It would be great if presentations (recordings) could be separated by speakers instead of sessions. Otherwise, I would have to watch the entire 40-minute session when I am only interested in a 10-minute presentation, which is in the middle of the recording.

As a speaker it was extremely helpful to view the people who signed up for my session and to have my sessions immediately pop up. It was also very nice to be able to respond to questions form attendees prior to the session. I have already recommended the app to my daughter who is a partner in an accounting firm that has meetings every year as a great tool for her attendees.

It makes the conference more organized, especially for those who have satellite symposia. I can add the talks I want to attend to the calendar and set up the reminder. This way I wouldn't miss any talks since I can check the calendar anytime. It also saves a lot of paper as I don't need to print out the agenda.

Whova made it easy to navigate during the live stream event that I attended. What I really liked that I was able to see the agenda for the event the whole time. I could also mark in advance the sessions that I planned to attend. Whova also made it fun to participate in some of the chats and side meetings taking place,

Some of the presenters had some difficulty loading up their presentations and getting started, but that may have just been user error, not Whova.

As a digital tool, it was easy to use, and provided needed links into people that you had neteroedk with for follow up.

I hope that the laptop version's "My agenda" function can be improved.When I click on it, it links to the closest date of the session (e.g., Aug 6 shows "no sessions found), not the sessions that I put in my agenda (Jul 31 Virtual session).In addition, when I click on the session track I saved and tried to check out the various sessions inside, it is hard to get back to the front page of the session track. (vs. Mobile version does not have this problem. I can simply press "back" to move back to the previous page).

Easy to use to navigate a large conference. Liked the ability to favorite a session/topic/item which bookmark items and helped find them again when needed at a later time.

One aspect of Whova that I enjoy the most is being able to easily contact members of the same event and whose interests align with yours. Another thing was being able to create social events and meetups yourself- which generated a significant outcome of interests from others. Lastly, it was simple navigating through multiple events at once, what was scheduled, and my own event and being able to see the attendees regardless of what the event was.

I think the only thing that is missing is more accessible features.

I like the simplicity of the software and the timely response of the features. Also, it opens on my phone and laptop quite easily without the gadgets hanging. I have never had to worry about the size as it does not occupy a lot of space.

The App can be more user-friendly. I initially had issues navigating the App features the first time I downloaded it. Then, I think it should consider incorporating other people different countries and not just South Africa.

I used it for a large virtual conference (1000+ attendees, up to 10+ parallel sessions), and it was down for >1.5 hours. Extremely embarrassing and impossible to recover from it.

Medium impact weakness is that the interface is not very responsive (i.e. slow).

Minor impact (but nonetheless frustrating) weakness is that the admin interface is buggy (or has 'quirks' like they call it themselves).

From lots of things we could notice this is not a company built on solid software engineering (e.g. they use "FirstName LastName" as the 'key' to identify attendees, and some of the admin features behave in a very illogical and unexpected manner).

I used this software a couple of times while attending conferences and I really enjoyed the functionality and integration of scheduling, planning, and live communication amongst other attendees of the conference

The chat vs. Q&A was difficult for session chairs to manage often only considering what came from chat. When starting a presentation late, it only gave you the option to start from the beginning when it would have been great to have the option to join in real time. It would have been great to have the option to go straight to the next presentation automatically instead of having to go back and select.

One of functions from this software can allow me to find all alumni from the conference. That's awesome, especially during pandemic I cannot attend international conferences around the world in person so we still can have a great reunion online. But that function still can be improved, for example, like my advisor who did not graduate from the university where we graduated so he is not at the group. I mean the function should include alumni and all faculty members like a family group.

No, if I need to say, I just got confused why we used this software and also adopted zoom. I mean these two can be combined. So, we don't need to open two windows.
Also, I am totally ok for using English version. But if Whova wants to expand to other countries, it may provide different languages.

I have managed Zoom raw for teaching, with breakout rooms and large audiences. It works OK, but is a lot of work, attendees can get lost and must be combined with learning management software which is a big communication job with Excel csv files as intermediaries. So Whova adds value in ease of use for attendees. With very little extra, it would be useful for teaching.

I do not like the false enthusiasm and leaderboard and all the useless notifications. Not appropriate for professional conferences where we all know each other anyway.

There is no feature which was least liked, as almost all of them are useful and have value. If the sessions can have a section for the photos, it may be better.

It served well the HDCA purpose of guiding the attendees into all the agenda features. I also liked the easiness of finding all the conference materialas such as videos, alerts, links to presentations, Q&A boxes, among others.

If I had to pick one thing I would l say that most of the software features could only be used in the mobile app version and not in the desk version. This was a little unconfortable.
