Extremely user friendly
Vorteile
From the first time I used Whova for a conference it was clear that it was a very user friendly app. Messaging and making connections is extremely easy. After a year of not using the app, and even having deleted and re-downloaded it, it remembered my login information and still had my old messages saved. I haven't used many of the additional features that the conference had enabled, but did look at them, and it has a lot of great networking capabilities. Definitely recommend both administrators orchestrating events and users to use Whova.
Nachteile
When using Whova on the desktop it does not sync well with updating that messages have been open on the app. It'll look like you have new messages even though you've already opened them. Additionally once you've messaged someone it doesn't indicate that until you go into the messages, or if you click "say hi" instead. I have decided to just use that messaging feature instead.

Yeah, I think Whova is cool

Straightforward, affordable and flexible Event engagement App
Whova's team is attentive, always innovating and updating their capabilities, they listen and address concerns quickly and effectively. Our event loved the app and we love the Whova team.
Vorteile
The Whova app is very straightforward to use, they provide all of the embed links and capabilities to make it look like you're own powered by a simple to use back-end experience. It's flexible in the way you use and deploy it and is affordable.
Nachteile
Some of the search capabilities to highlight top sponsors and provide a tiered level view of support can be worked on and the streaming view is good for traditional videos, engaging with Zoom is not as strong.

A must for the new age of tele-conferences and webinars as the norm
I can attend a conference virtually or in person and have an electronic attendance record and the certificates to reflect the amount of continuing education credits earned to submit to my accreditation board.
Vorteile
Great customer service. When I needed access to the recordings of a training I hadn't been able to attend in person, customer service was very helpful and responsive to my request. I was able to use the app during a conference to collect attendance information and produce documentation for accreditation purposes.
Nachteile
I didn't have any problems while using this app. There are no cons that I can report. It worked as desired for me.

Fantastic Event Program Platform
In our experience this has been the best platform to use for our conference planning and events, in our case our main event has between 200-300 attendees. Highly recommend its use, no matter what the size of your event is.
Vorteile
Whova is simple to use and comes with an incredible amount of detailed customizations and abilities to fit any event needs. Love the ease of communicating with other people taking part of the app. Easy to structure the layout and overall accessibility is great.
Nachteile
Can take a little bit of time to get used to the layout, but this isn't necessarily a negative, simply something that comes with any type of interface like this. However, some might consider it a steeper learning curve.

I like the evaluation feature on the app. It allows you to give specific feedback to each presenter.

Wonderful software for conferences!
I liked it and would recommend others to use it.

Whova was easy to use and register for the virtual conference. I liked that the sections for each session was available, and the opportunity to meet new people.
Nachteile
I didn't like that you had to create an account to attend the conference. I didn't like that you could see the captions available unless you were part of the actual zoom link.

Good affordable tool for running a virtual event
I've overall had a great experience with the Whova platform and have recommended it to colleagues.
Vorteile
The platform is relatively simple to set up and use. I like how easy it is to update information and organize sessions, exhibitors, etc.
Nachteile
I feel like the design of the user interface for the event attendees could be a bit better. It is somewhat basic but it definitely get's the job done.

I would readily recommend this app for any group event for the ease of use and the ability to create better interaction with attendees and organizers.

This app is so easy to navigate and use, anyone can access the features. You carry the full event experience with you from the agenda, your connections and chats, virtual meetings, photo sharing of the day. You don’t miss a beat on what’s happening and keeps you connected and engaged in discussions and make new connections.

The convenience is great, although it takes a bit of trial to understand the versatility.
Nachteile
I understood that the software would track my attendance at each of the sessions I did watch via streaming. I do not know how to retrieve that information. It is needed for reporting to various licensing agencies.

Fun, Interactive App
It has been a great tool to use for events. People seem to be more engaged and interactive than other apps I have used. The points and leaderboard need to be reconsidered as people really take it to the extreme of competitiveness.
Vorteile
Introductions to other people who are attending the event and sharing knowledge of event specific information.
Nachteile
I don’t necessarily like the leader board. Some people take it to the ultimate extreme and make it unpleasant to use the app because they have to win a virtual trophy at all costs. It really takes the fun out of using the app.

Vorteile
I liked the ease of housing all information in one spot, the minimum clicks required to get what I wanted, and the ability to correspond within the software.
Nachteile
Not all participants at the event were using, or actively using. That forced me to revert to email and other means of communication. There were also times that information that would have been helpful was not available. I was using it at an event for recruitment and candidates profiles often were left with minimal or no information.

