Vimeo is perfect for the small church that would like to look like they are a big church.
Overall, we are very happy with Vimeo Pro. The portfolio that we use for our sermon archive "looks" close to the way our website does, but the ability to search for us is cumbersome.
Vorteile
Vimeo's backend interface is very intuitive. It's ability to be embedded with responsive websites is also very important to us.
Nachteile
A couple of the things that we have had issues with over the years are first, our ability to edit all of our metadata as a whole. If we were needing to add meta to all of our videos it would be very time consuming for us to complete. Secondly, finding where our archive or portfolios are within the backend don't exactly make sense. We would like to be able to add metadata to be able to search our videos but with over 1,000 videos in our account we'd have to have a full-time person on staff to do that at this point.

It just plain works!
Vimeo has given my church a wonderful place to host our service videos as well as special video projects. It’s a clean, sleek, and professional environment that doesn’t have the distractions of YouTube. It’s simple to share or embed Vimeo videos, and it works great every time! It just plain works. And their customer support is stellar! I’ve only had to contact them on a couple different occasions in the five years I’ve been using their service, but they were great both times! I would recommend Vimeo to anyone. YouTube is free, but if you have it in the budget, Vimeo is the better option.

I love the simplicity that Vimeo has engineered into the backend of their platform while maintaining vast customization options. Everything is easy to find, easy to learn, and easy to customize. It’s very user-intuitive and you can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into making it that way.
Nachteile
The search feature on the front end has much to be desired. I’ve never really been able to get the hang of it. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, but it doesn’t seem nearly as effective as YouTube’s searching, for example. In the very least, it’s not as user-intuitive.

If you want professional hosting for your videos, you find it in Vimeo!
Vimeo allows us to store our videos without any fear of losing access to them and provides us with an easy ability to share them. With plenty of upload capacity each week, we have never exhausted our data.
Vorteile
Vimeo is the place to go for hosting your professional videos. Why? I love the ability to I have to completely customize how my videos are used on the web. From private to public, to embedding and having unlimited ability to live stream, to multiple users and plenty of storage to upload every week, Vimeo Premium is great! We use this service every week as an essential to our church's media presence online. They are so much more than just hosting to us. They help our workflow and sharing ability across all platforms.
Nachteile
Vimeo Premium costs $75/month. There are two cheaper packages that may suit your needs. However, you do have to be able to justify the cost.

The cheapest and most efficient way to manage long-form video and more
In all my years creating video content, I've never experienced an easier way to upload, view, download, or watch all of my content in one place. We uploaded all of our sermons, creative videos, promotions and more weekly without much of a problem. While it's not cheap, it's very affordable in the grand scheme of comparative software for what it does, exudes professionalism and allows for some truly breathtaking options in customizing your content. Those upload quotas can create quite the headache, though.
Vorteile
The seamless integration allows for quick uploads, very strong communication on the process it takes to compress, convert, and post. There are numerous privacy options, from private links to password protected videos that give the user control over their projects unlike a lot of other platforms. There's also streaming features now that open up even more doors.
Nachteile
The upload quotas. Unless you have at minimum this Pro plan, you're going to run into trouble from time to time. We uploaded probably 18 GB's a week and cut it close several times, and sometimes had to wait until the following week to be able to post our content. That may not be the norm, but it keeps smaller churches and companies from utilizing it due to this not being an issue on YouTube.

Great foundation for video workflow
Vimeo Pro has been an essential part of our video team's editing workflow and makes sharing videos with others internally very easy.
Vorteile
We use Vimeo Pro mostly to share work in progress and proofs. The quick upload and large amount of storage makes it an ideal solution for this.
Nachteile
The features available with Vimeo Pro are pretty basic. Changing video settings on mobile is a bit of a headache.

Great quality video for proofing and private sharing
Vorteile
Vimeo has very good quality video uploading and strong compatibility. Becuase of this we use it for internal video and sharing proofs of videos being edited.
Nachteile
Vimeo doesn't do a great job of discovery compared to YouTube so we don't usually use the platform to publish public videos.

Vimeo Review
Vorteile
Vimeo is my preferred way to upload videos for our church. The features are easy to understand and any changes to the website I've seen over time have not been super overwhelming. It is user friendly for our viewers and I like that I can password protect, hide videos from the public page, and embed these files into emails with ease.
Nachteile
Their customer service is lacking. They take too long to respond and are not very helpful. I don't need their help too often - but I did have a billing issue for several weeks with no assistance from their tech department.

