It's so easy to use- everything is where you expect it to be, and the pricing is great compared to other companies on the market. I switched to MMS 3 years ago and I would never go back! I use it for my personal studio and my work's music studio that I oversee! 10/10 I recommend it to every teacher I meet!

I actually have no complains about this software, anytime I've had a question the support staff answers it almost instantly- it has been a real joy!

Does all the required setup for your school for teachers, students , scheduling, invoices. It even has a rudimentary website that you can direct prospective students to until you develop a more professional one.

It can be difficult to find some options and preferences that are nested within other areas.

It is reasonably priced, even for small studios or private teachers.

It took awhile to understand the billing setup aspect but it is very flexible and it is easy to change things as needed.

I love the ease of invoicing straight off the studio calendar! Families love to login, make payments online, and see their lessons/recitals schedule on the calendar. Teacher notes emailed directly from calendar/attendance make the connections possible if parents aren't present on a weekly basis. I love everything about MyMusicStaff and highly recommend it!

I dream of one day being able to directly connect to QuickBooks from MyMusicStaff!

I love the scheduling, keeping track of attendance, invoice options, keeping track of my tax info, and the online payment option.

Nothing. I love it and can’t find any feature that I don’t like.

The schedules can be easily made and spontaneously changed. You don't loose the track of unmade payments. With the recent Covid-Situations it made some quick adjustments to employ all features needed for a proper quality online schooling.

Nachteile

I still didn't find a way to integrate and synchronise the calendar with my own day to day calendar. Apart from that I can't think of any feature that i personally am missing, or others could possibly need.

1) The staff respond promptly to every query and take suggestions seriously, usually upgrading, therefore, continuously improving the service/site.
2) The one flat cost per month, regardless if you have 10 students or 50.

It would be better if it were free! But since the developers deserve to get paid, I think the price is great for all the features and the responsiveness of the team.

All my teachers LOVE the ease of getting paid monthly AUTOMATICALLY! The PayPal option is fabulous! We are SO glad we found My Music Staff.

Setting up our year is a ton of work, but SO WORTH it, knowing that our parents will be reminded monthly and credit cards are billed automatically. This is our third year, and after the initial set up each year, it is the best thing since sliced bread!

The calendar and the payroll system are what you need for a multi-teacher studio. The expenses / income are intergrated with the payroll to give us a clear picture as what an account manager will do for our small business.

The sms texting : if it could be replaced by WhatsApp.

The download of online resources sometimes takes plenty of time.

The customisation of fiscal year of my country (Apr 1 - Mar 31) which I have mentioned to the technical support many times.

There are many things I like about MMS. The scheduling, financial organization and ability to take online payments have made my life much easier. The customer service is great and the value can’t be beat.

Nachteile

There’s nothing I don’t like about it. The only things I’d like to see in addition is the ability to keep professional contact lists and maybe even a to-do list.

We have been with MMS from close to the start of their creation and I have found that they are always updating and improving their software. Furthermore, their tech support is very good and their improvements don't seem to upset the software from running.

I think, if I could change anything it would be the colour of the (X's) for when students and teachers are away. I would like different colours for what has been marked.

I like how students can sign up on their own by using the calendar. I also like that it keeps track of everyone's payment and subtracts from their total for each lesson.

I can't say there's something I like the least, but I think it'd be cool if students could get some sort of alert when there's a new blog post.

It's very easy to use, and has so many features! And the high level of support, and how quick the support team reply is an added bonus. There are also many updates that make the software even better all the time. It's also offered at such an incredible price!

I love the calendar, student details and invoicing. I also like the website hosting. I love that they are constantly updating as well. It keeps track of mileage as well! I like the attendance and make up lesson tracking as well.

I would like to have seen easier way to track mileage: enter start/end odometer readings and mileage automatically calculated.

I first found My Music Staff while I was looking for a way to send reminders to my students. What I quickly learned was that it does this and SO MUCH MORE! From billing to scheduling. I can’t imagine running my teaching business without it. I recommend it to all of my music teacher friends.

When we choose the user is as a Teacher, they could not view other teachers' profile as an admin which does not really work with us. It will be great if you could make this option for us.

I love that all of my admin, even updating my webpage, is done in ONE place. It's intuitive, mobile friendly and aesthetically pleasing. As a creative soul, many software systems have felt daunting, but the design and flow of this one makes it easy to do admin! And most recently, the introduction of the beta SMS to parents and students has been AMAZING!

My Music Staff is an excellent tool for keeping a music studio organized. The scheduling and billing tools are easy to use, and save me lots of manual data entry.

Great features; without it I would not have been able to add employees. We now have four employees and 88 students. I was using spreadsheets before finding this software and it was a MESS!

Sometimes it can be slow; a lag of a few seconds is not a big deal with one entry but when you have dozens to make it can feel like a roadblock. But for the price - that is a "small potatoes" complaint!

MMS is so intuitive - it works the same way as my brain, and everything can be customized to fit your studio and preferences. Also, I've had to contact their customer service several times, and without fail, they have always been both helpful and quick to reply. Two thumbs up from this piano teacher!

I love My Music Staff because it allows me to keep track of my students, their repertoire, their attendance and their progress. I love the invoicing system. It is less expensive than many other studio management tools and is very intuitive in its use. The calendar is easy to use and very helpful.

I love that It's so easy to send an invoice to people who have forgotten to pay, and then instead of waiting another week for them to come to class, they can pay right then! It keeps everything organized much better and easier than I could ever do myself!