Whova Made Virtual Events Feel More Personal
Vorteile
I've attended several events using Whova and the ability to connect with speakers and attendees at the events is always a struggle but not with Whova. With the ability to jump in a group chat, start a livestream together, or link to a Zoom room, virtual events are made much more personal with Whova.

Whova has lots of features and that can feel very bloated if you're new to the app.

Vorteile
Whova was easy to use and made it easy to connect with people by recommended groups. it was also helpful to navigate where all the different sessions were in a large multi-level space in a hotel. The job board was also helpful. Community messaging and break the ice chat promoted connection and community building.
Nachteile
The template slides for promote my session were great but most options did not accommodate long titles or long names. Only one option was well-formatted for long titles and names.

I have only used this twice ... last year with CACCF and again for this conference!
At first it was confusing and this year I kind of knew what to do a bit better.

I think there should be a walk through to better understand what we can all do, to get the full experience of the software package.

I had a great experience with Whova, and I suggest it to all conference organizers in the future.

I have used Whova to attend two national conferences, and this app made the conference experience even better. Connecting with others, setting a schedule, and seeing live session updates were easy. I hope all conferences use this app in the future.

Personal review WHOVA
I have used it in two occasions. Once attending a virtual conference and the second during an actual conference. It was great to register for the conference, receive confirmation, register for activities, communicate with all participants, be able to see all hand outs, presentations available and read about speakers.

not being able to read clear all of the messages in the community bubble. I find that I did not always partake in some of the discussions that were irrelevant to me, and I still have to go on and acknowledge them to get them showing as read.

This is THE App for Events and Conferences
This application is genius and its features are outstanding!
Vorteile
Easy to set up and use. Great features like personalized agendas, message sharing, job posting, event and speaker descriptions, and access to presentations that are posted to the community after the event.
Nachteile
I didn't need reminders about job postings through the application. There needs to be an opt out option for these reminders.

A must-have app to host hybrid events.
Vorteile
With the migration from in-office to remote work many people find themselves not being able to attend events due to various reasons. This App provides all the resources you need in order to host an in-person event while allowing people to join from all over the world. The interface and engagement options allow anyone to sign in and begin interacting with others instantly.

It was great to have this platform for a meeting.

I would like to be able to view agenda while attending a talk. This was not possible without exiting the ongoing talk.

CASE 7 Conference in California
Vorteile
Easy to use - gave me a 10-minute notice when my chosen presentation was going to start. I did not use the paper booklet provided by CASE just Whova to schedule my day. I think CASE could just use Whova and save money on printing.

No complaints - I did not find anything I felt was lacking. I did not use it to its fullest potential

An annual conference I attend has used this over the past 2 years. It is a good way to see who is attending, meet attendees and generally drive open communication for all attendees.

I haven't used another app like this and not sure I would look for another one. I've used this twice at conferences and it has worked well.

Fun and engaging way to have a conference
Vorteile
Many great features to make a conference engaging for participants. There is ability for them to sign up for certain meetings/trainings and that goes onto their agenda. They are able to chat with other participants and get to know one another. They are able to re-watch the training. There are polls that can be administered after each session.

Sometimes it runs slower or does not update immediately.

It's been great! I hope that other conferences use Whova or something similar in the future.

I loved the ease of navigating a conference using this software. It was easy to see which panels were coming up when I had very little time. Also it was great being able to find other presenter's names and info.

Would be more useful for a larger event where there are lots of things happening concurrently. This could be a larger conference like dreamforce, a sporting event like the Olympics or the US Open, or even a music festival.

great product!
Vorteile
During our convention, I had no issues with speed, connectivity or sound quality. Whova ran perfectly for two straight days.
Nachteile
My only complaint was that there were way to many notifications. I couldn't keep up with all the groups, chats meetings... whew! should be able to filter that...

Favorite conference app.
I've used Whova for a few conferences. It is a great resource and when the lead capture is activated it works very well. It's frustrating when the conference manager disables the lead capture feature and then charges a significant additional amount to use another software for the same thing that Whova could have done for free.

Nachteile
It does so much it sometimes seems overwhelming. Many great options, but too much for me to have time for it all.

Simplicity at your finger tips
Easy to download, easy to register, easy to access and attend events. Very informative and safe, live streaming is excellent. Love how you can access saved events and videos.

The ability to live stream seamlessly and watch recorded events if I am delayed.
