It is nearly a decade ever since I started using Slack. Availability of iOS mobile application is one of the best aspects since I am able to collaboration remotely with colleagues from anywhere over the internet.

Slack is helpful because connecting is easy and organized. When I see a notification from Slack I know it's business related without checking it. It's easy to attach files and I can record audio or video messages with one tap. Everyone I work with was able to sign up in seconds. Most of us were actually able to sign in with the same account used to download the app. Our profile photos from those accounts automatically synced so it's easy to see who is saying what in the thread/channel.
Canvases are helpful too, they're basically like a white board that everyone can see and edit.

Nachteile

As far as I know, Slack doesn't have two way audio or video. You can record and send either, but it's not live. I wouldn't use it a lot anyway, however if you do then that may be something to consider.
If I need to search for a message, I have to do that from the home screen. There is no search bar within the channels or DMs.

Ease of setup and daily use, can have accounts for each team member and then numerous groups for each channel, the mobile app works perfectly for when you are on the go, you can easily send and review files and it helps provide a history to go back and look at what was discussed.

The cost conversion from USD to CAD means it costs significantly more for Canadians to use. Also, signing in without a password and having to go through email for a login code is a pain for users in a group setting who are not working on their own device.
