Good for basic Editing & Screen Recording
Vorteile
What I like about this is mainly due to the ability to record your screen and edit it after. The video editing procedure only requires a drag and drop operation.
Nachteile
It is quite a basic video editing tool with limited effects. It would be great to have a vast variety of libraries.

One of the best video editing software
In general Camtasia seems to me a very good program for video editing, it has many more advantages than disadvantages, I have managed to edit professional quality videos for presentations.
Vorteile
What makes Camtasia special is that it is very easy to learn how to use, many other programs are very complex to figure out but Camtasia has very easy to learn instructions and the result is a professional quality video.
Nachteile
Maybe one of the disadvantages of using Camtasia is that it has to improve some options that other editing programs have, such as modulating the speed of the video better.

Excellent for produce videos for sharing information
We used Camtasia for preparing videos tutorial for our staff, explaining how to used some applications we developed internally. The video production, blending screen sharing, video, audio and effects, allowed us to create information content with high quality.
Vorteile
Very easy and intuitive, almost no need to read user guides to start producing tutorials and applications demos in your computer. Camtasia is lightweight and fast.
Nachteile
If your production has many video recordings, and uses effects, the rendering process can be time consuming.

Free Video Editor tool
Vorteile
I have used this tool in personal capacity to edit a video which I had taken while I was doing my MBA. I was looking for a software which was free and can help me with minor changes in the video. I had gone through the reviews and download the free trial of Camtasia and I was able to successfully edit the video as per my needs and requirements. Favorites is what I like most about this. You can mark the items as favorites and can get it under the favorites and scroll back without remembering them.
Nachteile
The editing operations can sometimes be very tedious and take hours if you are not familiar with the options or using the software for the first time. Definitely, it has some learning curve involved.

Camtasia is a nice tool that can be used for screen recording and video editing purposes. It is pretty easy to use and has a good variety of functionalities for users' main purposes.
Vorteile
The biggest advantage of Camtasia over other products for screen recording is that it has a big library of audio, video, and picture materials which can be used during the video-editing process.
Nachteile
The software is pretty expensive. Considering the existing alternatives on the market and their pricings, Camtasia asks a lot for the product they offer. However, for some people that might be okay if they don't want to do a research to find better alternatives.

Great tool, but intimidating
It's a great tool, but challenging to use at first, which could lead people to give up.

This is a great video tool to use and has many features that we have used in editing and recording videos for COVID-19 transitions. It really is a one-stop-shop.

The UI is very intimidating and it took me a while to get to grip with this software and understand all that it was capable of.

The best video editor I’ve ever used
My experience has been very positive. I’ve edited hours of videos in Camtasia and it’s been a very enjoyable experience.
Vorteile
Chopping up video clips and making professional videos is really easy. Plus the screen recorder is fantastic.
Nachteile
Nothing so far, Camtasia is really good. I’ve used Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Sony Vegas Pro, and it’s safe to say Camtasia is my favorite of them all.

My team made professional looking tutorials and training videos for students and staff. Users and administration have been very happy with the productions.
Vorteile
One of the biggest selling points is the number of free resources that exist to teach new users As a new user, the first log in can be overwhelming. Camtasia thankfully offers quite a few free training webinars, both live and pre-recorded. There are so many best practices videos available, you can teach yourself to make professional, quality training and tutorial videos in no time!
Nachteile
Camtasia projects can be challenging to share and 'co-work' on, which in the post-pandemic collaborative workplace is a definite hinderance.

Helpful for Transcription Work
It was good for what I needed to do. Simple enough, but just wish there was a bit more hand holding, but that could be just me.
Vorteile
I needed to get some subtitle files off of a video, so this is where Camtastia was really helpful. It was great for making transcriptions and .srt files.
Nachteile
Ideally, there should be more tutorials or even a better onboarding process. It seems dummy proof, but the more seamless the education, the better.
