I love this fast efficient way to keep track of parent conferences .

I like the ability to create an electrionic sign up sheet for my parent/teacher conferences.
Nachteile
Some of the templates are only available with a basic account. Please consider providing the option of allowing a teacher account that would offer educational amenities within the signups.

Vorteile
The ease of navigating the website for fundraisers , meal trains and volunteer opportunities .
Nachteile
Sometimes it doesn’t update live time. So if two people are navigating the sign up , it won’t show right away that someone already signed up. However it’s not a huge deal, It’s still worth it .

Tool of choice!
Vorteile
This tool seems to be the tool of choice whenever someone is organizing an event where different team members are responsible for various items or in signing up volunteers to help out on-site for our live-conferences & events. Its easy to use and navigate. It captures all the right information.

Excellent for volunteer management
Vorteile
We use this for parents to sign up for various events at school. It is useful to make sure that all jobs are covered or that all items are brought for an event.
Nachteile
The interface is not always the most user-friendly. Some of the fields are confusing when signing up.

Easy to implement
SignUpGenius has allowed me to quickly generate events, that are accessible to multiple people. Simple to setup, and easy for users to sign up to events.

It is simple to register and setup events on SignUpGenius. The software allows users to quickly sign up for an event and for other users to see what is still available.
Nachteile
With the free version advertising is the only drawback. The lowest priced membership gives ad-free sign ups.

Sign Up Genius is really easy to use, organized, can be professional or casual, and versatile. It is also a name brand that people tend to recognize, so they will feel more comfortable using it.

Fantastic resource for busy teacher & coach trying to schedule volunteers
SignUpGenius is the go-to for teachers, coaches, PTA organizers, my daughter's gymnastics facility, etc. When I see a request to volunteer and it's via a SignUpGenius link, I'm much more likely to click on it and choose a timeframe to volunteer than to communicate back and forth with someone about when they need volunteers, if the time slot is already filled, etc.
Vorteile
Super easy to set up, anyone seems to be able to use it, can send one link directly out to a large group to recruit volunteers needed quickly.
Nachteile
I did not come across a need that I had to organize and schedule volunteers that this program did not meet.

Quick and Easy to Setup
Vorteile
SignUpGenius is fairly straight forward sign up website. I use it on a regular basis to create sign up pages for various classes that my company hosts. They have tons of themes and templates that you can use to customize your sign up page to fit your needs. It's comprehensive on set up as well as sign up for class attendees, the website doesn't ask for more information than name and email. They also do not require attendees to create an account to sign up which makes it easy for our company to use and keep track of class sign ups. The best part is that you can use the software for free so that's definitely a plus for me!
Nachteile
The interface isn't the easiest and most comprehensible to use on the set up side. The organization of older sign up pages is really messy and there doesn't seem to be an order to it. You would think that they'd be in order from newest to oldest, but it isn't. Plus, it doesn't seem to have an option to delete posts after so many years which would be nice. However, we use the free version of this software so considering that we aren't paying for this these are very small issues.

Hi there,
It may be helpful to know that you can manage how your created sign ups display in your account. Go to the far right of the created sign ups are, where you will notice a Gear icon. From that icon, a list of drop-down options will be available to you to show past sign ups or unpublished sign ups. You can also choose to show sign ups in ascending or descending order.
To delete a sign up you created, locate the sign up in your Created sign ups area.
Click the ellipsis icon (...) to the right of the sign up. You will see an option to delete the sign up. If you choose this option the next screen will confirm the deletion of your sign up.
I hope these tips help you manage your account better.

Sign Up Genius in the Classroom
Sending home forms to sign up for parent teacher conferences can be challenging. They get lost, sometimes they need to be translated, and sometimes people have already selected this time slot. Using sign up genius solves all of those problems. The link goes directly to the parents via email or Dojo. They can select the time slot that works best for their families, and once the time slot if full it does not show up anymore. I love that I can customize the design and make it school themed. I will not switch back to a paper version!
Vorteile
I love that I am able to schedule my conferences with parents digitally and without sending a sign-up form home that could be easily lost. It allows me to send a like to my parents, and then they can pick the time slot that works for them.
Nachteile
If it does not already exist on the parent side, I would love for it to send a reminder of their upcoming conference. Also, if I could mark the attendance slots of who showed up for their conferences.

