Really positive! Employee Voice by Organized feedback is now interacting with over 10000 staff...
The ability to engage rapidly with our full staff through the use of the General Feedback community. We are also able to generate a significant number of ideas on how we can change our processes from the people most involved in them across the full council family and ALEO's. Considering we have approximately 33,000 staff, this is hugely significant and Employee Voice by Organized Feedback is absolutely integral to all of this.
Vorteile
At Glasgow City Council we have incorporated Lean six-sigma methodology into everything that we do. One of the key aspects of Lean is to obtain the voice of the process, customer, and stakeholders, and Employee Voice by Organized Feedback gives us the opportunity to do so. I work within the Chief Executives department and can easily moderate the site which currently has over 6,000 users (and will grow) across 11 services currently. Creating new communities for each of our services and ALEO's, irrelevent of the complexity of their structure, took a matter of minutes and was/is easily customizable to fit the needs of each of them individually. This means that although there is huge contrasts in the roles and responsibilities between services, Employee Voice provides us with the FLEXIBILITY to work effectively across all of them.
Currently, we are using Employee Voice to identify projects put forward by staff members who see opportunities to improve in the way we work, and by creating moderators for each service areas in conjunction with the Lean teams we are able to show the staff quickly and easily that their ideas matter to us by having simple FEEDBACK loops to communicate directly with the employee's themselves. This has a direct impact on the willingness of the staff to engage in the change, and allows the Project teams to easily and quickly get in touch with the staff at the heart of the current process, to work with them to make it more efficient.
Nachteile
Previously, one of the limitations of the software was an inability to report quickly straight from the website, however currently there is a business intelligence software that is in the beta stage of integration with the website (that I, and Organized Feedbacks development team is currently testing) that will make reporting on behalf of the whole council a pleasure rather than a chore.
One key point to note is that whenever I have had any issue with the software, the Organized Feedback team have acted to fix the issue as rapidly as possible. Their customer service is second to none.
