This software helps streamline all areas of our preschool management. It is a great selling feature when touring new parents. They love the ability to pay online and the ability to stay connected to their children while they are at our school.

Nachteile

I can't think of anything that I don't like about Brightwheel. The Brightwheel team responds quickly if I have an issue and are always receptive to suggestions for changes or upgrades.

I like the ease of communication with my child's teacher and school manager. Also, love how she can share pictures and videos with me while he is in daycare

I wish the application had options to choose who i am messaging to: the teacher or the manager , or etc . Also, I would like to comment on pictures or videos (instead of just pressing the heart0

I wish it was easier to message all checked in students instead of having to go to every individual classroom or message all families, when something doesn't apply to the students not checked in.

What won me over was the support team and Brightwheel’s overall commitment to giving our school the platform we wanted. As the Teacher/Director, there were features I found I needed. Brightwheel looked into my request and found ways to accommodate my needs even if it required new programming on their part to create it. Impressive service!

Nachteile

Cost. I have found after several recxomendations that the cost is top of the market... something most schools have difficult time justifying.

Vorteile

It's easy to use, our teachers can post and record activities with ease and simplicity. It's very responsive and new features are being added regularly to make the product even more useful.
Messaging between parent/ teacher is a key feature as well as being able to post videos to share the child's day and special moments with parents.

Nachteile

Cannot really think of any cons, the product has always exceeded our expectations. It would be nice to be able to post directly from the PC instead of the App at all times.

The ease of our staff and parents to use. Able to send communications to staff and parents via email and or text messages. When we pick up our children for Afterschool, the parent is notified which helps ease their anxieties. I like having the pictures of the children for greater ease in checking them in and out of our program. I always know the exact number of children attending for our ratio.

I can’t say at this time there was nothing I liked least.

Brightwheel has been life changing for our center. It has given us the option to allow online payment, easy clock in and clock out for our parents, easy staff tracking. Just an overall great experience.

Nachteile

My only complaint would be that I would like the option to also run payroll rather than paying for a seperate software.

I like that you can select multiple children when you want to write the same information when it applies to more than 1 child.

I wish the teachers can post lesson plans into the software so parents have access to it. There were many occasions where the teachers send notes to the parents and they would not receive a notification unless it was sent as a message.

There are many features to use in the premium account but also has nice options in the free version. It is a great tool to promote your business and increase parent communication. It makes the business run smoother. The tool has frequent updates.

Some smaller providers have complained about the cost of the premium service. But for me it has been a great tool that made my business easier to manage.

We used brightwheel daily as a way to communicate with parents at our childcare center. The app is very easy to use and has updated recently with many great features that we have been able to incorporate into our daily routine.

Occasionally the check-in and check-out process can be a little bit glitchy (kids get checked out when they are still here).

I loved being able to communicate about my children using this app! When they were in daycare I could keep track of not only what they did but also what they ate and their temperament. It was fanatic that we were able to communicate directly with the teachers and staff for any issues or concerns as well

The only my option I wish brightwheel offered was the ability for myself as the parent to send pictures/videos.

The app is perfect for keeping parents updated. With any technology the app can sometimes show a delay in sending information to needed parties. May since issues with freezing.

It is very easy to use! The ability to use profile pictures makes check in and check out so simple. Parents love how easy it is to use.

My only complaint is a typical technology complaint- it glitches sometimes and unchecks students. It's an easy user fix if there is only one person signed into the account.

I love the simplicity with which the app operates. It is attractive and easy to use. It has great features like picture sharing and it keeps parents updated with very little effort for teachers.

Bright wheel has been a great communication between teacher and parents. I can keep records, send pictures and send messages. I believe this is an important tool in communication.

I don’t have any cons to this program. Needs WiFi . I once taught in a classroom that had one brick wall. That is when I had a hard time using any program.

Brightwheel is such a great tool and has many features that we enjoy! However, it would be nice to send a message to just one of the teachers instead of the message going to all teachers.

The software is very easy to use and very simple for all of our parents. I love that you can send individual messages or group messages. I think that this is an amazing tool for all childcare centers, our parents love the ease of signing kids in and out.

I wish some of the teacher options were easier to use. I also wish there was a way to mass release staff only posts.

