I love this software because it makes it SUPER simple and such an ease for teachers and parents to see how a child’s day is going. Whether you haven’t been in the room all day with a child or you have.. you can easily look to see when/how the child ate or slept that day!

Nachteile

Sometimes slow so I have to use my data on my phone but the pros make up for that most days!

Ease of use, great features and most of all our families love it! Brightwheel is such an amazing app to have especially in this post covid world .

Nachteile

“room device mode” it’s not very functional. Especially being in a childcare center. We just don’t use that function

I loved that my students teacher could communicate with me throughout the day with updates and pictures. It gave me peace of mind!

With multiple children the application is harder to navigate but still fairly simple. Hard to find anything I don’t like.

The ease of access to every tool needed to do all computer work for Registration and Billing.
Easy access to the technicians and representatives with just a click is soo helpful

it glitches sometimes, adding the same parents' names to 3-4 siblings account can be daunting.
sometimes names do not pop up even if they are on the system.
Names deleted can sometimes appear in billing.

I was a teacher's aide while in high school and I would help my teacher out with her duties and use brightwheel. It was very easy and efficient that even I, a student, could use it. Pretty awesome.

The billings for the software should be mapped out so we know what we're specifically being charged for.

I will like to see a scanning code for teachers to check in and out. I will like to see the same easily and amazing app that you have for phones ​to be able to use it the same way in tablets​ and computers. ALso,​ we will like to be able to edit add pictures or resend​ messages when you are sending them to all the parents. When sending email to all the parents resources​ are limited.

Parents can check in on children at any time and we can message parents at any time. Pictures of our children in action are available to parents. Meals, naps, etc are all recorded and can be looked back on to review. No more paperwork!

Nachteile

Sometime the software gets glitches and won't allow parents to check in or out. Payments can only be made in full and sometimes parents that have accumulated a bill want to pay large amounts at one time.

No problems, whenever I bring up some issues it seems like they make changes to the system within a month or so.

Brightwheel has made our organization transparent with our parents during the day. They know everything about their kids day each step of the way!

As the admin I would like the ability to see all my classes side by side without having to click each individual class and student.

What I like the most is the fact that I can engage with my child and their teachers without actually having to come in during a busy work day.

It would be nice if I could send a direct message to a teacher, as of right now it seems a bit too ambiguous with my message direction. Also and additionally when two parents are engaging with the same student there are no clear ways of discerning which parent sent what message if the message is seen by the parent adjacent at all.

Ease of having parents pay online. Also being able to send all updates in real time.

When adding a payment by check or cash it’s an annoying process of clicks to enter the payment.
When adding a activity to all kids if a mistake is made you have to edit each one you can mass edit.

You can only upload 30 second videos, therefore I think it would be great to extend the video timing

I wish there were more ways for me (a teacher) to customize my user interface. I interact with a lot of students across classes, so it could be convenient, for example, if I could look at multiple classes as one group.

If I have a small group it is challenging to keep selecting a small group of kids. It would be nice to be able to put them into sub groups for special activities that not all kids are involved in. Example: we have soccer on Thursdays. Only 15 of my 25 kids are enrolled in soccer. It takes a long time to post different videos And select those 15 kids every time

Leaving kids in preschool is usually very difficult. However, brightwheels helps the parents and teachers stay connected in real time.

I did not find anything I disliked about the software. Whenever there was a bug, we would call and they would fix the problem!

I love that I can see what my kids are doing at school while I'm at work. I have collections of their pictures and activities from school. I like having a quick k and easy way to communicate with their teachers.

It is not as easy to use as some other software. I had to figure out stuff on my own. I would sometimes not get a notification that there was a message or picture that was uploaded, so I sometimes only saw messages when I went into the app.

Brightwheel makes it so easy to manage my daycare. Billing is so quick! My kids love being able to check in and out and parents love the piece of mind knowing their child go to daycare after school. The ability to message all parents at once has been a lifesaver.

The way the messaging system lists the messages. If you send a message to all students it lists each message separately, making it almost impossible to look for older messages.

It's fairly easy to use. I like that you can make suggestions and soon after you see the changes on the app. I have contacted customer service about a question and got an immediate response.

Some things don't seem to flow well, especially on the invoicing side. I know our Executive Director had alot of problems and also couldn't get answers. That was extremely frustrating.

I love how you can take videos and pictures and the parents are able to save them. I like how easy it is to navigate the app.

We have two centers and I do not like that I have to sign in and out each time I want to look at the other center. That’s very inconvenient and takes a lot of time to go back and forth. Plus I have to have two separate logins for both schools.

I love that I get a daily look into my child's day at daycare while I'm at work. I love the daily report that showcases sleep, eating and potty breaks! It also makes it really easy to download photos and videos to save to my camera role!

This also makes it so easy to make payments and get the tax form!

The only thing I wish they had was a weekly report or maybe an area to grade how the child is doing in certain areas.

Brightwheel is a great way to keep all of my parents updated throughout the day on how their child is doing, via message, photo, or video.

As a teacher and parent in the school, my biggest frustration is that I cannot have a profile for both. I am unable to get parent messages from the class my child is in, because I already have a teacher profile.

As a lead teacher in an infant room, this makes life in a room full of infants easier. It’s such an easy way to know who had a diaper, food, nap, etc and when and I can easily communicate with parents during the day while still caring for the children.

I would like to be able to note their milestones or what they are working on without having to add a note for each individual achievement.

I hope we can still improve the way we can send messages to the parents likeby classroom or department, it will be nice to have options like maybe add graphics to the message to make it more appealing. I for one likes reading messages or announcement from my daughter's school with a little graphics on it it gets my attention immediately.

Having Brightwheel has been like having a third teacher in the classroom! It has helped immensely with the recording of the daily routines so that teachers in a classroom can provide opportunities for the sharing of information with families while giving teachers the time needed to engage with children bring to fruition a high quality of learning.

At times the navigation in and out of recording routines can be a bit cumbersone.

We love Brightwheel for so many reasons. It's easy to use and, most importantly, definitely serves its purpose: keeping our parents connected to their children throughout the day.

Honestly, nothing! This program is so intuitive, and they have thought of everything from both the school and parent perspective.

It doesn’t work sometimes - typically the times you need it most. Also the billing function is difficult to navigate at first but once you learn it gets easier. The biggest thing I’ve had trouble with is just the app being down for however long when we need it nearly every second of every day, it’s a nuisance. But overall I do like the app.
