Easy replacement for you office software
While it is a free program, if you are used to using the standard microsoft office programs, using libreoffice can be frustrating, since a lot of the features act differently than in microsoft.

Good, but not innovative
The platform meets my expectations, is simple to use, allows you to save files in various formats and allows for various activities.

Why buy Microsoft Office?
my computer repair guy turned me on to this free software.
Vorteile
This free software has all the basic functions of expensive Microsoft Word and it's FREE! Need I say more!
Nachteile
I have not tried to use any other sections except those compatible to Microsoft Word and I am very happy.

LibreOffice
Vorteile
The first thing one must know about this software is that it's a free one, which is great compared to.. you know to which one :) it has all the functions which his more famous rival has, plus it can convert the files not only into PDF but also epub format which is an advantage.
Nachteile
The con of this software is its design, which I'd call not modern, even outdated, but this is compensated by being a free and open-source software. Also sometimes it lags when opening a large file.

I chaged Microsoft Office for Libre Office and i don't regret it is a very good tool to replace Microsoft Office, its free and the User Interface is user friendly
Nachteile
The only problem that i had was that the app freezes when i try to open an office document or all the margins, size and type of letter are unconfigured

Great tool for organizing
I love using this program to stay organized and to keep track of my teams hours for payroll. It is easy to access the same layout and simply just do little changes each month. The program has been very useful and I'm looking forward to try out different features it has in the future.

Simple and affordable open source office suite
A good office suite available free of cost
Vorteile
The best thing about Libre office is that it is open-source and free of cost unlike its top competitor like Microsoft Office and other office suites.
It is compatible with almost all kinds of extensions like word, excel, ppt, etc. It gets updates almost regularly and is available to end users at no additional costs.
It is compatible with the Microsoft office however, I have personally noticed that reports or charts that load in Microsoft Powerpoint or Excel may not necessarily load in libreoffice or openoffice.
Overall, it is a great suite of such applications.
Nachteile
With cost comes stability, reliability and security where LibreOffice stand way behind the queue as compared to Microsoft office. Support and functionalities are missing and this makes it a less useful tool.

My overall experience with it was it got me through until I could save up enough money for what I wanted.

So Long Microsoft Office!
I like it for what it is. Anything that give Microsoft a little bit of competition and a reason to lower the prices for their suite is a good thing in my opinion.
Vorteile
This free open-source office suite is very intuitive to learn and is an awesome budget-friendly alternative to Microsoft's pricey office suite.
Nachteile
It does lack some of the more advanced features of Office, but normal users would most definitely not notice. It also sometimes wants to save documents in it's proprietary file format instead of Office's default extensions.

Great for people who aren't as tech savvy and still need to use a Word Processor and Spreadsheet software. You can easy convert documents to PDF or HTML, make tables and insert graphics. You are also able to make a PowerPoint presentation with the software. If you are looking for a free alternative to Microsoft Office, Libre has everything you need.

I have run into no cons so far while using Libre.

Libre Office is a software that enables their users to access word docs on multiple platforms
It's an ok app to have it on your phone or tablet devices.
Vorteile
As I have indicated in the title, this software makes their users to access, edit, and save MS Office documents easily on multiple platform. Comparatively it's a cheaper option than authentic MS Office software.
Nachteile
It's a secondary app to access the MS Office documents, never the first. Also, these days there are other apps to compete in terms of is practicality; Google Docs and few other options are making Libre Office not exclusive.

Great office suite that is not from Microsoft
Overall LibreOffice offers great alternative for regular office work with some features that overshadow its competition.
Vorteile
LibreOffice offeres quite huge list of features. This list sometimes goes beyond regular MS Office offering.
I have used this software mostly for flowchart drawings since alternatives can become quite expensive.
Nachteile
The file compatibility is not perfect. Some files from alternative solutions can be opened and edited, but there is no option to save the file in a original format.

LibreOffice is mediocre
I used this free software twice and found it difficult to utilize. I can compare it to using the NotePad software that comes preinstalled with Windows PC's.

The positive thing about this software is that it was a free version I used before Google Docs came out.

I used to use it in low specs system and it do the job, but users don't like it at all. So I got to said that's OK.

Great alternative for word/excel docs
I used this to create all sorts of documents that I had to submit for school/work.
Vorteile
The best thing about LibreOffice is in the name-it is FREE! It really helps too that its functionality is very similar to its competitors so there isn't really a learning curve.
Nachteile
The only issue I have is that not enough people use the software so if I create something and need to share it with someone it is difficult for them to view it if they do not use LibreOffice.

It's a great free alternative that can save you some time and money at the compromise of certain features.

The price is obviously the big selling point, it's fast, lightweight and intuitive. If you're familiar with the competition, you won't be lost with LibreOffice.

Vorteile
You can save documents into a Microsoft Word format and go back and forth with the Office programs.
Nachteile
Some of the spreadsheet functions are not as easy to use as Microsoft Office spreadsheet. Some formatting does not transfer back to MS Office correctly.

More powerful than OpenOffice
I managed to open and edit a document without necessarily having to buy Microsoft Office and it is no small thing.

With OpenOffice I was unable to properly load a document with all the advanced controls present. With LibreOffice it was enough to open it

It is perhaps a little too slow to open, it should perhaps be optimized on opening, but it will also depend a lot on the characteristics of the PC

This free version implementation of office is great, offering multi language support and ,IMHO most important, open office file support. additional advantage is its Microsoft office support.

Not much disadvantages I can point on, except maybe missing Android support along with the awful dependency on Java which is major RAM consumer.

Overall, a great software that does the job and is very inexpensive.

This software is a great alternative to Microsoft Office. You can open Microsoft formatted files and save as Microsoft files. It costs much less to purchase too.
Nachteile
Sometimes a one page Microsoft word file opens as a two page file on libre. Besides that, not much of a difference.

Vorteile
Its free. No other alternative at least without an internet connection (Google Docs). Not as great as the actual office product as the features are not up there with it. However, its free and has everything you need for just writing papers.
