I really liked how customizable Namely was, and it was very user-friendly. When a colleague outside of the HR department would jump on, they could pick up right where I left off.

Nachteile

Manually typing everything took up so much time and left room for more errors. Unfortunately the other programs I used worked better for that reason!

Solid software for the small to medium sized company. Has not been built for the small startup environment.

Would like to see a light version for the smaller business and slightly better customer support at times.

The newsfeed feature. It keeps our employees engaged and offers the ability to send mass email messages.

Not able to have documents signed after hiring into the system. Poor communication during implementation.

In theory their service is end-to-end. what we found was that the modules didn't seamlessly exist so information was being entered twice

One of the strongest points of Namely is how easy it is to learn and use. The interface is intuitive and well-organized, which makes it easy to get the information you need quickly and leave, as opposed to other software that can leave you fumbling around with it for a few minutes each day.

Nachteile

The only issue I ever had was wondering who the Feed/Updates section was shared with. Is it the whole company? If so, it could be better suited as something you could also use to communicate some information with just your team or department.

Very easy to configure. Has a beautiful user interface. Includes human resources functionality.

Very pricey. Implementation takes several weeks.

Appears to be highly configurable and from what I've seen can integrate quite a few systems (ATS, LMS, Performance Management, surveys, etc). The interface is so easy to use as well and esthetically pleasing!

Nachteile

Unless you're planning to integrate their payroll solution, they don't integrate outside of their HRMS with automation.

Very simple to use. It is very much a step by step process of how to create a flow in the system. Minimal customizing is available so that makes the program itself really simple to use and create on.

Nachteile

It can be viewed as too simple. There is very minimal conditional logic that can be used. You're going to want to carefully create and assign Roles to make the system work as desired.

Namely is great at making everything streamlined and easy. Not only is it seamless on the backend, but for frontend users it's extremely clean and neat. The site is very responsive and it feels "lightweight". That is to say that there aren't unnecessary menus, everything is clearly easy to find, and the site is very fast.

Nachteile

Nothing really! They have a mobile app but I don't think that we can use it because we have a special server which is unfortunate, but really not that big of a deal.

Payroll and HR sides are separate and do not communicate with each other. A LOT of double work!

This platform is very easy to use. It is a great safe way to store all your internal information. Very easy to request days off and keep track of your PTO and sick days.

I would love to have more features available to users not just admins. It could be useful as a more interactive platform

Our company uses Namely for payroll and benefits mainly, and it has been a good experience overall. Customer service is super friendly and quick to help.

Not much negative things to say. This app has been pretty easy to use, if there are any issues, customer service is quick to help.

Set up is pretty manual, which can be said for 9/10 tools. If you don't have a structure for your organization, this is a lot more difficult as they don't have standard templates

I've been working with Namley for almost two months and am very impressed with how easy this product is to use. The on-boarding tool is excellent. We also rely on the task list to help our team set everything up for new hires. I also like how easy it is to process payroll. The customer support is very good. I have a rep that works with us on HRIS and payroll and a different rep who helps with the benefits. I can't say enough about how helpful and responsive they both are.

Nachteile

There are a couple of improvements that could make things easier. An example would be to have the ability to enter information for all of the fields on the I9 form would be helpful.

Customer support group is terrible and at times just doesn't respond for weeks. Not user friendly.. a lot of backend work required for it to be useful

We recently implemented Namely and it's been a welcome addition! Making benefit elections was a breeze. Managing time off is very simple and easy to track for managers and employees alike. We've also moved our quarterly MBOs from google sheets to Namely.

Nachteile

The biggest con seems to be general slowness in loading pages. It seems like almost every page I click takes a few seconds to load as opposed to instantaneous loading. I would love to see their lightweight performance management system be improved so I can conduct weekly 1:1 q/a and follow up in namely as opposed to google docs.

It's easy to use for employee management. The interface is clean, organized, and constantly being updated with new features. It has the ability to automate and delegate tasks. All in one software for HR management.

It's missing a few features from older HRIS systems. Scheduling feature can be time-consuming. Loading pages can be sometimes slow.

The best thing about Namely is their affordable pricing, and the ease of use.
Creating new hire profiles, running reports, and entering time off is super easy. It's a great product for small startups looking for an all inclusive HRIS, benefits tool and payroll solution.
Overall, customer service and implementation team are pretty good and reliable.

Nachteile

Some parts of the tool are not intuitive. Data importing is far more complicated than it should be.
Also, some things like org charts are not in the most intuitive format.

Small complaints, and likely things that will be addressed in late updates.

The best part about this product is how easy it is to use! We just on-boarded 100 employees and everyone complimented how user-friendly it was. The best part about this vendor is their response time! Our rep is always available by phone and email and is open to our suggestions.

I have no complaints yet. I'm looking forward to continuing to educate ourselves and take advantage of every aspect of the software!

I like that I can check my hours I have worked, put in request for time off, fix my time, clock in and out for breaks, lunches Etc and view my paystub with one system.

The platform for users is designed like Facebook so it's very familiar and user friendly. Other portions of the software offer the company places to store documents that employees would use so they can easily access them.

The software can't track comp time, which is firmly integrated in our business. Also, as a division of a government entity, it doesn't fit the needs of our payroll department/State Board of Accounts.

It gets the job done for some important HR information. I however believe that HR is seriously neglected int he work place as more and more people move away from caring about their employees.

Its slow, and sometimes just spins. Puting lots of details in causes it to work less than ideally. Not really worth the cost.

Nothing about this software has been negative to me. I think it is very good at its function! Overall, the only thing that might b negative about it is that I can't use GIF's.

When this product was introduced to our company and all the pertinent information was loaded, it became our daily go-to product. We have so much internal information that needs to be at our fingertips, and this is it. It's user-friendly, and everything is always up to date.

The review process is a little lengthy, from the part of creating templates to finally getting both signatures. There are kind of a high number of moving parts there.

So far, there's nothing that I don't like. But I wish there was a way I could turn off the "Response to time off request" notification without contacting an admin. If I can approve PTO, I should be able to disable notifications.

The feed stream in the control panel is my favorite feature of the product.

I feel like the review process is crazy complicated. All I want to do is just click on someone and give them their review, but I have to ask him all the time, "Okay, can you see it? Can you see it now?" Maybe I just haven't researched it enough, but it is frustrating.

It seemed simple and easy to use but we ended up going with another systems as this one seemed better geared towards bigger companies that are ready to integrate all of their HR systems.

It seems it was more useful for bigger companies (500+) not for small companies (less than 150 employees).

This is a great software for midsize companies that need assistance with remaining compliant as well as managing your benefit portfolio.

Like any software the setup can be a hassle but hey this is HR software you need to follow the dots so that you don't get hemmed up later for not being compliant.

I wish it had a good applicant tracking solution that was included. We ended up having to go to a third party (JazzHR) to meet our ATS needs.

I like Namely because it is so simple to navigate. Our old HR software was clunky and badly organized. As an employee, I only ever need to check this sort of thing on occasion, and there are a few specific things I look for when I do, like paystubs. I want those things to be easy to find so I can get in and out as fast as possible. Namely makes that easy.

Nachteile

There are some features that just don't seem necessary for an HR software, like a social feed, performance reviews, and task management. We have plenty of other softwares that accomplish those functions, but I'm sure other teams could get good use out of them.
