I love the user interface, it is so simple and intuitive that there are hardly any errors to be expected. In the designer role, building an eCRF is playful and so easy that it's a lot of fun. The design validation is a huge help, errors generated are caught immediately and it is impossible to publish a design that contains hard errors. This saves the designer a lot of time looking for errors.

Nachteile

When adding users, I miss the automated process to add users faster. You can already invite several users, but you still have to assign roles manually. It would be nice if you could think of a solution there, in the sense of ready-made lists that you could upload there. So that you could upload users with their associated roles directly.

We have been using Viedoc for more than ten trials and found that it is the most straightforward and decent unified EDC platform. In addition, all of our team members, including DM, ClinOps etc. in GLC and also, very important site staff, are amazed by the completeness of applications and features that Viedoc provides to cover all our needs. No matter how complex the clinical study is, ViedocV4 always makes our working process seamless and smooth.

Furthermore, Viedoc’s support team is always helpful and practical, ensuring maximum performance wherever and wherever we run our study. The price is also affordable. We were not charged license fees until after our study started, and there were no unexpected charges, which was a plus.

Nachteile

The medical coding feature is waiting to be complete by adding the 'medical coding proving' ability.
If the way of integration with other apps can be improved, that would be really great.

My overall experience with Viedoc is great, because it contains not only features for collection of clinical trial, but also supports us and other users with features, such as randomization, supply management, data review, source data verification, reference range management, medical coding, reporting, user training and certification.
I like the Viedoc Reports application that gives a quick overview of the study progress and performance.

The overview of assigned study design versions and applied revisions could be improved.

In designer, while designing huge forms (more than 300 fields)., it does take more time in validating and publishing and previewing. Also, it would be great if the 'save changes' option is made visible only if we updated something in the forms (as like in study workflow, where it will show 'save changes' option only if there were any updates made.it was really great to include form link item. i would like to recommend adding a 'table' option in the standard elements for 'add a field', since i came across couple of requirements to have an editable table in Viedoc.I do have one query, in giving function for a field, to return a value. In a single line text field, i wanted to 'return' a function as "return I.N.R". But as a standard, Viedoc takes "EventID.FormID.FieldID", but all i wanted is to retuen the text "I.N.R". Hope i explained it clearly. Thank you.

The building of studies are easy to use and very user friendly. It is easy to onboard new users and is easy to understand and navigate. Newer versions are making it easier to do more complex functions and the reusability is getting a lot easier.

The extracts are bit of a challenge. The SAS code supplied with data extracts does not always work so a more advanced version was needed in order to convert the data into SAS datasets.

Viedoc Designer is very convenient to use for both initial study design and subsequent changes. Viedoc Clinic offers a well structured interface, easy access to data for review. Data exports offer a variety of options for specific data and different formats.

Nachteile

All major features work well. However, there are a few minor improvements I would like to see: The Data Review console for each subject in Viedoc Clinic jumps back to the top every time I interact with it, which can be frustrating in studies with more events/forms. In Viedoc Designer, implementing changes can become complicated with Revised versions, when there is data entered on several different major (fully customizable) versions - a new Revised version must be created for each major version. This can lead to errors and confusion the more changes/redesigns are needed for a study.

Viedoc is very easy to use and it fulfills all the necessary criteria needed for data capture in clinical trials. It enables integration with other systems when needed. The eTMF/eISF are very welcome features that were released during 2021 and we are already using features that enable decentralized study activities successfully.

There is no CTMS functions as part of the eSuite from Viedoc.

After using several market-leading EDC systems in my work as a clinical project manager, I prefer working with Viedoc. Viedoc is an extremely user friendly system with intuitive functions for data collection, monitoring and reporting. The design is excellent and the safety reporting and data export functions are far better than in other systems. Viedoc is highly appreciated among site staff, monitors, data managers and project managers.

We are a growing startup company, in the midst of a FIH clinical study for an innovative medical device in the field of heart failure management. Thanks to previous experience with building eCRFs and data management we chose to build the eCRF and manage the data ourselves. However due to the fact that we were unfamiliar with Viedoc, the guidance and support of the Viedoc team was needed. Luckily, the support team is made out of professional lovely people guiding us for over 18 months now, and their response time is amazingly quick. The eDC system itself is very reliable and it is user-friendly for both the clinical sites (European territories) and for us (being easy to design and administrate).

The system is very user friendly. The design of the eCRF through Viedoc Designer team was excellently supervised and our requests were always met in a solution-oriented manner. Viedoc also offers the possibility to create eCRFs in a company administrated organization instance. The elearnig section is very well equipped with video tutorials and use cases.

Working in Viedoc using different roles as one person leads to many different tabs, so you have to jump from one window to another. In a few cases, however, it could also be an advantage.

During the implementation of the EDC module, the Viedoc team displayed a high degree of competence, flexibility and responsiveness. We received smart advices from the programing team. The Project Manager is very custom orientated and addressed our requests and questions instantly. A great team which delivers timely and with high quality.

As new features have been added into the system it is getting slower. For example, refreshing Viedoc Reports in Viedoc Admin, sites administration, in Designer printing the study documentation like annotated CRFs, workflows. Especially, when we have 'big' studies, and popular time points on a day when 'everybody' is working with Viedoc.

The software is incredibly easy to use from both the designer and clinician perspectives. This makes it efficient to build, deploy, and train new sites for any study. For small medical device companies, efficiency is key.

Nachteile

There may be some advanced features that are available with larger/more expensive EDC systems. However, Viedoc has done a great job incorporating feedback for improvement. One feature that would be nice to add is expanding the customized reporting tools. Currently, any report is possible with some R coding, but it would be great to bring that into the low-code nature of the rest of the platform.

