It has useful task automations that allow us to automate diagraming tasks making it so easy and quick to create a visual. Lucidchart has a wide range of shapes making it easy to create any visualization diagram. It is easy to use and the drag and drop function makes it effortless to create any diagram.

Lucidchart has never disappointed us even once. I lack anything to comment negatively about.

The control isnt always very intuitive, like I wish there was a style method to make the entire chart or diagram in a consistent design. Or maybe enforcing a grid structure if desired. Sometimes rigidity could be good. This may have existed but I did not see it intuitively.

I love that it is cloud based hence allow us to create, edit and visualize diagrams from anywhere using any device that is connected to the internet. This platform support a wide range of diagrams and thus allow us to create technical and complex diagrams such as network diagrams , mind maps and process mapping which are suitable for planning, designing, visualizing and executing our complex projects. In addition to the incredible diagramming capabilities, LucidChart has also integrated with AI to allow us create complex systems and visualise databases, workflows, data flows and other elaborate processes in an easy to understand formats. LucidChart enable us to collaborate on realtime which enable us to work on projects collectively without any hitches or regardless of our locations. The numerous available templates has automated the repetitive process of process mapping and it allows us to quickly create diagrams that represents business structures and workflows accurately. Lastly LucidChart is big on privacy and security which ensures that our projects data is protected at all times

Nachteile

We haven't experienced any issues with LucidChart especially because it is very easy to use and there was no steep learning curve which has enabled us to maximise its use despite our different
levels of tech proficiency. Additionally LucidChart keeps on updating and advancing its features which gives us access to new technologies every now and then

I personally love using Lucidchart for flowcharts, diagrams, wireframes, etc; it's very intuitive. For example, I used it to create a customer journey map for a marketing campaign, and my team used the real-time collaboration feature to leave feedback as we went.

Also, the option of creating diagrams in real time with other people is the best, since we can help each other.

Over a year ago, I used only Lucidchart for wireframing, process flow diagramming, and creating site maps for new website projects. The process flow diagramming and site map features and templates work really well and meet my needs more than other tools I've tried.

There are better wireframing tools than this one, and I switched to using a different online service in the last six months. I am trying to remember if it has templates to kickstart a project, but I found the implementation of creating unique wireframes/screens to be cumbersome enough to look elsewhere.

One of the things i like most about Lucidchart is how easy it makes it to create charts and diagrams through drag and drop instead of programming. I also love how Lucidchart had a multi-user workspace that makes it easy to collaborate and work together with others when diagramming. Lucidchart has also impressed me with the AI diagramming tools which makes ot easy to create even the most sophisticated charts. It also had readymade templates that gave us a big head start when onboarding.

Arguably the most powerful feature in Lucidchart is the library of pre-built templates. As a young startup, often we struggled to conceptualise how best to map out a diagram or build a BPM. The lucidchart library made this much easier to search through the library and choose pre built templates which could be edited to suit our needs. The export to PDF was also important and valuable as we often downloaded charts for reports.

Lucidchart is the leader but I feel like tools such as Miro have really taken over int terms of UX/UI. We used to all use Lucidchart but rather quickly, our team switched to Miro and started using that and very quickly this became the norm. Lucid doesn't have a desktop version which is a real blocker for a team in the tool all the time. Lucid also doesn't have a community driven library so all the templates are built in house.

It is web browser based, which enables me use it for my diagramming needs on any desktop device without first installing software.
Also, I like that it integrates smoothly with my Google Drive. This has meant automatic backup of all of my flowcharts, process maps etc diagrams in the cloud.
Lastly, I like the vast template library it provides. I have relied heavily on them to ensure that I don't have to create process diagrams from scratch , as there is always an available template for any process diagram I have needed to create using Lucidchart.

Because Lucidchart is browser based, I have sometimes encountered lags, when accessing large sized process diagrams .

The ease of digitalizing all of the processes is just awesome. When I discovered this tool I was really impress how easy it is. I had some basic knowledge of UML and BPMN so it was clear to me what type of block to use when and why. It allows me to create really robust process maps, that's my main use case for that. Since I learned how to use it, every time I talk to with somebody about any kind of process we start to map it there, just to see how it looks and visually look for some errors and things that can be done better.

Nachteile

The free version in my opinion is just not enough to really get your hand on this software. You got just 3 documents with 60 shapes, if you're a person who is really detailed, that amount can be used really quickly not making you see the value in it.
