I'm a Clio Lover
It is the lifeblood of my practice. ClioCon and the community of users is unrivaled in the legal industry as a source of information and forward thinking.
Vorteile
I love having everything in one place - not a bunch of extra integrations or connecting apps needed. I also love that Clio is constantly making improvements and listens to its users.
Nachteile
The need to sync back and forth between Grow and Manage and the appt booking does not constistently stay up to date with my calendar.

Clio—good but not great.
Overall, I like clio but needs too many expensive integrations to do everything I need.

Clio develops the WIP budget in my company
Clio is designed for freelance professionals and small businesses. It handles a small portion of complicated cases and handles date management and payment. I think it would be outstanding in a massive class. Clio has more features and seems to be working on constantly improving. I recommended some suggestions for work that I thought would be helpful. Those suggestions went into a black hole, with the insinuation that I would attempt a confluence application of various bugs. Clio is getting quite a bit of money because of the legal experts who use their program.
Vorteile
All I need to do is turn on Clio in the morning and press the button to start the timing if I feel lazy to casually type a few words. It is possible to see how far behind or ahead of budget I am in terms of jobs, payments and invoicing. There is some repetition (database skills), and he has another colleague to manage the data for him when he is on vacation and doesn't have Clio, but these are minor quibbles.
Nachteile
This feature is likely to be useful in many people's practices, but I don't use it. Clio must find a way to accommodate all the documents that have a certain name that I can access through Clio. On the contrary, I use Hazel and Dropbox.

Improving the Management of my Office
Since implementing it, I have noticed a significant improvement in the efficiency and organization of my work. The ability to track time and handle billing intuitively has greatly simplified my daily routine, freeing me from many tedious administrative tasks.
Vorteile
What I liked most about this software that I use to manage my office is its ability to save time. The time tracking and billing tools are incredibly intuitive, allowing me to focus more on my cases and less on administration. Plus, the fact that it's cloud-based means I can access my files and data from anywhere, which is extremely convenient.
Nachteile
What I liked least is that, initially, it can be a little overwhelming to learn how to use all its functions. At first, it took me a little while to adapt to the interface and understand how to get the most out of all the tools available.

My overall experience with Clio has been quite positive. As an attorney, I find its comprehensive feature set invaluable for managing my caseload and streamlining my day-to-day operations. Poor Customer Assistance and Service
Vorteile
Billing and Invoice integration is good once you get used to it.
Nachteile
Clio has poor representatives that can not communication effectively. Furthermore, supervisors are out of reach and make it impossible to address any concerns you have. I would not recommend this service.

A great billing software for my increasingly virtual legal practice
Good software! I find it an indispensable part of my practice these days.
Vorteile
Our firm had used Timeslips for timekeeping and billing in the past before switching to Clio a few years ago. Timeslips was simply outdated and cumbersome, not to mention that we had no tech support. After having switched to using Clio, I was able to use the software to email clients directly and have the emails come from our firm email account via Clio without always having to involve the office manager for billing my invoices. If the clients have questions, they will know to direct their questions to the office manager, who is otherwise in charge of general accounting matters. Additionally, I love that I can always reach out to Clio's tech support for answers as to user issues or questions, and the services have always been pretty prompt and spot-on.
Nachteile
I remember there were some data migration issues when we transitioned from Timeslips to Clio. It has been a while, but I recall that at least some of the client data like their addresses didn't look quite right when it was pulled over, and I basically had to start over with entering the information in Clio.

Clio is great for a small firm work flow
Overall it is a great program that is adaptable to your own needs. it is small enough to not be overwhelimgin with useless checklists and to do items.

Clio is a very adaptable program that we are able to mold to our firms unique style. we are able to track emails, client notes, client documents, calendar events, court pleadings and work flow. we are a small firm and this program allows us to work efficiently without huge overhead.
Nachteile
The cloud based service takes some adjusting to but once you get it incorporated into your daily actions it is very nice to have all your files a smart phone away. the program is not as intuitive for an older practinoner like me but the younger staff members are good. Clio is always wanting you to come to a seminar or program which is annoying. I like the program, doesn't mean I want to travel all over to hear others talk about the program.

Improve your productivity with Clio
I only recently discovered Clio. Before that, I was doing my tasks in a traditional way which also consumed a lot of time and money. I am sure that Clio will greatly improve my productivity and financial performance. I'm sorry I didn't find out before.