SignUpGenius for Easy Parent Sign Ups
Overall, my experience with SignUpGenius has been positive. The end product that goes out to parents is easy to use and effective. You have to be willing to spend some extra time to create your sign up, but once you do, you can be confident that it will do the job well.
Vorteile
I use SignUpGenius for a number of activities as a teacher. I use it for assessment scheduling, party sign ups, field trip volunteers, conference scheduling, and a few other things. The best part about this software is that you can send a sign up out to parents/guardians via email, and they can sign up without bothering with any kind of official sign in or registering. They can even do it straight from their phone. I have found that by doing it this way, I get a lot more sign up activity. The actual sign up is easy to use. I have only had a few parents have trouble with it after using it for years.
Nachteile
The process of actually creating the sign up can be a bit confusing. There are many different tabs at the top that you have to navigate through. When using the software, I often have to go back and forth from the tabs to the "preview" button and see what the changes actually look like on the sign up form. The "preview" button is helpful and necessary to see what the final result will look like before sending it out. Ideally, the set up would be easier to navigate.

Handy digital signup tool
We use this program to create signups for appointments for intake meetings (student services) and for student workers to sign up for slots at campus events.
Vorteile
Unlike many group calendar/meeting apps, which involve everyone entering possible meetup times, this is for individuals to choose appointments or commit to work slots for events, etc. An administrator sets up the various tasks and puts in slots (it's possible to indicate how many people are needed for each time slot under each task). It autogenerates notifications for signups and sends reminders to each signee.
Nachteile
It was very tricky to figure out the easiest way to add time slots in bulk, and the difference between adding days and times and adding time slots.

So easy and useful!
I love that it is not only flexible but easy, and not just easy from a "I don't get confused on what I need to click" sort of way, but how it adapts what would normally often be an analog process (signing up for conferences, for party planning, for what to bring to a potluck, whatever) that would involve needing to be physically WITH a list or calendar, to one that is accessible. I am a working mom and the fact that I can not only plan my parent teacher conference in not even two minutes from a single email, but see what time slots are taken and which are free so I can have a backup plan if I need to reschedule, but there are also reminders. Time of day, distance, etc. is completely irrelevant and it makes life so much simpler. I think the concept is great and well executed.
Vorteile
My favorite thing about this software is the ease of use. There is no complicated, multi-step process to using it. Sometimes, tools used for organization for school events or social functions will involve a long process involving signing up and getting verification emails and having to dig around to find the original email so you can go back to the page and log back in... you know how it goes. But not so with SignUpGenius! It's so easy. Who are you? What are you doing? Submit your stuff, move on with your life. My daughter's teachers and class mom use this and it is fantastic.
Nachteile
I work in UX and I would say that the color scheme can be a bit tough on the eyes, but that is hardly an insurmountable problem.

Simple organizational tool to manage people & stuff!
We've started using sign up genius for almost all of our volunteer events, staff events and community collections/drives. It makes it so easy to know what still needs to be collected or staffed. I love that it automatically sends reminders to people about what commitments they have made so that I don't have to manually send those any longer. Generally, its very easy to use and super friendly for the end user.
Vorteile
I love how simple this is for an administrator but also the end user. I've never had anyone say they couldn't figure out how/what to do. I also appreciate that the users can alter their own sign ups for the items or people they are committing to an event. Plus being able to copy events or sign ups over from year to year makes the planning & implementation process quick.
Nachteile
I think that the ads and the limited themes are understandable but annoying. Also, there are some set up limitations that can make more complex events cumbersome to set up. Plus if you have to make changes once you go-live, it can be prohibitive.

Perfect for quick signup sheets
Vorteile
This is the tool my team uses for our monthly potluck lunch signup sheet, as well as other parties and activities. Once you have an account, it's easy to quickly RSVP for events, see the list of what items are requested, and add what items you plan to bring along with the quantity and notes. I can see how this would be useful for a number of other groups and functions.
Nachteile
The only thing that bugs you about this software is the large ads that take up about half the page. I guess that selling space to advertisers is how they are able to make the tool available to users for free, but I wonder if they could be a little less prominent. While it doesn't affect the usability of the tool, it makes the invitations somewhat unprofessional, so I doubt a business would want to use this for anything official.

Great way to sign up for donations and organize events
Overall it has been a great way to sign up and help out for nonprofits and volunteer events. I like how you can personalize the sign up specific to the event. It also sends out an automatic reminder so you can review what you signed up for

I like that this software includes a variety of options when signing up, specific to the event. For example, you can sign up for a specific day / time slot and food or other donation item. it also shows how many of each category are needed.