I use this primarily as it was intended, as a means of communication with parents. The privacy is important and the way that parents only receive notices about their own child is valuable to the parents, children and school.

Brightwheel has made it so much easier for our teachers to stay in contact with our families throughout the day. It puts the parents at ease being able to message the classroom and see snapshots of what their child is doing. We also love being able to notify all of our parents of upcoming events, school closings etc in a quick and efficient manner.

Sometimes there are glitches in the video option making it difficult to upload. It's a great feature but with time it could get even better!

Extremely easy to use. I do not use this software for my own business, it is used by my sons daycare. Brightwheel gives my direct access to speak to my sons caregivers, the upload photos, and daily updates.

There is no live feed option to view security cameras, it also is hard to recover passwords from the app.

Absolutely love this softwares ease of use. The updates of photos, videos and frequent happenings are such a great brightener to my day!

The only thing I would like is if they made tax documents easier to compile at the end of the year. Having access to tuition statements is great but having a cumulative form at the end of the year would’ve been ideal.

Its very simple to download reports of Staff sign in and sign outs and to keep track of hours that staff are at work.

I would like if when a parent or staff member signs in and out to be an option to make a comment like if they signed in a bit late they can make a note.

We saw this item on SharkTank and immediately informed our child's daycare director of the impressive product. They soon after implemented it. We loved the communication it provided between facility and parents. The pictures and information shared were impressive.

Nachteile

Occasionally it would say our child had been "checked out." But it was a glitch.

The messaging function to communicate with parents. As a parent I love that I can talk to my child’s teacher throughout the day. As a teacher I love that I can communicate with parents.

I don’t like that the video length has to be so short. Sometimes I can’t upload videos of kids for their parents because the length is too long.

Brightwheel has made it very easy for us to conduct our daily preschool operations! We are able to not only track student attendance, but also communicate easily with families, safely send them pictures, bill the families and take care of our staff needs as well. If any question should arise, their customer service is top notch. The charge for the premium option is suitable for the services offered.

No issues. We were using the free version, which had some limitations, but once upgraded to the premium version we are very pleased!

The most that I like about Brightwheel are the new features! The parents are able to see what’s going with their child each and everyday. The videos that we now can post. It shows how they are progressing each day! Most of all the parents can see and feel the love as well as what they are being taught.

The least is really nothing! We just can’t post others on a particular page when they are doing group work

We enjoy the ease for communication with parents. It is very intuitive and easy for all of our staff to use. Parents LOVE it!

Some features of the billing can be challenging. When I want to create a single invoice sometimes I have to create a name that is different and I don't want a different title but it makes me in order to submit.

I also wish I could search by paused plans. I used to be able to but I can't find that feature now.

The ’custom’ button is awkward. I have been texting on pics the developmental domains shown and realize now that maybe i could be using this button instead!

some of the options they offer is kind of confusing to use and you definitely have to get the customer support on the phone to be able to use it.

Immunizations need to be more complete, with reminders of when they might be due and reports for finding out who has finished.
Being able to upload forms would be wonderful, like newsletters, or medical forms

I like that I can take attendance, reach parents with easy, and post pictures as a class or for a single student for the parents to see. I also like how simple the app is which makes learning it use it even easier.

I do not like the fact that I am unable to see or print a monthly attendance sheet for my class. I also don’t like that I can’t send a picture with a caption all in one.

The app is easy to understand and work with which is great in a classroom setting when everything else is complicated enough I know with a few quick taps the parents are up to date on their child’s day to day schedule

Sometime I put notes in the kids schedule but since so much more is going on those notes go unnoticed I which there was a way to make the notes stand out

I like how simple it is to input data from our clients into this software and I didn't need any training to being savvy with this product.

The issues with this product is that sometimes the product has trouble refreshing the data and I can't see the most current data.

My only issue is that parents are able to message before drop off or after pickup. It would be nice if communication started when the teacher is on the clock.

I love this software because it makes it SUPER simple and such an ease for teachers and parents to see how a child’s day is going. Whether you haven’t been in the room all day with a child or you have.. you can easily look to see when/how the child ate or slept that day!

Sometimes slow so I have to use my data on my phone but the pros make up for that most days!
