving a ping every few mins, which is annoying to the limit of completely unsubscribing from the product. Strongly recommend not to do this.

I love the insights into how my time is distributed across applications and websites. I definitely use it passively, but occasionally I check in to see how my time breaks down. I just let it run in the background and check the dashboards for fun. Once upon a time, I pitched it to the leadership at an organization where I worked, but it was early in the product's maturity so that didn't pan out. I'm a longtime fan and I'm pleased with how the feature set has evolved.

I believe the pricing structure is misaligned with customer segments. This is more relevant to corporations than to individuals. It's a nice to have for me, but I can live without it if I must pay. This would fall into the category of something that should be extended to workers for free, but at a cost to organizations with two or more users. Extend more features to single license accounts.

I like how easy it is to use the panel, and the multiple ways you have to install, hidden or not, that you can configure groups and what info you want or don't want to share, I like the reports and being able to see snapshots and blur them for privacy purposes.

May be missing a default template so that you can use for newly created groups or users, because the default template leaves all the info open to the end user

The tracking system ease the monitoring and evaluation of an employee working even remotely. It can be quickly installed, easy to use, perfect time tracking. not much effort is required. And I can have a view on my as well as team performance together at one place.
