Vorteile

I love the unified account that allows me to view an inbox for all of my email accounts. The emails are then color coded so I know who it's being sent to. My other favorite feature is being able to click an email and have all emails from the same sender provided immediately in list format. This allows me to quickly empty my emails and overcome inbox overwhelm =)

Nachteile

There are no cons on this software that I have found personally. If I could request one feature, it would be to match the categorization of emails like you see in Gmail. At least provide the option to have your categories match how Gmail sorts them and/or provide a filtering option to either view or not view those emails in those categories such as newsletters, financial, etc.

The first then I'll mention is that Mailbird us pretty easy to use.
Another thing is the various add-ons that can be enabled. They make the user experience even more satisfying.
I also like that there's a dark mode. It makes it easy to use it at night.
The snooze option is another feature I love and use quite often.

It's super easy to use and the interface is very clean and approachable. The multi-account support, and all of the add-ons make Mailbird the only email client I need.

At some point I had minor issues with the software, but it was solved after a couple updates. I can't even remember what the problem was.

Now that I've switched I've found more deficiencies in their design than good. I guess the best so far was customer service helped my husband figure out how to import my 900 contacts from my former Live Mail. And their service reps are pleasant and easy to understand but they can't help you much because the program is so limited. But they are very pleasant when they tell you "Mailbird can't do that" to most the service requests I've made.

Nachteile

If you do a search of your e-mails you cannot erase in search mode. Meaning once the temporary need to retain emails on a certain topic expires you can search and SEE the dozens of emails you are now ready to erase but you can't erase them. One must write down all the dates or just manually scroll through to erase ONE AT A TIME. Major program flaw. Also you can't decrease the amount of space between returns, & there is no condensed font so if you compose things people will need to print out it will annoyingly take extra paper and ink to print. The bottom line is that my former FREE email was capable of so many basic things mail bird is not capable of and took more than a little over 14 days to experience each limitation as I had need to use the feature. So now I have to waste the money I paid for Mailbird and go to a more progressed e-mail design and I'm not even done moving everything to Mailbird yet.

Their support is horrible. Beginning the third week of plsatitudes and apologies, but NO FIX to a basic, fundamental requirement to sync my calendar. THis is all I get: "I have thoroughly investigated the log.log files that you have provided and it seems for some reason Mailbird cannot establish synchronisation with your calendar and we have SQL errors registered there.

I have forwarded your support request to our development team who will investigate this further and work on a fix. I understand how frustrating this is not to be able to use your calendar within Mailbird, and I would like to apologise for all the trouble and inconvenience caused. We are working on fixing this as soon as possible, hopefully, this will not take long."

Mailbird is an excellent and easy email client with which you can manage your different email accounts and your email's there within simple and quick. Third party app integration gives one the possibility to enhance once productivity by social media connections (Whatsapp and Facebook) and to-do lists, Google Calendar, Contacts, Keep, Evernote, Dropbox. This way, you have a very handy application which by a simple system of settings can be displayed in different manners. The email writer is easy and contains all necessary features.

Nachteile

There seems no pursue of the integration of more useful apps into mailbird but this might be in the development pipeline as well. A nicer automatic organizer of email groups (which groups all emails of one sender into one single group for easy management or tagging) would be very much appreciated.

Mailbird has never let me down, from the easiness of adding accounts, and its integration with calendar and contacts, it's just the best email application.

Nachteile

Mailbird can be a bit slow once in a while but I can live with that, it's not that bad. Sometimes when adding an email account, it is not that smooth.

When opening links from add-ons apps (such as WhatsApp or Slack) it insists on opening them with their own implementation of a browser which is not practically usable.
There are very occasional bugs but they all get ironed out very fast
Setting up yahoo mail is a multiple step process, but I suppose that's the case with most email clients
No functional proprietary spam filter

Customer support is good. They are constantly making improvements. When I purchased, I had the option to buy it for life. The program easily manages all of my e-mail accounts. The settings for the program and for individual accounts are extensive. My favorite feature would have to be how easy it is to setup accounts. Many programs (especially from Microsoft) require a person to know all of the right settings. You can certainly edit those in Mailbird, but often don't need to.

Nachteile

There are periodic glitches with updates. The latest was the inability to scroll through messages using the mouse wheel. These things often get fixed eventually, but they are usually simple things that I use regularly so it is a nuisance. Many of the symbols are confusing. Not a big deal once you learn the product, but they aren't intuitive.

