Vorteile
I like that it organizes courses in a very neat way, the website is easy to navigate and looks great visually. The calendar is very helpful.
Nachteile
It's not very easy to use for teachers. They often have a hard time understanding all of the features Blackboard provides.

The best feature we liked about Blackboard Learn was the 30 day free trial. Since we are a small organization operating on a minimal budget, the trial period gave us the opportunity to use the platform and make our decision for the future.
Nachteile
While Blackboard learn supports many languages, it unfortunately didn't have the Tibetan language required for our organization.

Your new classroom (digital)
The experience that Blackboard gives you is satisfactory since several other platforms, its management system between courses, and the power to upload files or open documents that teachers upload to their respective courses, are not as easy to do as in blackboard, since the software is very friendly for students like us and makes it not cost us work in performing all its functions that it gives us.
Vorteile
Being still a student, I love the ease with which I can move within the interface and change courses because if you have several subjects, you can easily locate them and see the content very easily. Inside the software, you can see practically everything as if it were a classroom since you can hold virtual meetings, see your content/tasks to do, see your final grades, take your final exams, etc. It is a platform that stands out for its excellence in education since the page rarely crashes or presents some difficulties.
Nachteile
It may be difficult at first to navigate through the different menus/pages/courses because the platform does not give us that simply look the first time we see it, as unlike its competitors in the market, this one has a slightly less friendly view. But it is rescued if for example our school/university gives us within Blackboard a small tutorial on the essentials you should know about this software.
But honestly, I do not see many cons to Blackboard because it is a platform that gives us what we are looking for and that is why it is one of the top e-learning software.

Considering the price point and many good features, this is still a good platform to manage online courses. There are just some features that need innovation.

The ease of use is a very great feature of this software. Adding and managing online courses and lessons is a breeze. The import/export function of the test maker built in the software is also a plus.

The interface feels a little bit outdated as compared to other LMS.

Utilice Blackboard learn para la realizacion de cursos online de formacion con nuestros alumnos, desde el minuto cero nos parecio un sofwtare muy intuitivo y facil de usar.A los estudiantes les ha encantado la funcionalidad de trabajos grupales, asi como la interaccion directa con otros estudiantes. Recomiendo Blackboard learn al cien por cien, aunque es un poco costoso, merece la pena adquirila.

Muy facil de utilizar y muy intuitiva. Lo que mas me ha gustado es que los alumnos una vez realizada la tarea obtienen el resultado de forma automatica. Su biblioteca de contenido es muy amplia, nos permite subir toda clase de documentos, hasta contenido multimedia, por lo cual eso a los alumnos les parece muy atractivo para que lo estudien de mejor forma.
Nachteile
Hay herramientas de caracteristicas similiares y son gratuitas, con lo cual puede resultar un poco costoso.Tambien hemos echado en falta mas opciones de personalizacion. Algunos clientes han reportado problemas al acceder desde telefono movil.

Great LMS for school or uni
Vorteile
Blackboard is reliable and easy to use LMS, requiring little to no direction or training for new users. Communication and notifications are great, found all in one place for easy access and viewing. Gradebook is another fantastic feature. All the information about your assessments can be found in one place, including submission dates, marking criteria and overall grades. Submission process is great, allowing users to thoroughly review their documents and their similarity report before submission.
Nachteile
UI could be updated to be more user-friendly, e.g., minimise clicks, add more shortcuts for site navigation. Features to allow for collaboration in group projects/tasks would be useful as many users prefer external software for collaboration, communication between students and instructors and productivity. However, it is perfectly adequate for users familiar with the LMS.

Powerful but confusing.
I've been using Blackboard since the University and up until know I've tried other platforms that are easy to use. However Blackboard has so much potential and can be a good platform.
Vorteile
If you know how to use it, you can do so much, for programmers there is ton of choice, and for what I know that is a good thing because it can be personalized for the company or schol that wants to use it. Mobilie use is also pretty great.
Nachteile
Many bugs, this essentially is not Blackboard fault but is their platform, they should add more support tools for programmers. Also I don't like so many optiones to mange a course, is confusing for teachers and learners.

Blackboard Learn makes online learning easy.
Overall using Blackboard has been a good experience and I would certainly use it again in a learning environment.
Vorteile
Best part of this software it that it make online learning available anywhere. It is easy to navigate throughout the program and see what assignments and lessons you have due. The program lays out the information in an organized way. Once you learn the system it is easy to navigate to what you need, ie communicate with the professor etc.
Nachteile
The hardest part about Blackboard learn is navigating the UI. At first is can be confusing where things are located within the software. However, with that said once you learn it it is usable.

What I most appreciated about this software is that I could take a test and get my grade for it the same time I finished it, unless it was an essay format.
Nachteile
It seemed to me that this software was tricky to navigate. Not too easy on the eyes when I used it. There was a lot going on with it and it wasn't always intuitive. It seemed busy and tricky to navigate with a fair amount of down time for maintenance in the middle of the night. Which, is when college kids get their work done . . . .

Complicated but Helpful
The layout is more complex, and has a great many details missing from other platforms, but it is less streamlined for it. Helpful once you know what you are doing.

This software has little details on the student side that is missing from other learning platforms, like specialized involvement for presenting or using collaborative videos/meetings. It gives the students more freedoms and ways to ask questions without leaving the teacher unable to see or change needed items.
Nachteile
It was difficult to learn once you open the program, and there is not a tutorial or walkthrough for the overall site. You have to explore on your own, and it can be tough.

Probably the Best Option for Universities and Their Professors

Blackboard provided me, as an adjunct English professor, the ability to input and track grades, create and post rubrics, post class materials, PowerPoint and more. It accomplished virtually everything I needed to accomplish.

Posting grades could have been more seamless . The email feature also could have been more user-friendly.

