This software is a great alternative for anyone that is looking to function with .pdf files. The Adobe suite keeps creaping up in price and this software works very well as a functional alternative!

Nachteile

I haven't found any items that I dislike. So far it has been working great.

I can actually add text to the pdfs that I use most often and save them with the changes without any trouble at all.

The edit part of the software doesn't come up first. I can't change the font of the additional type. If I make a mistake about where to place the copy, it's very challenging to place it properly. I can't use this software to fill in blanks on a pdf--can't place the added type where I want it. Since this feature is the only one I use in the software, I may look for something else that works better.

It's inexpensive, and has a lot of great features. You can simply use it to stamp signatures , you can draw on the pdfs and add text or photographs, you can hightlight etc, convert to OCR .... OR...you can write your own fillable forms.

Nachteile

It's buggy. When editing or writing fillable forms, it tends to freeze up. The next thing on my list, is that it's slow to use to draw over pdfs. Re-selecting the tools manually is a drag. I wish you could set the tool as default unless reselecting

It has A LOT of versatility that I couldn't find in a standard PDF editor. It was well worth the money. I can modify a number of documents that I never had the ability to edit before. Create PDFs from Jpegs, Combine Pdfs, Pdf to html also.

I have occasionally overloaded the program but usually only when editing larger 200+ page documents.

Great alternative to products such as Adobe Acrobat. More flexibility in terms of licensing in that you can buy a perpetual license and month to month licensing is also way more cost effective for a medium size enterprise.
User interface is easy to navigate and I can perform all the functions required to manage PDF documents.

The teams management portal can do with a revamp. It is not that easy to assign and move team members

It's affordably priced and a much better value for the money than Adobe Acrobat. Converting a document to Word format is simple. Excel conversion needs improvement.

I don't like that it always defaults to color printing, Every time it updates to a new version, Windows 10 reverts to making Edge the default app for pdf documents. Converting a document to Excel is far more complicated than it needs to be. It's very difficult to convert to Excel and keep the columnar format. The interface for editing a document seems very unintuitive to me.

Cost is the primary reason for using PDF element, versus other options. It does reasonably well at combining & editing files.

Nachteile

It is still somewhat buggy, and does not always work intuitively. The most annoying bug is that despite setting the default text size & color, it will not automatically use that default. I prefer a red color font for adding text. However, it always wants to use black, forcing me to edit the color afterwards.

I like that it allows you to edit your PDFs, add images and combine files. Makes all my admin so much easier and quicker!

Nachteile

The navigating bar at the top - difficult to distinguish features and could be better organised using maybe colours?

Stability problems dealing with larger pdfs, started getting worse when version 7 launched and the developer decided they needed more revenue. We will probably not be buying the upgrade.

Purchase of PRO version SHOULD give you free version updates in perpetuity. Incentive to buy the better package.

The program is easy to use and does not have a high learning curve. It has great functionality and In my opinion is easier to use than Acrobat. What's even better is that it doesn't have the ridiculous rental fees or price than Acrobat currently has.

There's is nothing I like the least. Since switching from Acrobat to this software, I'm able to save time at job. No crashes, and easy to use.

Nothing. It was clunky, awkward and ultimately so below the quality of Adobe that I removed, but when I did--I realized it had converted every single PDF unreadable by any program but its own. These are PDF's I didn't even open with this program. It's basically a virus.

Nachteile

I used the free trial. I opened and tried to work with ONE document and the program infected every other PDF on my computer, rendering all useless as they would not open in ADOBE or WORD once I had deleted the program. I would not call this an app--I would call it a virus

If you are the sole user of the program then it is really cheap. PDFelement has a lot of great features at much less price than adobe. It is also worth noting that it is extremely easy to use. It can allow you to make fillable PDF forms which I always use with my patients.

It can be a bit expensive (not as much as adobe though) if you want it to run on several computers. Also I have had some problems with PDF conversion mostly when there is a signature on the document.

It is very easy to convert documents and add text to existing PDF files. That is my main use. I've been impressed with the OCR technology and how accurate it has been. I continue to use this product at least weekly, and sometimes daily. I started using it when my organization suddenly went virtual and was completely unprepared for 'paperless.' Having worked in a paperless organization previously, I knew what I needed to make the transition smoother, but couldn't afford the software I had previously used. PDFelement was the perfect solution. I love that they have BOTH how-to videos and how-to articles. I typically like to read how to do something, and have been frustrated with how many programs have switched to video-only Help sections.

Nachteile

I really wish there was an web-based option, even if there were features missing. Especially in today's environment, I switch locations often and do not always have my laptop available when I want to be able to edit a PDF. The fact you have to download the software is my only con. There is a mobile app, though.

The simplicity of use is what I like most about Wondershare PDFelement. I have used this to collate multiple pdf's into one file several times - especially when I want to collate medical bills or company expense claims. It has also allowed me to work better with team members - I can highlight sections that need to be changed and at times make changes myself avoiding too much back and forth.

I have had slight difficulty using OCR. Sometimes the software recognizes a character as an image, but then again it works well for most cases.

I needed a program that would convert document from pdf to Word. Occasionally I use other features like merging or removing pages from a pdf.