Time and cost! This is the most important thing on which business is based, so if you perform your work at the lowest cost and in the least possible time, then you are on the right path. What I like about Clio is that it can save me a lot and a lot of time that I used to deal with a lot of data and often messy as well as saving a lot Of the costs I would have incurred if I dealt with this data traditionally
Clio is an automated secretary that can do everything, manage your communications, your money, your data, and even provide you with reports on your professional and financial performance at different intervals, and this is really excellent and very comprehensive
It provides excellent solutions that allow you to run your business from anywhere at any time, this is the future of business!
Nachteile
Despite all the positive aspects that Clio offers, I think that the Clio team can provide a better experience for the customer by improving the user interface and making it less complicated. Without the need to spend more time learning to use the application
In addition, I advise the Clio team to invest more in the use of artificial intelligence in tasks that can be performed with voice commands, which will facilitate things a lot in the future and make the application a pioneer in its field for many years.

Clio for Clinics
Clio really propelled our organization into the 21st century by allowing us to digitize and automate most of our files and processes.
Vorteile
We like how organized it keeps us and allows us to access cases from anywhere. Being able to be mobile is super important as we meet with clients in and out of the office.
Nachteile
Trainings on how to use Clio to it's full potential are hard to come by. We've asked for training materials for new hires and I don't think we've ever received the help we were looking for. Thankfully the platform is pretty easy to use so we don't always need an in-depth tutorial.

Clio - One LESS Thing To Stress About
Overall, it has been very helpful to be organized and up to speed with all of the court documents. Legal situations can be very stressful, and Clio helps reduce stress by helping me stay up to date and organized!
Vorteile
This software has been so helpful in organizing legal documents and keeping me up to date with the documents that are being submitted to the court. I get an email when something new is uploaded so I never miss anything!
Nachteile
The documents do not upload the day they are submitted to the court - but I'm not sure that's a Clio issue. Not sure why there is a delay. The invoicing can be a bit confusing sometimes, but is manageable.

Fairly straightforward to use but missing some features
It's a good product, but I don't always feel confident that it is giving me good data when I download reports.
Vorteile
Very easy get up and running and offers all of the tools a small law firm might need to get started. Easy client and matter set-up.
Nachteile
Although it comes with a set of common and useful pre-formatted report, it would be nice if it were possible to create custom reports from within the software. Instead, I find myself downloading data into an Excel spreadsheet and working with it from the download. Sometimes the downloaded data is incorrect. I have downloaded Trust Ledger Reports, for example, that show November transactions in the month of December. So not always comfortable that the data is correct.

Very solid all-in-one product for law firm management.
Cost-effective practice management / integrated payment capabilities.
Vorteile
It is nice to be able to handle billing, basic accounting, document management tasks in one place. It is great to be able to easily see what invoices haven't been paid, etc. on the dashboard.
Nachteile
I would like to be able to enter time entries in batches, across multiple matters. I would like the option for the software to be either client-based OR matter-based. And I absolutely, 100% dislike the fact that the payments function prompts only for the "new" charges on any invoice rather than the full balance due. (Meaning that past-due balances remain unpaid until the client backtracks to the original invoice.)

Great Law Practice Management Software
Vorteile
Clio has a very simple and user-friendly design that is easy for lawyers and marketers to analyze data as well as manage cases, revenue, etc. We had been looking for software like this for a while, and really found our match with Clio. Support also seems to be very helpful whenever we have questions that need to be addressed.
Nachteile
We have been having issues with the data portion of Clio not being accurate. It seems like it will be a simple fix, however; we are currently still using all of our other analytics software for true data analysis purposes until this issue is resolved.

Billing Made Simple
I have had a very positive experience filled with customer services assistance that is top of the line.

I have always hated doing client billing, but Clio makes it simple. From easy to access client files to a billing entry that leaves no questions, Clio keeps our billing on track.

Clio is fantastic. I have no real complaints.

Ease Of Use, Even For A Luddite
Vorteile
Seven years ago I went solo after some 26 years in big firms where all I had to do was time entry. This software allowed me to handle my own time tracking and billing. It was easy to learn and provided accurate books and billing. While I had never had to handle my own accounting previously, the program was very intuitive. And when I did have questions, customer support was right at hand. I will admit that there are many of the features of the program that I have never used. I assume that they are equally as effective and useful as the billing/accounting features have proved to be for me.

