Regarding the iCal feeds on Mac, we use them extensively on Macs as do many other customers and we've not experienced nor heard about any issues at all. So, let's talk and see how we can help you resolve any issues you are experiencing!

Perhaps it would help to go over the functionality of the product with you; it's really quite powerful and flexible but perhaps there are features/capabilities you're as of yet unaware of?

Thanks for your feedback! Regarding formatting the org chart, if you click the Options button on the org chart, you can change the formatting to the "condensed" format which is better for organizations where the structure is very flat. Give that a try and let us know if that helps!

I want to make sure you know that you actually CAN sync your Built for Teams calendar to your Outlook calendar (or Google) via an iCal feed. This is a function that needs to be initiated by your account admin, but it is possible and many of our customers use this functionality.

I'd love to hear more about how you think the system should work when taking time off that isn't consecutive days, i.e. you take some days off, work a few days, then take more days off. It seems like those *should* be separate requests but I'd love to hear more about what you think.

Account balances can be viewed in days or hours. When submitting a request, though, the system does calculate how many hours that request will use. This is critical to having a system that is both highly accurate and highly flexible. I think there are a few products on the market that do everything in days, but those systems are extremely inflexible in terms of what they can support. We've opted for the more robust, more accurate approach!

For the weekends, where your hours are shortened, the system will allow you to set up schedules that account for those shorter days so that PTO time is still exact and accurate. If we can help you with setting that up just reply to this and we'll be happy to do so!

Glad to hear we're helping you run your business, Jeremy! I just did some research on FastMail and according to their online documentation, it appears that they don't support the industry-standard iCal protocol. That's unfortunate! It might be worth reaching out to them to suggest that they put that on their product roadmap. This might be the first calendar product I've come across that doesn't support iCal so I would think they'd want to do that!

The 'Current Requests' section shows all pending requests and the status of them, but we don't total up those which are pending but not approved (because it's usually just one or two requests at most, we've found). But that's a great question and something we'll review as a team to see if we can improve how that works! Thanks for the input!

Zil, thanks for your review! Built for Teams actually does support rolling over excess PTO from year to year. Can we help you get that policy setting configured? And if there are any other complex situations you'd like to address let's discuss those. Our product is quite flexible!

Holidays don't require any special effort on your part; you simply submit your time off request and if it spans a holiday, that day doesn't deduct any hours from your account. Great question/comment regarding time off scheduled for the future. If you look at the "detail" view on your PTO account you'll see that we show several different calculations.

Your current balance reflects what is in your account as of right now. You should also see a line that shows what is scheduled for the future, so that you can easily see how much you have now and how much you will have *if* you take off all of the time you have scheduled.

As per your feedback regarding requesting hours off, that would be a convenient option for some, but we serve a wide variety of industries where shifts are not always exact hours and some people use time off requests to track late arrivals or early departures which could be in minutes, therefore we offer this increased flexibility in our time off requests to accommodate the needs of all types of situations, not just full hours or full days of time. This also helps to eliminate human error in calculations when requesting time off. We appreciate your feedback and always love hearing from our customers!