Nachteile

Although I've paid and downloaded the software, it requires a sign-in to convert from pdf to Word, otherwise it will watermark the document. I don't need to spend the extra time signing in on a program that I have purchased.

Vorteile

Ability to edit pdf forms easily, prepare for signing. Highlighting areas to be signed, initialed, etc is easy to do. Like the sticky note feature when additional explanation is needed.

Nachteile

Top of page with the various options and icons - it is difficult to read the dark printing under the icons. Not sure if this is due to settings on my computer.

Very easy to use, saves time when making quick edits. I have used it for over two years now and have found it very helpful when making edits.

The application tends to slow down and crash when making a lot of edits. Sometimes, when I'm making edits to text, the font doesn't automatically come in as the same font, and looks off with the formatting.

It's so easy to edit any PDF. Weather it is scanned in and OCR converted or a pre-made PDF converted Word document PDF Element works flawlessly. It makes putting together my customer proposals a snap. Easy to use and quick.

I really haven't found any, however I would like to see future versions of PDF Element contain an E-Sign feature in a very near future version

Really easy interface to be able to edit pdf on the fly. I usually edit my pdfs so that they can be editable through a tablet and this program has everything i need. It does come with a payed version to remove the watermark, but all features come free with the donwload. Its as easy as getting your pdf and exporting itinto PDF Element and beggin editing. You can also view you pdf. Really good alterantive vrs other products that offer the same but on a more expensive price

Not much to complain about the app. It worked perfectly and it makes wht it is isaid to do. Really easy costumization.

The editing features of PDFelement 6 is superb. It tracks changes option makes it easier for the editor to choose which of the effect to accept or disregard.

There is virtually no option of least preferred in the function ability of PDFelement 6 except that the time it takes to load document.

Better user experience than most of the other PDF software I've used. One-click access to the stuff I use the most often, with clear menu options (nomenclature makes sense) and options where I expect to find them. Super-solid at enabling form fill.

Nachteile

A little slow to load and opening some PDFs takes a second or two longer than some other competitors. Not a big deal, but probably worth knowing if you're opening a lot of PDFs every day.

I like most to use the Edit PDF option of this software but in the free version, it is limited to use.

OCR is not working properly on handwritten texts. The rest of the option in this software is limited and in the free version, it comes with Watermark which is very annoying.

It's user-friendly. I can easily switch pages around for documents, convert to PDF, extract pages, add things, convert things with OCR. I love it! I have to manipulate so many documents and need to do it reasonably fast. This product has made my job much easier!

Nachteile

Super small thing- but sometimes when I am switching pages around, it's really hard to tell without refreshing, etc if the pages have rearranged to the order I want. It's the only issue I have with PDF Element.

It is very easy to use. I use it alot to edit a pdf after it was created in a different program. I also have to add pages to the existing file and it is easy to use.

When I open up a pdf that was created I can't always get the right font size and or the character type. I get close but it doesn't match perfectly.

The interface is somewhat easy to navigate, though that's offset by the fact that the functions are subpar.

The range of fonts available is rather small, and the texts look pretty crooked after being edited. The same applies to the word documents converted from PDF - the texts and images go all weird.

This company is a bit of a scam - they offer a 30-day guarantee but never honors it. I submitted a refund request after one day, and they offered me an upgrade. I said I didn't want the upgrade; they insisted I tried it and that they would refund me if I wasn't happy with it. I submitted another refund request, and got the same response, "We can't give up trying to help you... How does the upgrade works for you?" When I reminded the CS person (who's apparently based in Mainland China) that she'd promised a refund last time round, she simply went quiet -- never bothered to reply to me again.

I love the UI for this software. It actually makes sense to a first-time user and as you toggle through the different modes you realize how robust the product is. We've tried several different PDF editors and found this one to work for all of our needs, including producing singable contracts, editing existing PDFs, and building forms that we can actually use. I also love that it's a one-time purchase, and not a monthly subscription like so many other software offerings of this type. Customer service was responsive and helpful in the registration process.

Nachteile

There is little to not like about this software. The biggest draw back rests in a couple little nuanced aspects of editing. Once you learn them, they are easy to work around. Overall, I love the power of the program.

I love the ease of converting to other file types. It converts to excel, word, powerpoint, html and many more. I'm in the insurance business so being able to fill out pdf applications simplifies and makes my applications more professional looking.

The only negative I have is occasionally the OCR isn't the most accurate. But most of the time it works great!

I was wondering what program to use to read my pdf files on my iPad..I googled and found PDFelement as one of the preferred application. I was not sure how good it would be. However, since I downloaded this I have stopped using all the other pdf readers. First it is very convenient to use. You can even sync your Dropbox with it. That’s just an amazing feature. It lets you highlight the texts with different colors. That’s a jot her feature I just love. You can color differently the texts based on your subject and preference. That makes work so easy. The instant sharing feature makes life easy. You can even use your finger if you don’t have an Apple Pencil to write or comment on the things. This is the best app I have come across lately considering all platforms. It has everything you need to do with your pdf files. Keep up the good work wondershare!

With the heightened use of online documents and the need to read, change, update and further use or send- on requires a usable efficient and effective program. PDFelement is a most positive alternative to the big player which seems to try and do everything, however at at a high cost.