I love how you can have all of your disparet e-mail accounts and sservicess under one roof. You can have your Outlook Mail, Gmail, Yahoo, and AOl/AIM, along with your calender, Facebook, and other online sservices.

Nachteile

Well for multiple e-mail accounts and extensive ssupport, there isa cost. Secondly, you cannot makee your, own custome color schemes or themes.

What I like most about Mailbird is the ease of managing my email workflow. Because of the ease of assigning inbox items or strategically snoozing items I want to visit later, I frequently operate with an "Inbox Zero" status. Using Mailbird has greatly helped me to get things done. The integration with other apps, especially Evernote and ToDoist, makes Mailbird even more useful. After using various cloud-based and offline apps, I plan to stay with Mailbird for a long time.

Nachteile

The only thing I'm less than pleased with is a display issue on my laptop when I switch to tablet mode. (Dell Inspiron 5000 series). Mailbird still works, but resolution is not what it should be in this mode. Given Mailbird's frequent updates and responsive customer service, I expect a solution to this is not far-off.

- Unable to create multiple signatures on the same mailbox (e.g. for me it's useful to have Russian and English signature on my bussiness mailbox at the same time)

You can sort all emails in one place; it has an intuitive and customizable interface. Notifications are instantly, and it has a sound that is not annoying, I can add any type of email. I like that I can create folders from multiple categories, such as accounts, spam, updates, among others.

Nachteile

Something I don't like is that you can't create account categories, you can only stack email categories.

It is great for email offering smart unified inbox and easy to navigate. It is also a quick and responsive app.

Won't open .ics files so need to use another program for a calendar. Also does not have a native calendar so needs to plug in to Google Calendar but it's per account and not unified.

It's very easy to use, with a lot of features. You can integrate it with most of social media and other services to have everything in one place. Also, if you get the pro version you get unlimited accounts and even email snoozing, a feature that is so good that was recently added to gmail.

If you don't pay for the pro version you only get 1 account. Also, if you add your Social media accounts and other services supported, it gets very heavy after some time

All the features are exactly what I wanted as a busy support business. We have Facebook and Whats app integration and a unified inbox so all inbound mails can be monitored in realtime

The bugs with office 365 really killed it for us. We work on a fast but expensive Vsat and having been asked 3 times to reload a 20Gig plus mail file is annoying. The system upgraded to Auth2.0 and now I get my emails in bursts every few hours as there are authentication issues. Since then my hundreds of contacts are not there, every day there is an increment about 5 or 10 contacts from the server and I am now up to 80 contacts.
As I use contacts for everything this is very disappointing as I have to leave Outlook open !
I was less than complimentary about this on my support ticket and I have only got automated replies for the last 2 weeks. NOT impressed with the support or the office 365 reliability. The rest is very good. Unfortunately we are a 365 business so its a non starter for us and getting cut of from support for being uncomplimentary when we are a paying customer is unprofessional to say the least.
Be warned, Mailbird needs hugs.

My ONLY con when dealing with Mailbird is the way folders are created. I'd like to be able to just right click on the folder area and add a fold instead of having to go through a process. I create a LOT of folder to stay organized in 5 different email accounts.

It's got an extremely good looking and customizable UI. It gets my email. I was able to pay for a lifetime license, so I own the email client and won't have it yoinked just because I don't want to pay for a given month. I HATE the monthly software-leasing model, especially when no service is provided! It's a client, it's run on my machine, and using the servers of my email providers. No monthly fee is appropriate. Anyway, this is a good client.

Nachteile

That it does not run on MacOS. I am forced to use Spark on Mac and iOS, and it's okay, but it's kind of buggy and a lot less customizable, and I wish I could use Mailbird instead!

Not only does Mailbird put all your email accounts into a common window, but it also lets you incorporate other chat and productivity tools into the same space. With good customization options to let you set all of this up in Mailbird for a personalized workflow, using this app should only result in improvements to efficiency.

Nachteile

It's tough to switch away from working in your browser after years of having done so. Gmail is a great tool in its own right, and Mailbird doesn't offer a ton more in terms of features or experience as compared to the refined basics you get directly from Google. I don't always remember, frankly, that I have Mailbird. Once I do remember, though, I do switch over.

Linking different e-mails is easy, as is sending from different e-mails. The search availability is useful, and I like how it displays your most recent search history. It has also a friendly interface - not too cluttered, but not over simplified either.

