Vorteile

Once everything is setup, it is quite easy to use. I have staff checking out/in equipment everyday so it is very nice to be able to see the history of an individual and every piece of equipment. We use their asset tags as well so it is a stellar deal.

Nachteile

It does take a while to discover all of the features but still not a huge con. It’s a great product.

The software is free, does everything we need it to do. Looks professional, allows for reporting for management. Is a real win IT wise. We switched from a few Asset management systems that were free. This one blows them out of the water. I manage the MSP operations for my company. This allows me to manage multiple sites uniquely. put notes on equipment for maintenance, check in / out equipment to individual users or locations. You can even break down the locations by rooms / area's or floors or in theory the desk that the equipment sits at. will help calculate depreciation of equipment, for tax purposes at the end of the year.

Nachteile

It's good. My only concern is when something is free your the product.
I'm curious to know what they are skimming off of the database to sell our information.
Yes i feel obligated to buy their labels for my assets, whcih isn't required. I just do it because I WANT to pay them back for this great service. Still the skeptic in me is still waiting for the gotcha.

The ease of use, being able to scan barcodes and input a bit about the device to start. The ease of completing a school wide inventory. Prior to using asset tiger we just used spreadsheets and it took forever to complete an inventory.

Nachteile

One of the aspects of the product that could be easier to use, is when I send a device out for maintenance. It is difficult to find the correct location to set this up.

There are a lot of features and customization but I would love to be able to have a check out report for locations with the assigned person as well. Currently I can run it by who the asset is checked out to but I would like to be able to see which items are at a specific location and which person at that location the asset is assigned to. It would also be very helpful if you were able to check out assets to the person who reserved it without having to retype their name into the check out form.

I like the ease of use. The mobile app makes it easy to track inventory and check in / out equipment. Also love the mobile app for doing audits.

Nachteile

When you delete a piece of inventory there is no way to track what has been deleted and by whom. It would be beneficial to have some audit trail to show this. In my opinion this is the single most biggest problem with AssetTiger.

Great features for the price. It's everything I need for a small business. The search functions are easy yet the search can be greatly refined. The ability to have a barcode scanner is nice, though I don't use it personally. I also love the mobile app. Most of what I do with AssetTiger I do on my tablet. It's great to be able to go to an office/location and do an audit right there.

There isn't much I don't like about this software, but if I had to choose, the left navigation pane could be setup better with quick access to most used features being more prominently shown.

This is an very well designed asset database tool with an intuitive user interface. It's smartphone app is also rock solid and works way better than dragging around a barcode scanner. We started with the free version and grew into the paid version (cost covered by tag purchases). Asset tiger is light years ahead and far lower cost than the paid platform we had been using. This is the solution we had been looking for and it continues to improve with new features and capabilities.

Nachteile

Lacks Multi-factor authentication (MFA) feature for account security. Does not include a feature for tracking issued consumables.

Cost is low compared to competition.
The entire software is not intuitive or user friendly and I was under the improession it was.

Nachteile

Customer support is very bad. No phone numbers or chats, just an email.
There is no clarity on how to use the software and what its capable of. Nobody shows us demo or gives training. We had to figure it out ourself.
The paid plans are very confusing, instead of 1 year subscription, they have some "points" that get debited. God knows how that thing works. So again, no clarity for customers here.

AssetTiger was really easy to implement at our school. I particularly like that by purchasing labels, I receive credit to pay for the service. It is easy to customize to the needs of the business. I also like the asset tracking and the ability to assign devices to people. It is very helpful, especially since our school is 1-to-1 now.

Nachteile

I wish there was a more simple audit or inventory feature. It would be nice to be able to just scan all of the devices and get a report of what is missing. As it stands now, there is an audit feature, but even using the app, there is no continuous scanning ability. You have to scan, then submit over and over. It would be better if it was more streamlined.

I've been doing asset management off and on for 20 years, and AssetTiger is more robust than every other asset management system that I've used so far.

Nachteile

• Table views don't allow display of all records on a single page (which would make my AssetTiger usage much easier).
• The Sites, Persons/Employees and Customers table views have glitches which I've reported but haven't yet been resolved.

We were looking for a simple, well priced program to help manage our rental gear as well as facility equipment. We don't have many assets but it was getting to be too much for spreadsheets. We also wanted to better automate and log maintenance. Asset Tiger does everything we need without breaking the bank.

Would like to be able to change some of the wording/text to match our internal, company language.

Vorteile

The customisations is key. It's almost limitless to what you can add and do as an asset tracking software and it has changed the way we work for the better. Also, the categories function is exceptional for being able to allow users to only view the categories of equipment that apply to them.

Nachteile

Lack of direct ability to search items by who they're leased to from the asset list search function. It can be done but only with advanced searching.

Vorteile

One of the biggest pros about this product is it's free to use up to a certain number of assets. Which makes it perfect for managing a small amount of it assets or even other items you don't want walking away. On top of that it has a very clever check in and check out process with reminders that help you keep track of the items you're sending out.

Nachteile

There are no integrations or tie into other systems such as SCCM or other asset tracking modules. This makes this application stand on its own.

2) Not being able to check out an asset to an individual not in the database.
3) (internal issue) The access of multiple individuals to the program. I believe less ability to transfer assets to other individuals, more control & accountability could be maintained.

