From novices all the way up to webmasters, GoDaddy has thought of it all when it comes to their online website builder. You can't go wrong with choosing them! Love the ease of use and the drag and drop features as well as the little question mark button that explains what each module does in the website itself.

Incredible customer service, available by phone. With most customer service offerings moving online to bots, GoDaddy still has live individuals answering phones. We migrated to Squarespace for design purposes but GoDaddy's team was incredibly helpful with that migration and not at all resentful about losing the business.

Nachteile

The actual aesthetic design options leave something to be desired when compared to other platforms like Squarespace, Wix and Shopify. For basic business needs, it totally suffices but for a competitive retail business, aesthetics are better on other platforms.

As with any website set up, there was a lot of work to do to make it acceptable to publish online and much of the time spent using the service we were paying for we still had never published the site.

I found this program extremely hard to use. The whole thing with getting the separate domain and almost no help in trying to figure it out. I never did get it figured out because there was some kind of problem. Customer service was hostile when I asked for a refund because my website was not working properly. She was rude and condescending to me, I was just starting out and didn't know as much then, as I know now. Would not advise for a retail store that has a lot going on with it, just was not a good match for us.

There are numerous hosting sites out there and GoDaddy does a great job advertising themselves. Everyone knows who GoDaddy is thanks to their great job at marketing. Their user interface is pretty simple. For anyone who wants to start their own website, I'd suggest GoDaddy, just because it walks you thru all the steps and you can get a website up pretty quickly.

In terms of price, GoDaddy isn't the cheapest web host there is. I was shocked that my lil blog site on Wordpress and domain was going to be a couple hundred to maintain. I ended up switching to someone else and saved a few hundred. It's great for personal, use, but for someone that needs a bigger site, needs an email server, wants to create something from scratch (not use a template), save money and overall have more capabilities and control over the backend of their site may wish to look elsewhere.