SignUpGenius is a must for any volunteer wrangler
Love it. I wish every organization would use it because not only does it capture volunteers, it reminds them they've volunteered and allows you to personalize the messaging and make it fun. Seriously good software for non profits.

The software isn't scary at all. It's really easy to use, set up, respond to, etc., and automatically includes methods to keep those who have signed up engaged in what they've signed up for.

Pretty good for big church events
Overall, SignUp Genius is awesome. It provides basic sign-up needs for big groups and small groups. We will continue using it and will recommend it to others.
Vorteile
One of the best features of SignUp Genius for churches and non-profits is it's price. Nothing beats it. It also is able to give you many slots to sign up with other people. It's perfect for getting big groups to sign up for certain slots.
Nachteile
It's not the smoothest software. It can be a little clunky and is not beautifully designed. With big groups, it's a little frustrating to scroll through many pages of signups to get to open slots. I wish there was a little more functionality with all of that. I wish there were more design options.

You get what you pay for
This product is great for faith and community groups and the like for organizing who should bring what to an event. It is not so helpful for more complex types of sign ups like organizing parent or student conferences.
Vorteile
This product is free! It works for simple sign up tasks like planning a potluck and other like events.
Nachteile
It fails when it comes to ease of use for more complex tasks like appointment sign ups. In this regard, it is difficult to automate the schedule for appointments every "X" minutes on certain days between certain times (for example to set up 15 minute appointments back to back on Mondays and Thursdays between 10am and 2pm). You can do that on this software, but it is time consuming and there are better software solutions.

So easy to use!
Overall things have been great. It's straightforward and easy to use and send the information back to me or I can login and look at hte responses. I like that people can change after they selected something so they can do that themselves and not have to contact me.
Vorteile
Allowing people to sign up to bring an item or take care of a specific task, sending reminders in the program about the items they have signed up for and allowing people to go back and see what they've signed up for. All of these things coupled with the fact that it's so easy to use, make this amazing!
Nachteile
It can be a little confusing at first for recipients to figure out how to look at what they have signed up for, but once they figure it out it's not an issue the next time. It's also a bit "busy" on screen, could use a cleaner design.

Overall good and easy
We use it often with our organization and its user friendly to sign up for dates and times that you like with no problems at all.

We receive an email when there are new events to volunteer for and its so easy to look at the dates and times available to sign up for what you want.

The spam emails I get are more often than I would like promoting the product we already use.

Essential for Businesses

A Lifesaver For Scheduling Events, Shifts, or Work Assignments
SignUpGenius is a phenomenal tool with countless uses. The free version is excellent in and of itself but the premium version offers great options and is very affordable too.

I have been using SignupGenius for years and it is an absolutely invaluable resource. We have used this tool for a variety of features with our staff - everything from schedule student employees for desk and duty shifts to having employees self-select a potluck dish for a staff holiday event. We also use it for student-facing events and services such as interviews and appointment based services.
Nachteile
It can take a little while to become familiar with the layout and format of the signup builder. The system gives you multiple ways to build your form, which can result in some inefficiencies or confusion until you really get to understand all the different features available to you.

Multiple pages for different signups would be easier with a table of contents that could be linked to the specific item

Great for Organizing Appointments
This is great for delegating each person to select the option they want.
Vorteile
SignUpGenius is an easy way to create a user-friendly experience for multiple people to self select an option. It takes the hassle out of one person having to contact and organize multiple individual's availability.
Nachteile
For more intricate sign ups, it can be a bit laborious to get the form set up, but it's definitely worth it for the end result.

Easy, free, convenient.
Overall, this has been a helpful tool that provided a simple solution to a business problem at no cost.

This tool is free and helps our company a lot. We often need volunteers for things like photoshoots, etc. and it helps us to easily find participants online.
Nachteile
You can't do much besides create a sign up sheet, send it out and receive results. I wish there was a way to easily set up customized reporting.

Sign up genius is great for a class party
This is great for having parents sign up for items for a class party. I have also used this for parent teacher conferences and I have had many parents participate in signing up.
Vorteile
The ease of use, and easy set up of what I needed. I loved the feature of sending me an email once a parent signed up for an item.
Nachteile
The email input features. Having to input each email was a struggle. Also having to start a new sign up can sometimes be taxing.

Setting up meetings
Making appointments through this software has been great. I will continue using this product regularly.

