easy to navigate, I used it for my presentation, I must say i was completely sold. And i managed to easily train my co-workers how to use it.

Nachteile

I am yet to find any cons, maybe a noticeable one would be how it launches itself when I switch on my laptop.

Easy UI, I like the AI summaries it's the text below the thumbnail when pasted.

Editing is good and easy. Especially when they launch the keyword editing tool like Descript

Customer service is good.

Nachteile

That you cannot include a playlist of videos... like hippo and Dubb.

It would be amazing to have the feature video as a brief introduction and then supporting video content underneath.

I have been Loom user for at least 4 years now.... It used to be called opentest.com .... I was one of the first 50 users. I have been requesting this feature since day one

Its free FOREVER for educators. BUT its not an inferior product. Its an amazing product that we would probably pay for if it wasn't free.

Out of all my tools on my Mac, I feel like this updates all the time. Not bad by any means, outside of a very slight inconvenience.

As a freelancer I believe the video recording and screen recording tool is very important, also the collaboration feature. It's very easy to use.

Nachteile

The phone app is very slow when it comes to videos uploading, it sometimes takes hours for the video to be uploaded, they need to fix this.

It is the platform where people communicate with one another for remote work. It is a simple and quick tool that also shares feedback among teammates. Many companies like HubSpot, Netflix, etc. use it for screen recording.

Nachteile

It is expensive. Many tools like Dropbox, Slack, etc. can offer more functions than just video messaging, and that's too within the same cost.

What I like most about this software is it's easy to use and I have the option to show my face in the screen while recording. Most of my students are used to tutorials with just voice overs but this time with me using Loom, I can share my camera in a way that is not distracting anyone from what is happening in my screen.

Nachteile

I hope for the free plan there are ways to extend the recording length without upgrading to business. Maybe incorporate some ads that would provide additional 2 minutes just for a single video for free.

After trying every other option out there, from Bonjoro, Vimeo Record, and Dropbox Capture, desktop software like Snagit and Camtasia, and other similar pieces of software, Loom stands head and shoulders above all of them. It is simple to record, the video is uploaded quickly, the processing is ridiculously fast, the editing is faster than I have seen and it does what it says on the box.

Sometimes the webcam and the sound is a little out of sync.

Loom has afforded my students a means of recording themselves and sending the recording link. It is easy to navigate and a valuable tool to collaborate and keep in touch.

I do not have cons to Loom. It is so simple to use, and has always provided quality recordings. I am pleased with it.

I like the round video screen that shows my face when recording. Also, i love Loom's ease of use using the Chrome extension.

It used to be good, but increasingly rubbish. Lots of bugs, doesn't upload. Fails mid-way. Lots of issues. I use a fast PC, and each time you ask them, they ask for logs and details and all sorts. Its a standard PC, windows 11 pro - fast connections. Their product is getting worse and worse and wasting a lot of time for me re-recording. Now just given up and switched.

It doesnt work 50% of the time, after you've wasted 8 minutes recording a video.

Accessibility, Usability, Interaction, Notifications. This tool is easy to open and it gives you easy access to your recorded videos. I have really enjoyed being notified when someone views it because I use this tool as feedback for my online class and it helps to see how often and whom is viewing each of my recordings. I even have back and forth discussions just below the video page.

Nachteile

I had a few instances when a video failed to upload because it was taking forever. I couldn't be certain if this was due to the internet in our location or Loom, but it happened more than once but no more than 4 times in the last two years I have used it.
There were also a couple of times when my microphone didn't connect for whatever reason and I recorded an entire video without sound. Each time I now doublecheck my audio to make sure it works before recording. Never had a problem with that when I check now.

Very easy to use I can record my screen via the Loom Mac app (chrome extension is also available with limited functionality).
Can easily crop the screen portion want to share.
Makes it very easy to trim parts of the video I want to delete, so I don’t need to re-record every time.
Very easy to share, video link gets generated and the viewer does not necessarily need loom installed to view the video.
Can embed the video on a web page if needed.
The mobile app can be used to record the screen for mobile tutorials.

Screencast video for lecture, grading feedback, and asynchronous dialogue is a game changer. Loom makes it extraordinarily easy and convenient to install, use, and engage with the content I create for my students. My students are more engaged and appreciate the dynamic and comprehensive nature of Loom.

Nachteile

Loom doesn't always operate perfectly on high security networks without an enterprise effort to ensure its usability through the firewall and browser security protocols. In addition, it would be nice to easily insert tags and notes within a video as part of a limited suite of editing tools. Finally, it would be nice to offer higher resolution content but there are obvious trade offs in streaming.

I love the ability to quickly communicate information instead of having to type long winded emails. Loom allows me to show my body so all forms of communication are given (verbal and nonverbal).

Some times the sounds is not in the videos when I record them, so I have to redo it sometimes.

This software allows me to capture my computer screen so that I can provide online lecture notes for my students when they are absent. This has been a great online learning tool for them.

Sometimes the videos are slow to load for my students.

The ability to use the extension to quickly capture my screen and voice to provide feedback to students on their submissions. The URL is copied and ready to be pasted wherever you need it in the LMS, email reply, or whatever!

Nachteile

Sometimes the system logs me out and I cannot get back in through the extension and have to reinstall it. In addition, by default it runs on all pages versus when clicked which breeds trouble when using dev tools or other tools in which you see lnt or loom styling and general infiltration.

The other issue is not being able to delete older videos with ease using a multi-select. I must dump them into a folder and then delete the contents of that folder. Cannot multi-select delete with ease.

I love that it is easy for me to record my lessons and my students to get access to the link. I also love that it is all stored through Loom

I think it is difficult to cut the video.

I really enjoy being able to show my team HOW to do something instead of just writing it out. Not only does it save time for me, but it also helps them visually see what I'm doing in order to repeat it. For a remote team, tools like this are crucial to our development and success.

There isn't much that I don't like about Loom. Occasionally, I will have some audio trouble, but that seems to be the case with any technology.

You can spend 30 minutes crafting an email or go live on this tool for 3 minutes and explain all the points you need to get across to whoever you are communicating.

The freemium tool is great for all my needs. I really wish the premium tools were free as well. I really see this to be the future of communication. I hope the company gets acquired by the big guys like Microsoft and Apple who include this feature with their operating systems.

Loom makes taking screencasts pretty simple. It has nice options and is user friendly. Loom was very helpful to me when we were distance learning.

The best feature is that Loom is a Google extension that can record right from your web browser and then copy link and share. This is great because it is very simple to share it out or give someone access to this recording.
