Great for Solos Just Starting out
It is a positive experience. Everyone has been helpful in answering my questions and getting me onboarded.
Vorteile
I really like the user interface/layout. It feels very organized and non-chaotic. i know where everything is, and can easily locate case information/create new cases and invoices.
Nachteile
No serious cons. It is perfect and easy to use. My clients find it easy and straightforward. I would like it if there were more options to customize invoices. This may already exist in the premium plan perhaps, but I don't want to pay extra for this one little tweak/preference. I would like more flexibility and ease with invoice customization.

MyCase in a Nutshell.
Overall, its been a pleasure, however, for the cost and with competition out there like Clio, more needs to be done on the automation side and on the reporting side.
Vorteile
This program is needed for daily file managements and task follow throughs.
Nachteile
There is no way to implement a workflow in lead. Leads are tomorrow's clients, but, if you fail to follow through on the leads, they will go somewhere else. Just as in cases, there needs to be a way to implement workflows on leads.
Also, there needs to be better reports for accounting. You may enter 10 or 20 or more time entries that are billable in multiple cases. There is no way to run a report on "open time entries that are billable" to see what is pending. The financial reports are convoluted.

Very Happy with MyCase!
We have loved it - we are able to keep exponentially better records in all aspects of our cases. From leads to case completion, there's a place in MyCase to document everything, and we absolutely love that. Being able to customize our own workspace within MyCase has been amazing as well. We can collect only the information that we need.
Vorteile
The reduction in paperwork is worth its weight in gold. We can documents within the firm with absolutely no extra steps. By being able to add or remove staff from each individual case, we can ensure the security of our cases, the notes, the documents, etc.
Nachteile
That you took away the email function that let us draft emails from within MyCase, and attach case documents. That was absolutely amazing. Now we have to download documents to our computer, and send it from Outlook. It was WAY more convenient when we could do it from within MyCase. Also, that ensured that the email was part of the case record with no additional effort.

We don't know what we would do without it
MyCase has made us much more efficient we use it for time tracking, clients contacts, invoicing and calendaring.It is a very cost effective management tool plus very helpful in that clients can see what is happening in their cases.

Great CRM for Legal Firms
Vorteile
We use MyCase mainly for case management & it is wonderful! We're able to bill all of our legal clients directly onto their related matter making it extremely easy to have them pay directly online with credit cards or even make offline payments & have them saved on the file! We save all of our notes on OneDrive & MyCase as per our compliance standards. MyCase makes it so easy to add notes and make sure all internal users are able to see and use the feature.
Nachteile
It can be quite expensive to have a lot of users added on the law firm side, but it does make up for it with unlimited client add-ons.

Every Paralegal Needs this Program
Love mycase. It is the easiest part of my job.
Vorteile
This helps me stay on top of my case load. Everything is one place and it is user friendly.

Some of the features like document automation seem great but the time it takes to implement is just not available to me.

Best Case Management Software Out There and I've Tried Almost All of Them
Best that's out there for sure. I've used at least 6 different Case Managment Systems in the past but this is by far the best.
Vorteile
The sheer amount of features. I have both billable and contingency fee cases and MyCase covers both. It also feels more polished than other CMS's other there. For some reason, the other CMS's I've used feel cheap and bare bones and you have to build everything up. MyCase gets you started quickly because it starts with a default template.

I wish it was a little bit more customizable.

Fantastic product with good support and additional offerings. The new features that keep getting added, only improve the experiance.

Mycase is easy to work with and loaded with features. It's a great platform for our uses.
Nachteile
There is no ability to pro-rate or divide invoices. In our situation that would be a benefit, as well as having multiple billing contacts on one invoice. I'm hoping it's something that may get worked out into the future.

Going on 10 years, still happy!
Overall I'm very happy, I've been with them since 2015 and I still find their pricing reasonable.
Vorteile
It's easy to use, new hires, interns can easily learn and adapt to the program. Also it's not over down with too many bells and whistles, it does what it needs to.

Sometimes they seem a bit slower than other programs to add new options or integrations.

It's been good. I tried another service and did not like it as much, so I switched back to MyCase.

The ease of MyCase.
Wonderful. It is my first experience with a law firm. This program, makes me look like I've been doing it a lot longer.
Vorteile
The program makes my job so easy. I can not forget to do tasks, because it is all right there. It helps create an active case log and we can make sure that we are staying on top of everything.
Nachteile
The billing is the only feature that I am not nuts about. However, I believe it is the operator that is lacking.

All encompassing platform that is user friendly and efficient, overall. Customer service is stellar - above and beyond expectations and always a quick response.
Nachteile
Pricing has been increased significantly in the last few years - I believe my monthly expense has nearly tripled.

I have been staggered by the ease of use, particularly over time, and the connectivity for our clients. It's simply outstanding.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT
Great! Love this system over all despite it being for attorneys I have managed quite easily to make it work for my business.
Vorteile
Everything! It is easy to use, customizable, keeps track of my time worked on each file per client, tasks allow me to stay on track. This system made it possible for me to take on more work and as such additional clients. Don't know what I would do without it.
Nachteile
I utilize this system from a different perspective as I am not an attorney. I am a self employed Claim Consultant - Virtual Assistant. My clients are Attorneys. If I want to see which cases are open with which client there is no easy way to do this on my end. I either need to go to my open cases (in which case I am unable to see per client) or go into Contact/People which I can scan all cases for each client but it lists all open and closed cases. I would like to be able to just see open cases per client.