A Gold Standard
Vorteile
I utilized this software on a user-end point while in college in the mid 2010s. My wife is using it now as a student in the late 2010s. Blackboard Learn opens a doorway into the world of academia like no other platform I have ever experienced. With it, you can enter a virtual learning center with as robust a set of resources as any prestigious university in the country. Blackboard Learn is an essential tool for creating an online environment where students can really learn akin to the classroom. I highly recommend it - both for professionals looking to impart their knowledge to a wider, more varied audience, and for scholars looking to broaden their horizons with academic leaders across all fields.
Nachteile
Very few cons about this platform except that, akin to Microsoft Excel, a lot of the features seem both difficult to find or too complex to effectively utilize. The user manual will likely be your closest ally with this software.

Best College software!
Overall I would say that compared to other online education softwares, I was more satisfied using BlackBoard Learn.
Vorteile
I very much enjoyed using blackboard learn while in my undergraduate courses. The navigation system is hard to get used to but the layout is designed well.
Nachteile
I would say that the thing I liked the least about this software were the occasional offline maintenance updates.

I really enjoyed using blackboard during school, I liked how the meetings were integrated within the same app. I loved being able to access many things in the same app.

Future of Communication
Vorteile
I love that the professors and students can stay in communication on one site. Projects and expectations are very clear, all documents needed were available at all times, and this made college more enjoyable feeling so connected to the staff.
Nachteile
Maybe a better updated app for my phone would've been nice. Also text alerts would have been much appreciated.

High School & University Use
Blackboard made my summer online classes manageable, and allowed me to graduate at my desired time. Blackboard is great for people like me who worked 2 jobs while going to school full-time.
Vorteile
Notifications of my grades and assignments right as they're posted. Much easier to find out how you're currently doing in the class as opposed to bugging a professor.
Nachteile
While it was required of me as a student, not every professor was required to fully use Blackboard. So when my teachers regularly updated the course page, it was great, but not every professor uses it like they should. Not Bb's fault I suppose, it's just that classes who require a Bb subscription should have full functionality every time.

Daily Use!
Vorteile
I used CivicTrack all thru my education. It was simple to use and kept all of my course work and information in one place. Loved it!
Nachteile
Some professors wouldn't use it properly/avidly (i.e. change of due date on an assignment). It would glitch rarely.

A software continually behind the times.
If you are looking for this kind of system, I would suggest Canvas. It is was better. Easier to navigate, easier to customize, and works on every type of device.
Vorteile
I have used this for a total of 4 years. 1 year at my old position and 3 years at my current. Eventually you just get used to it. It has all of the basic tools to communicate, set up unique folders, in depth permissions, etc.
Nachteile
It is old and dated to work around. It still has issues working on Mac vs PC on random files. Videos often start playing on there own... or they don't play at all. It seems like any system update destroys all of your link you put on it.

Blackboard Gives Your Classes A Consistant and Fimilar Setting
Vorteile
Blackboard has been the go to choice of the school for the online courses I have been taking for the past two years. It has some nice features including; calendars, a notification center, discussion boards, and it's own quiz and tear platforms. It gives the student a familiarity when taking multiple online courses when it is the online tool for your school. Plus it shows all your grades for a course in one place. It also works across several platforms including mac, PC and Android.
Nachteile
It has a learning curve. When you first enter blackboard it can seem hard to navigate and seem overwhelming for both student and teacher. The options for customization for teachers are somewhat limited.

Just OK, I would pass it up
Having used Blackboard extensively, I can say that it is an unnecessarily bloated software. It is replete with links and features that you don't want and will never need.
That's not to say it's bad. It can do everything you need it to. It's just not very pretty while it's doing them.
It's also prone to blackouts on a monthly-ish basis.

Once a student, now a teacher
Vorteile
Blackboard Learn is an excellent, feature rich, web based environment where you really feel like you might be in a virtual university. The interface is intuitive and doesn't distract from the core purpose of the site, which is to learn. They consistently add new features to make the lives of students and teachers easier and more productive. I started using blackboard as a student learning and graduated to using it to teach when I realized how groundbreaking it really was.
Nachteile
Like I said, they are consistently adding new features, but, sometimes, this can actually be to the interface's detriment. It gets confusing if you haven't used the software in a few months and you come back to a overload of new modules, buttons, and features.

Better but not great
Vorteile
I have used this software for several years. The recent new release is quite a lot better than the pervious version. The current version is much easier to use.
Nachteile
Although this a good upgrade, it seems as though the product had not been upgraded in quite a while. It still needs a better user interface.

Good not great honestly!
Vorteile
Platform to use for students and teachers to follow course and class modules throughout the semester. It's an organized method to do assignments, class discussions, notifications, etc.
Nachteile
I wasn't a fan of the features it had. I'm fairly good with computers and everytime I had to sit down with Blackboard Learn it honestly was a pain. I had to try and figure out how everything worked cause it's not very user friendly.

Ok Product
It's ok. It can do it's job, but only so-so. I would not completely recommend this product.
Vorteile
It's fairly easy to navigate around course shells. Although it's a few clicks, you can normally find the course menu fairly easy.
Nachteile
I feel like this is an older system. It's not modern looking and it's not always easy finding what you need to find.

Nice product for schools

I took many classes using Blackboard. It is good for schools and universities, you can contact the teacher, see grades, take assignments and quizzes, videos, among others. Complete software for learning.
Nachteile
Sometimes using the software it could be a little bit slow, and you need a nice Internet connection.

Great for Training
Vorteile
We started using Blackboard about six months again and has been a great way to transition our team for structured training. They are able to log in on their own and attend a training module without me having to watch over them. Tracks everything perfectly also.
Nachteile
I didn’t find anything that I really did not like.