A new world for me
I have been getting paid!
Vorteile
After decades of always relying upon others to handle the tech part of time keeping and billing, I was suddenly thrown into a solo practice. For about 6 months or more, I have been using Clio. After research, it was my first choice, and so far a very good choice. The interface and the product all look professional. I am glad to say that every invoice generated to date has been promptly paid and no entries have been questioned.
Nachteile
I am presently trying to figure out UTBMS which a client has insisted I use, compelling me to upgrade to get the feature. Not there yet.
When inputting many time entries on a matter at once, I wish the date entry did not constantly default back to the current date for each and every entry. I don't do it daily.

It's rare to have a program that has no deficits!
We are able to do our billing in less than half the time that it used to take. The dashboard is a wonderful window into where work is for each client, as well as what their billed status is.
Vorteile
Very little training at all is needed to use Clio. Even attorneys in our firm who didn't want to change systems are appreciating the timekeeping functions. As bookkeeper, I love the ease of looking at a list of all unpaid invoices. The chat support is awesome -- you know where you are in the queue and you are speaking to someone who really knows the software.
Nachteile
I really can't find anything to fault Clio with! The program delivers what it promises!

Clio is the Apple of Legal Software
I absolutely love Clio - their design is great, the interface is user friendly, and they are extremely responsive and open to our feedback! This was the first software I tried when I started growing my practice and have never thought twice about looking elsewhere!

Vorteile
This is an excellent product for a small firm. The startup and use of the software has been very easy, and other than entering payments, my paralegal uses it without any difficulty. I keep track of time and expenses, escrow accounts and billing. I can also use it easily to track my own and my paralegal's productivity.

Great Application
Overall, Clio is a wonderful application that has made my job far easier by allowing me to simply input data in order to generate legal documents as well as create and schedule matters.

It makes creating legal documents and maintaining calendars so much easier.

It would be great if there was a way to create a chart that shows peak activity throughout the year based on matters and the dates they occur.

Very positive. Easy to work with. Growing amount of functions.
Huge time saver. Once you enter data and create your templates, you fly through drafting easily.
Vorteile
I like the communication it has with other programs like Office 365. Being a former Word Perfect and Timeslips user, I was hesitant to change programs. While the concept of document creation is very different, once you put the information in once, it populates any form you create. Impressive and a time saver.
Nachteile
I am still not a fan of Word as the document quality with Word Perfect is much better. But sometimes you have to make a trade. I am pleased I decided to make this one. And really, this is more of a Word issue than a Clio issue. Clio talks to Word well.

Great for Law Practice
I use Clio for billing; I have not found it useful for other applications.

User-friendly and Great Customer Service
Customer service is very responsive!
Vorteile
I consider myself a paper person. I use a paper calendar and I write everything down. But this software is very easy to use. When first using the software, I just used a few elements I needed --timekeeping, mostly. As time has gone on, I've used it for conflict checks, saving documents, and notekeeping. Anytime I've wanted to use a feature new to me, customer service is fantastic and walks me through it.
Nachteile
I have not found anything I didn't like. I just need to utilize more elements.

I <3 Clio so much
I signed up to Clio years ago and haven't looked back since. The simplest way to describe the cloud based company is that they just "get it." Quick billing? Check. Awesome customer support? Check. They really have what I need as a solo attorney (and nothing more, which is just as important).

The ease of use. I can jump in, create a contact and a matter and be on my way
Nachteile
I've told Josh and Jack like 100000 times that they should buy Lexicata. You guys need a front facing design for clients with auto emails and e-signature

Billing Made Simple
Excellent
Vorteile
As a family law practitioner, I not only dreaded monthly billing, I was losing money. When I started using Clio for billing changes my billing practice entirely. Not only does it take a fraction of the time, I capture my time more efficiently. Plus the customer service chat button is awesome.

Clio is easy to use
I use Clio with several attorneys. It provides the mobility and flexibility that each one needs. Easy access to their information wherever they need it.
Vorteile
Ease of use, mobility, and customer service.
Nachteile
Need security levels. Some employees need to view the billing information but do not need to add/change it. Same with account balances. Need to have different levels for better across the board usage.

I know it's best for the reminder but it keep buzzing, the reminder again and again , either turn it off or marks it done!

Clio is terrible - STAY AWAY
Made representations that were completely untrue and exaggerated. Support was useless and generally terrible, if available at all.

Nothing and responses to issues and problems were non-existant, at best.
Nachteile
Everything; particularly the misr epresentations made to me and the total lack of support and service thereafter.

Most suitable tool for billing and invoicing and offers a list of features such as quick billing and faster processing.
Nachteile
Sharing receipts over email is a time consuming process and does not work effectively with respect to that functionality