Vimeo is a great video uploading software
Vorteile
Vimeo makes uploading, storing, and embedding videos super easy. From a digital/web content providing perspective, we use this often to embed videos on web pages/emails and send them out to our congregants. We use it almost weekly to upload message videos from our weekend services and push content out to social media/emails.
Nachteile
So far we have no negative experience with this software. It's been great in what it offers and we'll continue to use it as long as the pricing stays consistent.

We do use Vimeo pro for years to broadcast our worship services.
Vorteile
I like how easy to use the software interface is and how easy it is to share in various things like our website, our app, and easily sent in the emails and share it on social media. It's also great for close captioning and has some great tools in services to add close captioning to your files.
Nachteile
What's the worst part of using Vimeo pro is the customer service, venues customer service is not good and I've had very poor interactions with them with little to no help.

Integral to the post-COVID streaming world
Vimeo has become more integral than ever to live-streaming in the post-COVID church. We have been reaching people worldwide through live-streaming of our service and Vimeo simplifies the process of getting it to multiple locations during and after the livestream itself. If you’re a church that is trying to figure out the best way to enhance your livestream presence, Vimeo is the way to go!

Our church has been using Vimeo where we post the link to it on our website. For some reason, many old links are broken and I can't figure out why. There aren't any new links to replace them with.

Great tool for managing video distribution
Excellent!! We subscribe to the Pro level of Vimeo to satisfy our weekly upload needs. It is GREAT!!!
Vorteile
Vimeo Pro allows me to manage our videos from my iPhone, which is extremely helpful when trying to publish weekly service videos. I always upload from a MacMini, but duties take me away from it. The app allows me to publish the video in two different formats after it is uploaded and processed. Helps me be in "two places at once!!"
Nachteile
I wish the statistical analysis on the app was a little more clear. I like the statistics I can access through a web browser, and wish I could get that same breakdown in the app.

Been using Vimeo for Years now. Simplicity of use is incredible. Not hard to do anything. And one of the best players on the internet.
Nachteile
Hard to find anything I don't like. I suppose the only thing I can think of would be the weekly upload limits can be a bit annoying. But I've contacted support in the past when we've had unusual upload schedules that were being limited by the limit and they've moved my refresh dates to accommodate. I doubt they'll do this often, but if its an unusual circumstance they might help.

The Premier Host for Beautiful Video
While YouTube and other video host sites have become a "social network" of sorts, Vimeo preserves its reputation as a platform focused on the art. Through its less-is-more design, and host of features, it allows the viewer to get the most stunning experience for high-definition video created by so many talented videographers and organizations.
Vorteile
Its video embedding customization options are excellent. We use Vimeo as our go-to for embedding all 4k and other high-def videos we produce.
Nachteile
Literally nothing. I've used this for nearly a decade, and it only improves. Other than one fluke billing discrepancy, everything else has been great.

Vimeo has improved the quality of our online service and allowed us to increase our communication by video. Integrates well with social media platforms, especially Facebook. The analytics have been helpful and informed the way we create videos.
Nachteile
The software has been a great tool. The customer service was slow. We needed to adjust our subscription and it took a few weeks to get a response, not a deal breaker, but I would have liked a more prompt response.

Vimeo Review
We record all of our services and upload them to Vimeo. We embed the current service on our website but for all past services we set up albums that we then link to from our website (so we aren't overloading our website by hosting hundreds of videos).
Vorteile
I like the amount settings I have available to adjust and alter, and that my settings are carried over when I embed a video on my website.
Nachteile
I would like to be able to export my videos in a podcast/videocast format but am not able to (or I have not been able to figure out how if it is possible).

The place for premium video
Overall, it has been a great product for us. The ability to share and embed videos the exact way we want is just what we needed.
Vorteile
I really like that the end-user experience in video is customizable and feels premium. We are not looking for monetization, so having a video embed free of extraneous links to sites we may not agree with is a real plus.
Nachteile
The admin interface is both a bit too simple (in how it organizes videos) and too complex (some needed items are hard to find) but overall this is a minor complaint.

Plays well with others
My overall experience has been great. With the help of their API, I've been able to create a powerful plugin to display our videos on our website with some extra features.
Vorteile
The no-nonsense web interface is a plus. The ability to make videos private by password or by a special link is great as well. The newer "review" feature is a great way to encourage collaboration and critique as well.
Nachteile
The one thing I feel is somewhat lacking is the analytics. Some of the data can be somewhat difficult to wade through.

Vorteile
Vimeo is a great tool for us as we record, upload, and store hundreds of videos. Vimeo is easy to use and is a great software to host and store your videos. Vimeo makes it easy to organize your video projects, get a shareable link, and even codes to embed your videos, which I do a lot of for our website.

So far I have not encountered anything that has been troublesome with Vimeo.
