Quartzy's a good software
I like the system overall. It's much better than an excel sheet and multiple people can be in the system at once. I like the history feature and easily adding items from receipt into inventory.
Vorteile
I like that this software is easy to use and links to websites. Lots of communication and some history.
Nachteile
I would like to see that an admin has more control over what can be added in the dropdowns. More access to make fields mandatory. Implement kanban or pars for inventory and barcodes. When you receive an email about an order you can click the link and it will take you directly to that order.

Excellent streamlined tool for ordering
Excellent customer service! Our representatives are very communicative, and we're building an excellent relationship. I'm new to Quartzy, so this has been big to create buy-in for me.
Vorteile
Quartzy creates a streamline process for scientific teams to drop requests and give details about the requests. Instead of a million emails or an extravagant spreadsheet, I have Quartzy! Everything I need in one place. This makes the job of placing, tracking, and organizing orders so easy. I especially like the ability to mark an item as "urgent", which immediately makes the item pop out at you on the screen. That's a little thing that takes minimal effort on the scientists' end but makes a big difference for me.
Nachteile
I wish there was a way to sort by "date needed"

Quartzy quickly brings structure and order to chaotic ordering process
Vorteile
Quartzy made implementing organization around our purchasing process simple and easy for a startup where every second matters. It instantly brought structure and centrality for everyone to use in this time of social distancing and work from home. Forgot individual emails or a shared document, those methods are things of the past. Quartzy is easy to implement, easy to customize, and most importantly FREE!
Nachteile
It would be nice to be able to add a required by date on a request without marking it as "Urgent". If I could add this information without the stress the "urgent" label brings to our lab manager, we could better group and consolidate orders to achieve maximum discounts. The ability to label by date needed and then sort by this field with a secondary sort by vendor would be extremely valuable.

Zero Phone support
Very poor, i am stuck with it for now, but would not implement in my own lab due to lack of quick and easy phone support for simple account access issues. What a joke of a company

Efficient, at least for admins and my boss
Nachteile
Zero Phone support, literally cannot get someone on the phone to help with account access. Have to send an email and wait. Really doesnt seem like they care very much about the end user of the software. Pretty disappointing to say the least

Centralized purchasing - Excellent customer support
Vorteile
The Quartzy team has really focused on providing great customer support. They are very responsive and communicate at a great level about orders and any issues that arise. It's awesome to have most of our purchases in a centralized location and be able to compare prices. We are routinely finding equivalent products for 30+% less than the big wholesalers like fisher and VWR
Nachteile
Not all vendors are part of the network. Searching for new products is good but could be improved to show more details about for comparison

Quartzy makes lab management much easier
I value Quartzy as part of both out inventory management system, but that we have been able to customize the software to allow use to track out sample storage locations. I highly recommend Quartzy.
Vorteile
It is much nicer to order all my products from one source. The discounts on supplies received through Quartzy are otherwise unmatched.
Nachteile
I do not like how long things take to ship and that the shipping information is often incorrect. It would often be a lot quicker for me to just order from the manufacturer, but cheaper through Quartzy.

A great tool for our lab! thank you!
Vorteile
I love how easy it is to maintain our inventory. Once we run out of something, we simply pull up quartzy, and it is already there in our inventory. When I hit 'request', quartzy has the lowest offer come up. great for savings!!
Nachteile
sometimes quartzy orders are slower than orders from VWR. however, only by a couple days.

The most amazing thing about this software is that it is very cost affordable. The lab productivity is really amazing and it is really very affordable.

Vorteile
I appreciated the approval proccess and the automatic linking to our university's marketplace. The presence of PO order and overall tracking of the purchasing and storing proccess helped a lot.
Nachteile
The software logs out at inopportune times, and the location categories are limited.

Convenience with Quartzy
Excellent working experience with Quartzy. No complaints so far.
Vorteile
I like most about Quartzy is very easy to use and navigate. When I used it the first time, I felt a PRO right away. This software is very user friendly and very reliable.

Good price, great customer service
I bought $1800 item-very expensive sterile cells for wetSEM. I searched on the web, including the manufacturer, and the cost was over $2000 in all the sites and Quartzy was the cheapest. The order process was very easy and delivery was trackable by online. Quartzy followed-up by email and very kind customer service rep. Unfortunately, I had to return this item and the customer rep contacted the vendor on behalf of me-I know how painful it is to negotiate the return, especially during this COVID-19 time. I am happy with my experience, and will go to Quartzy as my first place to look for items for my lab.
Vorteile
Easy to use (very intuitive), and easy to organize your past purchase as asset.
Nachteile
Quartzy is expanding its vendors and sourcing, and it is not like industry giant Sigma or VWR. What it does have, the pricing is better than either one of these two industry giant. I was told by the customer rep that if I could not find anything, I could contact them and they can negotiate it for me.

Good lab management software
I think Quartzy is a great website to do lab ordering with, it has made my job much easy and organized

Best Laboratory Management available
Vorteile
Quartzy makes ordering in small or large organizations very efficient and automatically updates your inventory. Allows me to make order from dozens of companies with a single login, without having to manage procurement at each individual vendor. Saves a tremendous amount of time and money.
Nachteile
The search functions are not the best. When looking for new products in the store, search results will pull up many products outside what I'm looking for, and not display the products I want unless I am extremely specific.

Quartzy is not easy to use
For the most part it functions fine but I

I do like that you can compare costs however in medical research sometimes you just want what you order and the constant barrage of ads is frustrating.
Nachteile
We still have to order in another system and it takes forever. I was at a large public university in my previous position and ordering was much quicker and more efficient.

Catalog is large and pretty thorough, ability to track purchases made outside of quartzy is nice
Nachteile
When an item is not available through quartzy adding it to a request is not straightforward. As far as I can tell there is nowhere for us to keep a list of "favorites" so if we reorder the same things often we don't have to dig through all of our purchases or search for them again.

Great Job Quartzy!
It's great because you offer most of the equipment I need and if I need to refer to the product website, the link is right there. You save me time by not having to look things up myself
Vorteile
It's easy to use and normally we get our orders pretty quickly
Nachteile
One item was backordered and I waited for over a month before ordering a similar item. That's the only negative I've had using quartzy.

room for improvement
I work in a lab and it will let me and my colleagues communicate about lab supplies
Vorteile
you are able to input your inventory and use that to replenish the finished laboratory inventory. this is very helpful for when you need to meet a deadline.
Nachteile
it doesn't let you scan a QR code which I know would be easier than manually filling the input forms.

Purchasing Database
Quite convenient and flexible. Especially useful when the originator and approver are in different locations.
Vorteile
Quartzy is an excellent resource for our procurement needs and a database for purchasing and inventory.
Nachteile
We have found this to be quite straightforward. Adding more products to the direct Quartzy purchase would be great.

Has made our lab much more efficient
It has made ordering much easier. Lab knows status of order. Faculty approvals are done faster.
Vorteile
Ordering process streamlined. All orders centralized.
Nachteile
If I don't want to order from the selected vendor, I should be able to select another vendor and still say order placed.