We have used many EDC systems and we have almost exclusively come to using Viedoc for all our clinical projects both pre market IDEs and post Market studies. The value for the cost and the modern interface were game changers for us and our clinical sites. In addition, I can't say enough about the support from the Viedoc team and the flexibility with pricing and study start up. We work with a lot of smaller clients and their studies are always getting delay or moved due to FDA/Regulatory issues/surprises and not having to be locked into paying at a set time is a huge deal. We recently had a surprise issue come up with an FDA IDE study and the company's roll out of a pilot study got pushed 6 months. The database was built set up and ready to use. However, due to this issue the company couldn't start the study until some other data was gathered. No problem with Viedoc, their team doesn't start billing until the 1st patient is in. Previously that client had used another well known company (that I would love to name) and their billing and ethical practices are so poor that this delay would have cost them real $$. However, they were delighted with Viedoc and their flexibility.

In addition, we build the database ourselves and it is easy to build with modern tools and super flexible to customize. And it seems like every time we implement a new DB build, there are a ton of new features.

No system is perfect but so far this exceeds our expectations and our clients too!

Nachteile

We don't use their CTM system. I think they have done a lot of work on that piece but we have our own in house and it works for our process better. I wish there was a way to customize theirs a bit more. Just a minor comment.

I find Viedoc very user-friendly. I experience that once the site users are trained, the questions we reecieve from them are limited. The eLearning is very detailed and includes a lot of pictures making it easy to follow. The step-for-step guidelines in the eLearning can easily by shared with the sites that are facing troubles with data entry.

The ViedocMe application is a great addition to the eCRF Clinic allowing the subject to fill in electronic questionnaires.

From a designer perspective, I think it is quick to set up a study and possible to design the eCRF to fill your study specific needs. It is easy to configure the data checks to limit data entry errors and I think it is very helpful to be able to configure visibility of forms and visits, so that not everything is visible at once.

The Viedoc Reports function is appreciated. It is comprehensive and makes it easy to review data.

Nachteile

It would sometimes be more convenient if we could edit the settings for user roles without having to do a new design. If the roles configuration were moved to Global Settings, it is easier to do quick updates.

The thing that it is not possible to link Concomitant Medications to Medical History and/or Adverse Event is a big downside. This is one of the features that I have missed the most. But it is my understanding that this feature will come in the next release.

From a study manager/Data manager perspective, it can be difficult to troubleshoot ViedocMe issues. It may seem straight forward but we do face that Investigators don't know how to check if the email or phone number has been set up correctly or whether the Reminders have been enabled.

It would also be nice, if the email/phone reminders for ViedocMe users could be edited (text and frequency) without updating the design. In many studies, we experience low compliance with the ViedocMe forms. An eLearning within the application has been requested by several customers.

There is no alert/notification when a query is answered or closed by sites or another user different from the one who open the query.
Sites can unlocked pages which are already monitored and locked, and modify the data without any notifications such is not normal.
Not possible to custom visibility condition on common event (if forinstance the instance constate is not signed).
Visibility condition is possible between pages in the same visit but not between page from different visits.

Viedoc is very user-friendly and easy to use. As a data manager, I was able to design forms quickly, on my own, thanks to the helpful eLearning documentation and videos. The support team and the Viedoc team in general are responsive and professional. The system is constantly improving with regular updates which is not the case with all systems.

Nachteile

Managing the roles and rights associated with a specific design is difficult. We often need to add roles or change specific rights during the course of a study and creating a new version of the design (with the impact on data management that this entails) is restrictive.
Importing a list of users based on an excel template could be a time saver for user creation.

The system is easy to use, the clinical site users and CRAs like it, the Viedoc team is very responsive and the quality of programing is very high. The software is consistently in improvement, they are very proactive.

Viedoc is easy to work with. We train sites in the use of the software and it is very easy to train trial staff. The software gives very good overview of schedule of events.

eTMF is not very userfriendly. Very difficult to find the correct artifact. Difficult to get an overview of what documents still missing in the database.

The colorful design style and general layout of the software is very user friendly and makes it easy to use for mostly everyone, good documentation (but many users prob. dont read it - accessability thereof (e.g., search, integration) could be improved)

While advancing in Viedoc use, you start to see some limitations - sometimes little bugs, more often functionality that is not there. It is not clear how feature requests are handled.

Overall ease of design, implementation and usability through all elements of a study. The design, UAT and start up processes allow us to get to study start faster and with less cost than other systems. The system's intuitive and attractive interface makes it easy for users to come up to speed in a short amount of time. On the backend, the available data management tools are helpful during the study and quite sound for managing final study data.

Nachteile

The need to jump in and out of the AE, Conmed and Med History pages to find sequence numbers for related items is inconvenient. Also, the lack of autopopulation for Conmeds from the WHO Drug dictionary is also inconvenient, although I understand that may not be an issue in PCG's control.

Fast in developing new functionality. Easy to use, open for built in java scripts to run it in a more advanced way. Easy to get support for all kinds of question. Professional and friendly staff.

Small errors, can somtimes take time to get smaller changes done. API integration needs more work and is interesting. Maybe more in reports could be customized or maybe there should be a place where you could share R script for use in reports and outside Viedoc for reporting. We may migrate to using R for listing and reporting too instead of SAS.

Designing an electronic CRF and possibility to reuse an existing design are very easy. Data export is very simple and a lot of simple automatic edit checks can be programmed directly in the eCRF.

Nachteile

The Query management module is not usefull at all. Impossible to select a query from the research field with key words, impossible to navigate between several forms when an edit check is related to more than one form.
The time entered as greater than 23:59 are automatically replaced by the system instead of flagged as erroneous.
Reports configuration in Viedoc are very limited if we don't know R programmation langage.
