It has two essential components to track new business Opportunities and management/logistics for Projects which is what attracted me initially.

Nachteile

It is riddled with bugs in the code and inconsistencies in it’s severely outdated UI. The User Experience overall has been designed by engineers, with little regard for implementation of modern OSX conventions. If I had to distill it down to one major issue: TOO MANY CLICKS to perform simple tasks. All the functionality I’d want is there...somewhere. But it takes MANY MANY screens and clicks to perform simple everyday tasks, and ends up taking me MUCH longer than it should to input data. Also, the companion iOS apps for iPhone and iPad are severely hobbled, and there is NO web interface whatsoever. If you run it on a desktop computer (ie: in an office, desk bound environment) you’re fine. If you have ANY need to be a mobile user, you’re mostly out of luck. As an example, the iOS version will not allow file attachments when composing new email. That’s one of a loooong list of shortcomings I’ve logged since using this since 2014. The truth is, as soon as something more modern and functional comes along I’ll gladly migrate my business over to speed up my workflow. The Report engine is an absolute horror-show. Just try an build a custom report without pulling your hair out and giving up.

• Very Broad and wide reaching functionality
• The ability to customise the software to suit our operation, we have been able to manage almost every aspect of our business, CRM, Safety, Quality, Quoting, Contracts, Maintenance, Correspondence, Email Integration.

Nachteile

There really is not much to mention here....

Vorteile

Fairly organized layout of client file, easy to add important client data. Although the choices for reminders, or tasks are almost overwhelming. Although make an easy email reminder pop up box to follow up an email, in a day, two days, next week, etc! That would help greatly.

Nachteile

I don't like that the templates are hidden in the preference folder, put them in the side bar, I like to use them a lot for my mail merge. Too many steps to get to these files. The Geo information looks interesting, but how do I use this information? Is their a way to pinpoint Clients in an area on a map?

Vorteile

Apart from it being native on a OS X platform, I love the following organised feature that runs my business.
CRM : having my calendar linked with my clients.
Opportunities : having all my quotations to clients organised into one screen.
Projects : having all my projects in one location allows me to see my work flow.

There are tons of feature that Daylite provides and I could hardly go through a day without using it.

Nachteile

The software could be more graphical like basecamp, but I would choose Daylite anytime because of the functions.

I like being able to link emails to the people or companies in our customer base. It makes it easy to keep track of conversations and the sequence of events etc.

Nachteile

I wish there were more report printing options. Setting up a group is a bit confusing and i ended up going with a different set up. The Forms could be more useful if there were more options offered.

Vorteile

It is pretty user friendly. It helps me stay on task and organized for the company.

Nachteile

The only issue I have is if I enter a "new person" and if any of their information is duplicated from a previous client, such as their address, I would like for it to tell me that before or after I save the new clients information.
