Vorteile

I like using Whova to manage registrations and activities for conferences. Everything that I need to know is contained within the app so that it streamlines the experience.

Nachteile

There are choices given for interests which you share with other conference participants but they are primarily standard and not customizable and it would be more fun if they could be.

Vorteile

Easy to use with lots of features. Loved all the pictures attendees posted in the photo section. Vendors were able to provide information to the attendees about their services. Leaderboard kept everyone engaged. We added additional videos to share with participants as well.

Nachteile

Can't think of anything at this time. Happy with the tool.

Whova made it easy to contact and hear from people, both those previously known, and others unknown, like when seeking a ride to the airport unexpectedly. Also, it made it easy to organize small group gatherings at meals or other times, as well.

Nachteile

It was hard to find a list of all attendees, and once I found it, the list was not sortable by home states or other topics.

I love the net working and the presentation of other programs and class room activities.

Nachteile

The least was not getting enough answers to complete seeking the proper resources needed to assist fathers being released from incarceration's after being held for 5 or more years.

Immediate and accessible, you could view updates in real time etc.

Nachteile

There was a lot of functionality on the app and this got a little crowded on a phone screen. Also the process of asking questions and breaking the ice was a little opaque and resulted in input going to the wrong place.

The main thing that we needed it for was the mobile app that allowed all users to use their phones during conferences to keep their agenda, maps and reminders.

Nachteile

There was really only one thing that I noticed was there were some people that had issues syncing to changes that we made in the event items.

Nothing, it was great to use. Some updates were not there until day off, but was notified by event coordinators.

I liked having the agenda on my mobile device so i could see updates to times, room locations and make decisions on which break out sessions to attend.

Whova had the capability for the speakers to load their slides but only a few took advantage of this. i would have like to see more participation in this feature.

No issues with Whova. I only use it when I attend the NJ Child Support Conference and I always has had a positive experience with it.

There are a lot of event tools out there, yet Whova stands out for full scale event needs, especially conferences. It made it easy to register, track attendees, and set up sessions.

It's not meant for events of all sizes, so be sure to do your homework to make sure it's a great fit for your needs

I loved getting notices about upcoming sessions and whether or not there was a hot breakfast the morning of the conferences.

Sometimes I miss the old hard copy convention program like when I left my phone in my room and was unable to access the session room.

not super easy to figure out ice breaker and some of the points pieces-----I felt like I could have benefited form an intro or some help

Meetups were hard to find, easy to set up. This resulted in lots of meetings but difficulty in finding and tracking them. Messaging related to meetups overwhelmed my messages so that I stopped reading them.

Whova is easy to use and very intuitive. Everything is laid out in a clear and easy way. From an attendee/user perspective it's easy to see who else is attenging, interact with fellow attendees, and contact the organizers.

There are other event apps that have features I have not yet seen with Whova such as: - Integrations: Youtube, Vimeo, Ical, LinkedIn- Event maps - Conversation Mapping (threads, subthreads, group messaging)

The agenda tracking helped me and my colleagues decide which sessions we would attend so we could split up and get as much information as we could.

Nachteile

This wasnʻt Whovaʻs issue, but the area of the island we were at there was very low cell phone reception and the onsite wi-fi was not made available to the conference attendees until later in the day. Luckily we had planned out the day with the agenda tracker the night before so we knew where we would be going.

The app facilitates communication from conference organizers, as well as connections among attendees. The agenda functionality is well designed and connects effectively to the website.

Nachteile

I was slow to get familiar with the app on my initial use, but within a few days felt very facile with the platform.

Whova allowed our attendees (1,600+) to quickly create their daily schedule, access trainer materials, create and interact with discussion groups, and post pictures.

Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet, but I would like for there to be a way to mark all messages as read when notifications go a bit overboard.

Navigating at first is a little confusing because of all the features. It took me a second to figure out where everything is, so it might be a little too complicated for people with less confidence in technology.

I enjoyed watching the speakers/sessions remotely. Quality of video was clear and easy to understand speaker. I liked the ability to ask questions. I also appreciated being able to communicate with other users.
