Vorteile
We transitioned from outdated MAS90. Like that Sage 100 transition almost seamless.
Excited to utilize the automated tax filing features
Nachteile
Still learn the enhancements to the software from former version we were using, so there is currently alot of help menu searching to find out if we can do things better.

We use this for our accounting department and couldn't be happier. It is very easy to use and intuitive.

Full service accounting suite for large organizations
We use Sage 100 primarily for GL, AR, and AP. The software is full featured and high powered. The modules interface seamlessly. Sage offers multiple methods for importing transactions. Critical for effective use of the software and reporting functionality is IT support which is familiar with the program. We use an outside vendor - we do not interact with Sage directly, nor do we know what types of options may be available directly through the software publisher.

Must have competent support internally or externally in order to get the best use of the program.

Sage 100 and the many Add Ons it takes to run
If you are just looking for Accounting and very basic work orders (BOMs) you might choose SAGE. But anything deeper and it gets impossible to accomplish everything an ERP should.

Easy to use, robust and cost effective system
Sage 100 has multiple business modules which are not too difficult to learn and also the initial setup is not too cumbersome. It can be used to manage account payables, printing checks and for running the payroll. Creating the database takes a little bit of time but all the information is readily available at one location and is easily accessible. It has the ability to generate a large variety of reports and also customizable options make it a good one-stop solution.

1. Easy to operate, no specialized training required.
2. Easy to make changes in the data.
Nachteile
1. It is a little hard to get the support from customer service for the requests logged on but not too much of an issue.'
2. The number of steps for data recording can possibly be reduced in order to be even more user-friendly.
3. The newer versions of the program have a few bugs initially but they are resolved in the following versions.

This software is a good choice for small to medium non-for-profit organizations and companies.
Vorteile
The feature of "Option field" is very useful to track the revenue and expenses for project accounting.
The feature of "Office" is very useful to track the profit for each department.

As it changed a lot of from prior version, there should be more training to be provided for the users.

For a small NEW operation it would be great to create an inventory system. If you have to import from an old system you will have challenges.
Vorteile
It tracts inventory manually. If you want to create a scan system that's extra. If used properly would be accurate.
Nachteile
It does not update your inventory in a live form. There are too many windows to open to complete one task. When I went in to look for a decal inventory list, it took 2 minutes to pull up each list. Needless to say, for a manufacturing company, that doesn't work. We need to know in real time what needs to be ordered to get large equipment out on time

Accounting
Overall experience has been great with Sage. I am ablet o use it daily, monitor all accounting and close off my year well.
Vorteile
Sage 100 Cloud has improved over the years from simply accounting. The new interface is very easy to use and makes it easy to navigate through both desktop and online.
Nachteile
The reporting features are kind of outdated. New reporting according to IFRS should be implemented.

We are a magazine publishing company with some books. We publish 11 magazines bimonthly, and we have two joint venture companies. This makes bookkeeping very interesting and complicated.
We have used Peachtree for years but outgrew what it could do as far as reports, etc. So, we began looking for other options. We started with MAS 90 and have now gone to MAS 200. We were very satisfied with implementation. All of the reps that work for L. Kianoff are very easy to work with. They have been most helpful with any questions and changes that we needed.
We are able to pull the reports we need from MAS 200. If the report is not available, the customer service reps are ready to help us and write a report that we need. We have been very satisfied.

a bit archaic to learn
Vorteile
It can hold a lot of data and does have some great functionality for order entry as long as you have the back end with customer information set up previously as a basis. It stores the information for you so you don't have to enter it multiple times, you can lookup previous orders, etc.
Nachteile
the ease of use is not on par with newer software. they do have a learning module but every process seems very different from other programs I've used in the past. If you're familiar with other sage programs it may seem easy but to me it was not.

It was so easy to use that I self taught myself

This software would be great for a small sales company but we have overgrown its usefulness. Good ERP for the money.

I have more international companies that use KG over LBS, I wish the software had a live converting or sliding weight conversion for inventory and sales orders.

Vorteile
Sage 100's interface is pretty simple to use if you are computer savvy. Even if your not its not hard to learn how to use it within an hour. The language used helps the user navigate quite simply and allows for easy navigation. They sell quite a bit of modules, so if you are looking for a specific function you can probably find a module that will fit your needs to some extent.
Nachteile
While Sage 100's interface is quite simple it's still lacking. For one the search interface is very limited. If for example I wanted to search for a product by its specific dimensions it would be tricky if the dimensions were located in the items extended description. While minor it can become a headache.

Accounting and Payroll Software in a Multi-National Company
Sage is a powerful and flexible tool which can be used to manage the day to day accounting as well as in the maintenance of payroll records of the company. The multiple modules provided in the program increase its potential to be a multi-faceted software being able to handle most of the data centrally. Sage software offers many mobile cloud-based apps that leverage the data in the system to better manage sales, inventory, credit cards, service, billing, and payments.

1. Export functionality to excel and scheduler do not work sometimes.

Gets the job done
Very good accounting system for mid sized multi user company

Can enter a lot of invoices at once. Posts in batches which makes it hard to change entries. Debit and credit accounting
Nachteile
it asks too many questions regarding posting and printing batches. Can't get the accounts receivable invoices to be sent by email.

Great ERP for small businesses
Vorteile
The customer support is the main pro for this software. Most ERP systems rely on online support only, when I have an issue I need to speak to someone immediately and don't have time to wait on a help desk ticket to be created.
Nachteile
There is a little bit of a learning curve when you start with this ERP system. They do offer tutorials to get you started, I'd recommend going through all of them before getting started.

MAS 90 was great
Vorteile
MAS 90 was easy to use and rather flexible with its hardware requirements.
Nachteile
Sage100 requires a server, whereas MAS 90 did not. Since we operate on a peer to peer network, it would require a major change for us to upgrade. Second, they really play hardball with their maintenance plans. If you skip a year or two trying to save money, they will make you pay all those years back if you try to re-enroll in a plan.

My company has been using Sage MAS 90 for over ten years. I was not involved in the choosing of this software upgrade (we had used Quickbooks prior) but have been quite satisfied with the product for all my tasks, which include invoicing, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Sage has always been responsive to any issues or support we have requested. A few months ago we upgraded to Version 4.4 and it went very smoothly. I especially like the new paperless option eliminating the need to print every entry/process.

We use Sage MAS 90. We have been using this system since 2006, and we have been very pleased with the system. We recently upgraded the software and this was a very smooth process. We utilize the custom reports and are very pleased. This is the only module that I have found to be complicated to use. It is a great product once you figure it out. The customer support was very helpful when we needed it. We very rarely even need the support, but when we do use it our problems are always resolved quickly.

Great Program for Accounting
This program is very easy to learn and run. It is great for Accounts payables, receivables, printing checks, and running payroll. Also prints reports after each update so that you always have a great paper trail for audit support of all your actions. You can also set up different users to have different functions so that you can merge files and see what each person has put into the system. Easy to make corrections if needed!!

Sage gets the job done
Left because we worked with a third party software for field service management tools.
Vorteile
Sage is similar to many accounting software's with its break down and organization. Fairly easy to use.
Nachteile
The biggest problem is that it doesn't sync with third part software so it duplicates the process.

Vorteile
Sage is easy to use for the most part, and there are resources within the program if something doesn't make sense.
Nachteile
There are a lot of small things that shouldn't be necessary but are. For instance, to post an invoice, there are two steps where there really should only be one. If the second is forgotten, the GL does not show the invoice.