Nachteile

With the updated availability to review Google Sheets/docs directly in the e-mail, this limits my ability to multi-task, i.e., I cannot review other e-mails while viewing a Google Sheets document. I find myself often copying the link and then pasting it in my browser instead, because there's currently no way to 'opt out' of this option.
I would like to be able to categorize my 'starred' emails.
The availability to access your two most recent searches, rather than one, would make it more useful.

It is fast, it loads fast. Very attractive interface. Very easy to use, all in one Inbox. I love the integration with Whatsapp, Wunderlist, gCalendar, gKeep and many more.

Nachteile

I miss some right-click menu options and tabs. I have accounts with lots of folder and I have to scroll to check them. If I could use tabs, they will show if any emails is in folder. I would like for external links such as in Twitter, Whatsapp to be opened in my default browser rather than in the built-in. You can play Twitter video inside Mailbird.

Love the possibility to integrate the Apps I use most into this software. Being able to have Dropbox, Asana, Trello, Todoinst, Facebook and others in just one place is time-saving and I love it.

Nachteile

Reception of "standard" messages from customer support when submitting queries, that's off-putting. Also, the inability to categorize messages. I would like to be able to mark messages (colour codes, for example), putting them labels.

It can integrate any email account - be it gmail, yahoo, outlook, or so on. Even it can pull IMAP or POP accounts.
The icon feature is good way to keep track of navigating through different accounts. Besides, one can color the mails to see in a unified view.

One can find it overwhelming initially as you find lot of options while installing it for you very first account. But, as it is aimed to be for managing mails, you would deliberately fall in love with this.

I really like being able to have my work and personal accounts all in one place, especially since I use both outlook mail and gmail. I also like have my Slack account, google keep, and other productivity accounts linked to Mailbird. It makes accessing information, especially for work, really easy.

I’ve had some difficulty setting up my account. Periodically I hAve reestablish the connection to the mail accounts.

Vorteile

Everything you need is combined into one app. It basically creates mini-web pages that you can quickly toggle to. You can integrate Slack, Google Drive, Google Docs. Google Calendar, Asana, Feedly, Trello, Todoist, Hangouts, Keep, Facebook, and Chrome, just to name a few. It works best with Gmail, but it can also handle Exchange.

Snooze emails - you know when you get an email that wants a response, but either now is not a good time, or maybe you need more information before you can answer, or perhaps you need to hear from someone else before you can respond back. Snooze will allow you to set a reminder to respond to that emails at a later time when you think you might have an answer.

The price is good and they usually have good deals, especially if you act in the first few hours.

Nachteile

It doesn't work (or at least I haven't really figure it out) with Exchange/Office 365 calendars. There are some things you can do in your O365 settings to create the calendar's URL, but it's only a one-way deal. You can't create calendars entries that sync back with O365.

It would also be nice if Mailbird was available for Mac, iOS, Android, and especially ChromeOS.

Before mailbird i have tired almost all the mail clients which available online of cause for free to try and free ones but i ended up using and buying mailbird coz they have understood what the user needs form an email client. You can add almost all your IMAP emails but not restricted to other protocols as well. Other thing is not loaded with too much functionality but the right and most needed ones. You can use collaboration tools inside the mailbird which is good feature.

I needed to find an offline mail client to access my AOL mail and be able to respond offline to send later.
I wanted to have access to my contacts and be able to send group emails, changing groups as needed easily and quickly.

Sometimes syncing is an issue, but that may be due to the different internet connections while traveling.

Very handy customisation features. Intuitive interface, simple and tidy layout for a smaller laptop.

Lovely integration with select key applications (WhatsApp, Google Calendar) keep me on task and away from my phone during work.

The calendar integration could be better. It would be nice to have additional integration beyond a web portal.

A mobile app would be nice - other apps are especially dominant there.

Downloads from email attachments could be a bit better too. Like choosing folder etc.

It's much better than the program that comes with Windows 10 which was slow and frustrating. Mailbird lets me access a number of email accounts serving different aspects of my life and work projects. It's quick and uncomplicated. It was designed and maintained by people who understand the basic concepts of communications.

They had some early growing pains in their marketing outreach but got through them quickly.

Syncing between computers is a little tricky. It'd be nice to have all my settings, signatures etc in a cloud account so when I login to a new computer it is all brought over without having to manually copy everything across.
