Elorus as a freelance translator
Vorteile
First off: The customer service is awesome! Before I signed up Takis was super helpful in answering all my questions and definitely also a big reason why I decided to commit to Elorus. Elorus is easy to use and offers a plethora of features. Personally I only use the invoice creation and time tracking feature at the moment. The best thing for me, which makes Elorus stand out from other service providers I have tried, is the ability to assign different currencies to clients. Also the invoice templates are beautiful and easy to customize with lots of options. Tracking payments is also easy, clear and fun. I can thoroughly recommend Elorus to other freelancers.
Nachteile
There is only one thing I have to mention here, and that is the lack of "words" as a measurement unit for invoicing. As a translator we very often charge per word (source or target words) and without this option I have to wiggle my way around the existing measurement units to bill for words. This makes it awkward for me and for a less professional looking invoice position, so I hope that this will be added to the units very soon!

Value for money. The cost of Elorus is very low compared to other tools and compared to the functionality that provides.
Nachteile
Receipt does not support numbering. In Cyprus, the law says that the receipt documents should have a unique number as the invoices. Elorus does not support autoincrement numbering in its documents.

Elorus from a sole proprietorship perspective
Very satisfied, with free access for sole proprietorships that are still starting out with a single client. You can do up to 5 clients for free without any purchases on your part which was what sealed the deal for me.
Vorteile
Easy to deploy and use. Takes a bit getting used to but after that it's smooth sailing. You can also easily expand your business and do time tracking for hourly employees which I plan to do in the future. I hope purchasing a license is as easy as it was setting the business account in the first place

The UI takes some getting used to but with some exploration most tabs are self explanatory.

It is better than other low cost options I have tried.
Vorteile
I needed a free or cheap invoicing and time tracking tool and this provided such.
Nachteile
The invoice numbering is not good and finicky, as is the time entering when using exact times. Also it sent emails I did not intend to send without any notice, to the companies I work for telling them they were late paying me.

The definitive recommendation for small business owners
Vorteile
I mainly use Elorus for invoice creation, expense and time tracking. The ease of use, the integration with the government databases is great, and can save yourself a lot of headaches. Special mention to the impeccable customer support. I faced one issue with a couple of invoices and the promptness as well as the level of support was something I have not experienced on any other application of any kind.
Nachteile
While it's not a "con" exactly, I frequently create invoices that are similar to each other, and I would like some form of more advanced (and easier to use) invoice template support.

A positiview view on Elorus by Backspace Project
It is a very nice experience. I have in my plan to use it even more and use its tracking features for my expenses as well but I haven't found time yet.
Vorteile
It is free to use for a limited number of invoices. I have only a client because my company is like a personal one but I can do all the actions that I need through Elorus. I know that I am not the ideal customer for Elorus but I would recommend it or consider using it because of this experience.
Nachteile
The process was simple so I don't have something specific in mind. The learning curve was the expected one.

Happy using it, would definitely recommend to freelancers and consultants for all the tracking and invoicing features that help you do your job seamlessly

Elorus helps me navigate the complex Greek accounting system by myself, providing all the bridges with the gov services. Easy to setup and use for my limited needs. Will probably take advantage more of the other features over time. All at a fair price.
Nachteile
I would appreciate if they integrated a wizard navigating me safer into which cost centres to pick base don my activities that correspond to the public accounting system...but then again that's what accountants are for.

I love it but No Payroll Module
The problem I am solving is time management (time sheets) and invoicing at an affordable price. The lack of a Payroll module is causing me to hesitate to cancel my Quickbooks account so I might need to move back.

Easy to use, beautiful interface and affordable price.
Nachteile
Don't have a Payroll module. In the near future I will need to move from Elorus to a platform that provides Billing, Invoicing, Time Management and Payroll in a single solution. I currently use Quickbooks online and it is expensive but have more functionalities. Considering to go back.

Using Elorus as a Software Freelancer
Using Elorus it is easy to administer your business in a tidy manner. You can track your time & then bill it all from the same platform. Listing business expenses is also relatively hassle-free. Probably the best feature is the integration of Elorus invoices with myData (the Greek government's finance API), meaning you can save your invoice and it will automatically upload on myData (with currency converted to EUR) without having to do manual calculations & uploads.

Elorus: A great solution for my startup company!
Vorteile
I love the interface and how everything is clear. And wherever it feels that it is not clear, there is a very helpful support center, where you'll find everything. And then even if you need to speak with someone, they are very professional. No problems at all, until today. I've used Elorus back in 2012, in my first company. Unfortunately I closed that company. Now I started over once more, and again, for my financials I use Elorus with no second thoughts at all!
Nachteile
Well I am not an accountant. I don't want to become one. Still every company has to have one. I have one for my company. But from my point of view, until now, I haven't found something to dislike. On the contrary, the platform helps me understand better all the accounting issues that I have to deal among with my accountant.

Elorus for the Win!
My experience has been excellent. I have had wonderful, above board customer service that I wasn't exactly expecting when I started. I am on the free plan because I only have one client but if I get more, I can definitely see myself paying for this product for its ease of use and doing what I am wanting to do for my business.

The time tracking feature is my favorite because that is what I was looking in a software to do for me. I needed it to keep track of my time for my very small part-time business.
Nachteile
I can't think of any at this time. I can see how this would be helpful for companies with more clients.

Some features like changing the email template are hidden within settings - however, the online and the live help with the Elorus helpdesk is highly responsive, so whatever issue you have is solved within the hour.

Am using this product for 6 monthos, am in a FREE subscription because of less than 5 invocies/mothn but i would happily paid for it.
Vorteile
It is an exceletn ERP software, continius development adding new featurs and quickly adapting any new tax changes. The MOST importand of all is a very well documented online manual and EXCELENTcustomer supprtor response. for any question they did response instant and on topic.
Nachteile
the only feature am missing is more complex reports, and save custom filters.