When sending out mass invites to set up meetings to students at the university, signup genius works great to keep everything organized.
Nachteile
After using this software for a long time, I have got the hang of it and often just duplicate my signups I have created in the past. But when I began, the templates were impossible to make, and took me many tries to get it right.

Great! We really use this software quite a bit in our school!

Event Planning Made Easy
I absolutely love this website! It has saved me a ton of time and taken out the stress from event planning. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Vorteile
SignUpGenius makes party planning, fundraising, and volunteer work easy- stress free- and effortless. The administrator can create sign up sheets for events in a matter of minutes, send out the invite (sign up sheet) via email, and watch as events staff themselves. Best of all, participants are sent automated reminders- this way they don’t forget about the event and commitment they made.
Nachteile
I have used this website for the past year & a half and have not encountered any issues yet. At first it was a little confusing to navigate and create an event, however, with a little practice- anyone can become a pro at scheduling events.

Easy sign ups for in-office appointments/meetings

My office uses SignUpGenius to coordinate in-office chiropractor sign ups. It's really easy to see which time slots are taken or available, and sign up accordingly.
Nachteile
I wish the mobile app was more user friendly. There was a big push in our office to download the mobile app to make signing up easier, but the interface was very difficult to navigate.

SignUpGenius: The Best Way to Organize your Client Meetings
I was asked to use SignUpGenius for parent/teacher conferences during Covid 19 at home learning and teaching. It really made the process easy for me. Even when I am back at the building in person I will be using this platform for all my scheduling needs.
Vorteile
As a teacher, organizing meetings with parents is always difficult. There are phone calls, emails, and multiple missed communications. It can be very frustrating! With SignUpGenius I am able to send out a simple link that parents can immediately use to sign up from any sort of device. It keeps track of the RSVP's and keeps me in the loop.
Nachteile
It can be a little difficult at first to navigate and learn, but it isn't too hard. I found the most frustrating part was that as an admin, I was unable to edit and move around appointments. That seemed like it should have been automatic for me to be able to put people in time slots myself.

It is very to sign up for and create an event. You can manage your events and cancel any through your online account.
Nachteile
I find it difficult to keep track of upcoming events because the calendar invites SignUpGenius sends cannot be added to Outlook Calendar.

I'll be happy to help you add an item that you sign up for to your calendar program. There are a couple of options available for you.
1. After you complete your sign up process, the ¿Thank You¿ page that appears has icons to add the item to your Google Cal, iCal, or Outlook.
2. If you created an account with us, you can go to SignUpGenius.com and log in. On your account page, click the Invited To tab and locate the items you have signed up for. To the right of your sign ups, you¿ll see calendar icon. When you select this option, you can add the item to your calendar.
3. In the confirmation email, you receive automatically when you sign up, you will note a .ics file included in the email.

My group of friends and family use SignUpGenius when organizing a group event whether it be taking food to a family who just had a baby or planning a group dinner.
Vorteile
I love how easy this sofware makes it to allow people to sign up and volunteer. It takes a lot of the pressure off of the person who is organizing the event as it puts the responsibility on the volunteer. Love it.
Nachteile
It's a little clunky and the interface isn't the most gorgeous but it's extremely functional and does exactly what it claims to do.

Programs, Potlucks, & Volunteers
We use Sign-up Genius software when we need to staff programs on campus. We have also enjoyed using it for help in organizing a potluck or holiday party. It is great way for people to sign up for their interest virtually and allows everyone to communicate about an event without being present.

Great way to plan an event and make sure it is staffed in full. Allows people to participate in a time and manner they feel works best for them.
Nachteile
When creating a sign-up we have found that some of the features are require you to pay for them. Not all features are included.

My overall experience with SignUpGenius has been good. I will continue to use it when I am needing to organize any kind of volunteering or appointment scheduling.
Vorteile
SignUpGenius is a great software to use when you are needing to contact multiple volunteers for a specific event or need. I have used SignUpGenius for classroom party sign-ups to bring in treats. I have also used it for parent teacher sign-ups. I use the free version because it has everything I need. There are over 400 different themes available to choose from depending on the purpose of the SignUp. I also like the ease in using SignUpGenius and the ability to receive email notifications when someone has signed up.
Nachteile
I do not have any cons with using SignUpGenius. The only thing I could say is that there are so many different themes to choose from that sometimes it takes me way too long to choose one:)