The ability to customize the asset fields to suit my needs. You can create categories and use various forms of input.. like dropdowns etc. You can also customize the order in which the fields are displayed on the forms.

This one is tough.. there's not really anything that stands out. At one point, I thought I wanted an on-prem version, but I don't think that's important to me anymore. APIs to integrate with would be handy.. I've look but haven't found them yet.

The pricing structure is phenomenal, the freedom for unlimited user access, the ease of use, and the intuitive design of the program makes it really simple. The reports are also very helpful, including the pre-built reports. I just breezed through a financial audit using Asset Tiger's export to excel reports.

Nachteile

A consumable inventory component would be very helpful. Also, I'd like the ability to limit search criteria by more than one search field at a time besides the standard site/location etc.

What I like most about this software is how easy I can find who has what. If there is a device I need to find I can easily do so with the QR code asset sticker. I can also track when warranty's are going to expire.

Nachteile

The UI on the app could use some improvements. I feel like they tried to put too much in a small place. The ability to type an account/location to find it rather than scrolling through a long list.

The pricing under their subscriptions can be a little confusing as well.

AssetTiger makes my day to day life as a Service Technician much easier as it provides a hub for me to store all my device information and keep track of where and who is using each device.

Overall there isn't much to complain about. Sometimes the option you are not looking for is the easiest to find but I, being in IT, do not have any issues to really complain about.

The software is well set up to track the musical instruments we rent to students. It's easy to find specific instruments when they need to be checked out, and easy to tell which instruments in a given category are available to rent. Once I learned its quirks the software was fairly easy to use.

Nachteile

The user interface is somewhat frustrating - it takes several operations to get to the entry screens when adding a new instrument or editing the record of an existing one. The display often runs off my monitor.

My favorite thing about AssetTiger is that I can easily track with a computer, cell phone app, or barcode scanner certain assets that I always need to know where they are or who currently has them. On top of that, I can also see a history of activity that helps me locate the item if it went missing.

Nachteile

I have had issues getting a bluetooth or usb barcode scanner to play nicely with AssetTiger when checking in/out assets. The phone app works great but being able to use easily use a wireless barcode scanner would take this software to the next level.

Enjoy how easy it is to deploy this software and the fact that you can use it for a trial period (below 250 assets for free) this provides you with ample time to test it thoroughly.

There's no downside to this software, it even has the scan facility and app to improve automation.

This AM software has a million features that you should be paying for, but the tool is free. There are a ton of canned reports and you can customize them or make your own. Check things in, check them out. Track when they are broken or fixed. Attach all of your photos and purchasing documents to the asset in the tool.

I thought it was great and then I found the auditing feature. What??? You can use this tool to perform an audit, and it's free?

I found a data mismatch in a report and sent it in to the support team. They fixed it...and fast. It was like support from a paid product, but this product is free.

Take my money already! Asset Tiger is fantastic!

As some have stated, there is a limited amount of documentation on some of the more complex features. You just have to suss it out yourself. But that's fine because you learn by making mistakes and by configuring and trying the tool. Once you are done figuring it out, you know the tool that much better.

Have been using for over two years to keep track of the assets that are provided to my tenants in my furnished rental apartments. Realized that it's not really made for this, but it really does the trick! I can sort out a list of all the items, not only by the apartment in question, but also by the room! Would recommend highly!

For myself I did find the pricing a bit high, but that's because of the way that I'm using it. I feel that if I were using the software the way it was designed, it is definitely worth the cost.

Being able to see all the companies assets in one place is a game changer! From there everything about maintaining assets is a breeze! Drilling down to the asset that you need to review is extremely easy and it feels like the AssetTiger team have thought about everything!

We have been using AssetTiger for a little under a year now and we love it. It makes asset tracking and taging very easy. The system is user friendly and is customizable to a degree. We have been able to track assets domestically as well as internationally with ease. The best part is the software platform is free!

We have found no cons sp far since using this system. The system does well for us and we have had no complaints.

Being able to add new companies/locations when trying to check out an asset that was scanned, you have to back all the way out and create the site before you can then go back to the assed and check it out to that new location. If you could create from the asset screen that would be preffered.

It's complete with: multiple users, multiple sites, multiple locations and multiple departments. The software offers a complete financial projection of your inventory, your TCO of your inventory and the status of every piece of equipment.

What I like best is the different statuses a piece can have. Is it broken and for reparair, is it broken and thrown away, what's the cost of the repair, what's the cost in case of a new one...it all adds up in the completeness of the software.

Also great is the app that's available, at least for iOS (don't know for Android). It can do almost the same as the web version.

In the end what's a good part is that you can number your equipment so you can label it, maintain it and track it. As soon as you start using this it's kind of keeping it up to date and maintain it. Every time something happens to a piece you need to administrate it so your inventory is right.

It's totally a great tool for a company or any NGO.

Nachteile

It looks like it needs the asset tags that this company offers. It's not a requirement but it probably helps tracking your inventory.

One thing I noticed is that you can't remove your account in case you don't need the software anymore (for whatever reason). If so, you need to contact support and they will help you remove your account, very easy and very fast.

The product is very easy to use and implement. What we like most about the product is easily able to track warranties and contracts. Customizable email notifications regarding warranties and contracts help us keep them up to date.

So far we have not came across any feature that we don't like.
