Excellent service is provided to customers. Every time I've had to contact customer support, I've been blown away with the kind of service I've received. I've never had to wait more than a minute to get an answer to a query I've had.

Nachteile

There isn't anything about Paylocity that bothers me. Everything is explained clearly and in terms that a newbie can grasp. Those links to assistance are a big help. Additionally, navigating the menus and links is simple. Simple and obvious in its construction.

Paylocity makes it easy to manage our multi-county company. Everything is housed in one system, and the modules are user-friendly.

Nachteile

Canada payroll is not processed directly in the system. We have to use BlueMarble to process payroll, so that is one limitation.

I love how easy it is to use and navigate and make changes when needed. As an employee who works a hybrid schedule, I love that I can punch in from the Paylocity App. I appreciate being able to review my time, make edits to punches and input my PTO easily. We switched from another provider last year and this experience is so much more intuitive and houses all of my HR information in one place making it a platform where I can access all of my information in one central location.

At this time there isn't any one thing in particular that I dislike about Paylocity.

I liked there was an app that I could access on my smartphone.
I liked that it was able to display what I mostly wanted to know and access on the dashboard after logging in and could hide my pay amount.
It can integrate with other services.

I don’t like the UI very much in the website and the app. I ended up not using the app all that much on my phone and used the website on my computer.
My managers had lots of trouble getting things figured out with the performance reviews and mine ended up being months late.

I think Paylocity is a great management tool for a company and it is very beneficial for employees to keep track of things like timesheets, PTO/Sick time, other benefits and more.

Nachteile

I do not like how the software makes you change your password very frequently, I wish a different security measure was put into place. I have had some difficulty with trying to clock in at work and getting the change password request.

Its ease of use is amazing. I learned how to use it in about a day and have been happy with the app and software on both android and apple hardware

sometimes, if there is little signal, the system gets a little wonky and I get random glitches. For example, my calendar will show me dates about 4 or 5 months ahead when I just want to check my schedule for the following week forcing me to scroll back for a few minutes.

The one thing we were disappointed about with Paylocity was that during the sales pitch everything had already been structured, built out, and polished in their test version. We wish the platform was more polished out of the box, or their implementation team should have been a bit more willing to build a robust system for us.

As an employee, I find Paylocity super easy for handling time cards and checking pay stubs. Clocking in and out is quick, and I can easily review my hours to make sure everything looks right before payday. I also like how I can access my pay stubs right from the app—no more waiting or asking someone for copies. It’s straightforward and makes keeping track of my hours and pay really convenient.

There are occasional technical issues, like slow load times or glitches during peak hours, which can be frustrating when trying to access important information or lag time when clocking in and out.

I think the reporting should be named better. There are some reports with similar names, and you have to go through the whole process and download before seeing what the report looks like.

Sometimes the app glitches, and it has to be refreshed in order to work. The website lags just a little bit as well.

The Time and Attendance feature was a standout—our employees never had issues with the app, which was both surprising and impressive. Customer service was another big plus, with fast response times whenever we needed support. The compliance training modules were incredibly efficient, making annual requirements and onboarding seamless. On top of that, the HR Time and Labor module was easy to use yet flexible enough for setups like multiple pay rates. The reporting tools were also a huge win—detailed, customizable, and integrated well with our budget.

The lack of integration with QuickBooks was frustrating, requiring a lot of manual entry to post payroll for a large team.

Vorteile

We love how Paylocity has enabled us to independently adjust the main panel as required. I loved the abundance of support channels with Paylocity, thus ensuring transparent communication with HR officials and maintaining privacy. I loved the ease of filling out leave and leave requests and approving them. I loved how the foundations for calculating taxes and filling out their forms became clear. It is wonderful that Paylocity made sending inquiries and responding to them direct, to ensure job stability and speed of completion always.

Everything is great with Paylocity, the negatives are not mentioned with the presence of this huge number of features.

Paylocity has allowed us to customize a lot about our company site/setup. I spend most of my time in the Onboarding side of things and being able to customize the onboarding tasks is really helpful.

When it comes to the Employee's side of Paylocity, it is relatively straightforward and user-friendly. The site is easy to navigate and when needed, the support team is very friendly and usually quick to respond.

Nachteile

There is definitely room for improvement within Paylocity. It seems like a lot of functions, features, and even naming conventions are a bit more complicated than they need to be. In the onboarding side, setting up onboarding event packets, tasks, or templates is a TOTAL PAIN. The process is cumbersome and you can't delete certain things once they're created. The builder for customizing onboarding tasks 100% needs some help and could be a lot more user friendly if Paylocity were to copy a builder-setup like SurveyMonkey.

There is a decent amount of information in Paylocity if your organization utilizes it.

It can be difficult to navigate when you do not use the program often. Messages that are created from Paylocity and emailed to employees do not include the full message in the email, preventing employees from reading the entire message without having to open Paylocity.

WE still have hiccups in setting up approvals for PRO/timesheets that we cant seem to overcome. There a a few wrinkles in the system that make no sense to me!

Paylocity has created numerous efficiencies regarding payroll and collaboration with our fiscal department. Communication and adjustments are made in real-time, versus playing email tag or struggling to find opportunities to meet in person or on Zoom. The vacation requests/approval feature and my ability to track my PTO are excellent!

Nachteile

It took us a while to get accustomed to it, as we are a small company shifting towards the usage of more technology. However, the online support and tutorials were invaluable.

Paylocity makes all of our scheduling super easy. We have the ability to track all employee documentation. The learning portion is great as well since we can include our learning tools and create tests for understanding. Having a central place for the on-boarding process also makes it easy when hiring new associates. The entire platform is very user friendly and by far one of the best I have used.

User friendly interface, modules can be added as needed, improved "impressions" (employee recognition) pretty easy to run reports (love dynamic reporting), dashboards are easy to read. We mainly use this for payroll and onboarding. Love the fact that you can pretty much customize onboarding packets to your needs. Great for smaller companies (under 500 employees) that do not need a lot of assistance from customer service

Nachteile

Customer service is lacking. Sometimes takes days for a response from them. They have slightly improved over the years, but it depends on the question. A lot of times you're directed to their online knowledge base which can be outdated or not have the full information to answer your question. Or one person will direct you to another department which will push you off on another. Very frustrating!
