I'm a Clio Lover
It is the lifeblood of my practice. ClioCon and the community of users is unrivaled in the legal industry as a source of information and forward thinking.
Vorteile
I love having everything in one place - not a bunch of extra integrations or connecting apps needed. I also love that Clio is constantly making improvements and listens to its users.
Nachteile
The need to sync back and forth between Grow and Manage and the appt booking does not constistently stay up to date with my calendar.

Poor Customer Assistance and Service
Vorteile
Billing and Invoice integration is good once you get used to it.
Nachteile
Clio has poor representatives that can not communication effectively. Furthermore, supervisors are out of reach and make it impossible to address any concerns you have. I would not recommend this service.

A great billing software for my increasingly virtual legal practice
Good software! I find it an indispensable part of my practice these days.
Vorteile
Our firm had used Timeslips for timekeeping and billing in the past before switching to Clio a few years ago. Timeslips was simply outdated and cumbersome, not to mention that we had no tech support. After having switched to using Clio, I was able to use the software to email clients directly and have the emails come from our firm email account via Clio without always having to involve the office manager for billing my invoices. If the clients have questions, they will know to direct their questions to the office manager, who is otherwise in charge of general accounting matters. Additionally, I love that I can always reach out to Clio's tech support for answers as to user issues or questions, and the services have always been pretty prompt and spot-on.
Nachteile
I remember there were some data migration issues when we transitioned from Timeslips to Clio. It has been a while, but I recall that at least some of the client data like their addresses didn't look quite right when it was pulled over, and I basically had to start over with entering the information in Clio.

Clio just keeps getting better and better but their Support is the best. Ever !

The new Clio payment Platform has some kinks but am sure they will get it smoother and better report generation.

Clio works
Clio is fantastic. I have no real complaints.
Vorteile
Clio works the way it's supposed to and makes automating tedious tasks simple.
Nachteile
There's been two instances of Clio's support system failing. One involved receiving messages intended for other recipients. The other involved a billing problem and lack of communication to users that the billing system broke temporarily.

Ease Of Use, Even For A Luddite
Vorteile
Seven years ago I went solo after some 26 years in big firms where all I had to do was time entry. This software allowed me to handle my own time tracking and billing. It was easy to learn and provided accurate books and billing. While I had never had to handle my own accounting previously, the program was very intuitive. And when I did have questions, customer support was right at hand. I will admit that there are many of the features of the program that I have never used. I assume that they are equally as effective and useful as the billing/accounting features have proved to be for me.

A new world for me
I have been getting paid!
Vorteile
After decades of always relying upon others to handle the tech part of time keeping and billing, I was suddenly thrown into a solo practice. For about 6 months or more, I have been using Clio. After research, it was my first choice, and so far a very good choice. The interface and the product all look professional. I am glad to say that every invoice generated to date has been promptly paid and no entries have been questioned.
Nachteile
I am presently trying to figure out UTBMS which a client has insisted I use, compelling me to upgrade to get the feature. Not there yet.
When inputting many time entries on a matter at once, I wish the date entry did not constantly default back to the current date for each and every entry. I don't do it daily.

It's rare to have a program that has no deficits!
We are able to do our billing in less than half the time that it used to take. The dashboard is a wonderful window into where work is for each client, as well as what their billed status is.
Vorteile
Very little training at all is needed to use Clio. Even attorneys in our firm who didn't want to change systems are appreciating the timekeeping functions. As bookkeeper, I love the ease of looking at a list of all unpaid invoices. The chat support is awesome -- you know where you are in the queue and you are speaking to someone who really knows the software.

I really can't find anything to fault Clio with! The program delivers what it promises!

Clio is the Apple of Legal Software
I absolutely love Clio - their design is great, the interface is user friendly, and they are extremely responsive and open to our feedback! This was the first software I tried when I started growing my practice and have never thought twice about looking elsewhere!

Vorteile
This is an excellent product for a small firm. The startup and use of the software has been very easy, and other than entering payments, my paralegal uses it without any difficulty. I keep track of time and expenses, escrow accounts and billing. I can also use it easily to track my own and my paralegal's productivity.

Very positive. Easy to work with. Growing amount of functions.
Huge time saver. Once you enter data and create your templates, you fly through drafting easily.
Vorteile
I like the communication it has with other programs like Office 365. Being a former Word Perfect and Timeslips user, I was hesitant to change programs. While the concept of document creation is very different, once you put the information in once, it populates any form you create. Impressive and a time saver.
Nachteile
I am still not a fan of Word as the document quality with Word Perfect is much better. But sometimes you have to make a trade. I am pleased I decided to make this one. And really, this is more of a Word issue than a Clio issue. Clio talks to Word well.

Great for Law Practice
I use Clio for billing; I have not found it useful for other applications.
Vorteile
The interface is clean and looks very professional. The payment by credit card is automated.

User-friendly and Great Customer Service
Customer service is very responsive!
Vorteile
I consider myself a paper person. I use a paper calendar and I write everything down. But this software is very easy to use. When first using the software, I just used a few elements I needed --timekeeping, mostly. As time has gone on, I've used it for conflict checks, saving documents, and notekeeping. Anytime I've wanted to use a feature new to me, customer service is fantastic and walks me through it.
Nachteile
I have not found anything I didn't like. I just need to utilize more elements.

I <3 Clio so much
I signed up to Clio years ago and haven't looked back since. The simplest way to describe the cloud based company is that they just "get it." Quick billing? Check. Awesome customer support? Check. They really have what I need as a solo attorney (and nothing more, which is just as important).

I've told Josh and Jack like 100000 times that they should buy Lexicata. You guys need a front facing design for clients with auto emails and e-signature

Billing Made Simple
Excellent
Vorteile
As a family law practitioner, I not only dreaded monthly billing, I was losing money. When I started using Clio for billing changes my billing practice entirely. Not only does it take a fraction of the time, I capture my time more efficiently. Plus the customer service chat button is awesome.

Clio customer service has been top notch.
Vorteile
Clio has a smooth and intuitive interface. It makes managing clients--from intake to getting paid--efficient and seamless. The Clio app for phones is also quite handy.
Nachteile
I have not found too many cons with this product as of yet. It would be nice to be able, more intuitively, to customize invoices. But this feature nonetheless meets our needs.

The customer service is excellent and are available anytime I am online. I get immediate answers to my questions and I appreciate that a lot.

My firm uses Clio and we find it to be an improvement over other lit mgt programs.

I love the iphone application and use it all the time. Direct access to our docketing system through an efficient app is a nice feature.

I wish the calendar could integrate with Google's Calendar or the iphone calendar, I do not like have separate calendars.

Great law office management tool!
I'm a paralegal/office manager. When I started my new job in March, one of the first things I asked my attorney for was a practice management system. He let me choose the platform. I chose Clio because I heard a lot of good things about it in the legal community. I do not regret my decision. I love the calendar, tasks and notes functions. It's very helpful to be able to go to a matter and see the calendar just for that matter with such ease. I look forward to see what new features are to come!

I like the timekeeping features because it helps me keep track of my time easily.
Nachteile
I would like to see a print screen button. It would be helpful in the notes tab.

Good but takes a while to get it
It's a good program, but it takes a while to get the hang of it. There are so many features I don't yet know how to use. But the customer service is great!

Great for Calendaring
Overall, the experience has been good for the cost.