MyCase is a great CRM, but has poor ethics
Very poor experience. MyCase does not have ethics to be honest in their dealings with their customers. That is why we left them and went to Clio. We have had no problems with Clio and have even started working with their product team on upcoming code changes to enhance Clio's functions.
Vorteile
MyCase was a great application. It is very user friendly. The invoices allow clients to easily see what their payment plan is, how many payments there are, and what the upcoming payments are.
Nachteile
My issue with MyCase is the Account Management. We left MyCase for Clio because the account manager lied. Our firm was divided and from one account, we created three. The account manager told us the price per account would be a certain amount. We agreed. The work was done to divide the cases and move the documents. Then she came back and said we couldn't have the price agreed on and it would be a different amount. We had proof of the amount and conversation. She admitted she lied, but said her manager wouldn't let us have that amount. With proof of the lie, they did not care. The ethics of MyCase caused us to leave them and go to Clio.

Functionality of MyCase
Over the years I don't have any major complaints. Just wish I didn't have to listen to videos to figure answers to some questions when time is of the essence.

Love the calendar reminders to client, intake forms and easy payment options available.
Nachteile
You have to hunt for the topics when you need supportive assistance. Integrations are not seamless re LawPay or Desktop MyCase. Previously attempts to install don't seem to "stick" therefore unable to fully edit documents in MyCase.

Hard to Use program
My experience was terrible and I felt I was left on my own to try to figure out this complicated system.

Simply stated, there is really nothing about the product I liked.

The billing does not always show what is in the trust account and when I asked a person to assist on the phone she claimed she was too busy to assist with all my questions so I felt I was on my own to figure it out.

Mycase review
It has helped my law practice run more smoothly. I am more organized. My clients use the document and communication features. They find it is easy.
Vorteile
It is easy to use, and affordable. I love the mobile app it is easy to use when scheduling court dates when in person for court.
Nachteile
MyCase defaults the calendar to Hawaii's time for Apple and Mac users. My clients who has Apple products say that the calendar shows the wrong time for events. They have to go into the system and default the calendar to Eastern standard time.

Overall a very good product
Overall, very positive. The calendar feature is essential in the business and it integrates well with other programs. The support staff has been very responsive to suggestions to make the product more user friendly.
Vorteile
The client portal make interacting with clients very easy and secure. Calendar works with our other programs automatically putting hearings and meetings in a appropriate times. We rely on it daily.
Nachteile
Repetitive data entry when working within a case makes the product somewhat tedious to use. When edits are made to the calendar, the client is notified even when it is simply removing a duplicate entry. Can be very confusing to clients.

Overall, 10/10. I haven't missed any billables or lost track of dates or deadlines since I started using it.

I've been utilizing MyCase for a decade now and it has become an indispensable tool for me in performing my job efficiently.

I really appreciate the feature in MyCase that allows me to create custom fields for both my case and contact information. It's also really helpful to be able to customize templates for creating documents.

I have used Amicus, Smokeball, Justware, and Cleo. Hands down this is my favorite software to run my business.
Nachteile
I would like the ability to enter bulk notes. I often have 5+ cases that need the same notation and it's time-consuming to have to enter each case.

I've used MyCase extensively and have discovered it to be a priceless tool for running my law firm. The platform provides a wide range of functions that have significantly simplified my day-to-day business operations. I like the document management features in especially since they make it simple for me to organize and retrieve client papers, court records, and other crucial materials. I've also relied heavily on the time-tracking and invoicing features to effectively manage my money and generate correct customer invoices. Vorteile
Ease of invoicing. The only advantage to the product from the billing and payments side of the practice
Nachteile
Impossible to drill down on any report below the level of their standard reports. Lack of any common sense in reporting functions with billing, payments, etc. Need to hire some accountants to make their reports usable.

Great Case Management for Legal Services Providers
Great customer service, always fast and helpful. Love the client portal and the ease of case management. It works really well for me providing legal services to multiple law firms and is the best for my use case after reviewing and trying about every other case management system out there. I would recommend MyCase to others based on ease of use and customer service alone. But it has so many pluses it's a no brainer for me.

I like the unlimited storage and ease of client communication. MyCase allows me to keep everything in one place, making case management and organization a simple and effective.
Nachteile
The email integration doesn't allow enough granular control to make it effective for my use. I liked the old system of forwarding emails to my case and then matching them to the matter. Hoping MyCase evolves the email integration to add more control to how it can be used.

Easy to use
It has been a good experience. My case has helped me to organize my practice and put in place systems to run my practice more efficiently. Creating invoices and billing clients is easier now.
Vorteile
I like how easy it is to use My Case. Its customer service is good and have been very helpful to me every time.
Nachteile
I would like to see an integration with Wealth Counsel because it is part of my practice and would save me time.

All Encompassing!
Honestly, without MyCase it would be impossible to run my office. I don't have employees perse, I have providers that I contract with, so I am the only one keeping track of everything. That is hard enough to do , let alone being ADHD! MyCase has really helped me manage the office and clients.
Vorteile
I like just about every function on MyCase. I love that they continually find other integrations and functions to make part of the system. Without it, I was a huge mess!! and poor! I am still learning how to use some of the functions, but each one has made the value of MyCase increase exponentially!
Nachteile
More of the alerts for the functions (ie receive message) need to be available for the phone app. I am not always at a computer and I need to get alert notifications when a message is sent to me.

I really didn't like Clio(had used at a former firm that i worked for) and certainly didn't like the price. As a solo practitioner, the cost is a very important factor.
