Not my cup of tea
cPanel worked until i encountered enough frustration and simple things like running a multi-site turned me away.
Vorteile
Works well when hosting one site. Configuration and setup is quick and doesn't take much effort.
Nachteile
I didn't like the limitations that came with hosting subdomains and webmail.

Has all software components to host a basic shared Web/Mail server. End-user interface is easy to understand for non-technical users.

The software suite is rather bloated and often contains multiple versions of software that provide the same functionality.

Great webhosting website management solution!
Vorteile
I've used WHM/cPanel for quite a while now for managing my website, definitely easy to pick up real quick. The UI effectively shows you around, and looks great! Definitely a must have when I select web-hosts.
Nachteile
The new price-model for hosting WHM is a bit "iffy" but not really an issue as an end-user of WHM. I really only see cPanel and nothing more. Not much to harp about.

Most ubiquitous server management solution
Vorteile
It is very easy to install and use especially for non tech-savvy user. Anyone buying a reseller account will probably expect WHM to be available.
Nachteile
Its very opinionated and makes major changes to the underlying OS which are very difficult to work around if you have a custom solution you want to implement. It solves a lot of problems but at the cost of being locked into the WHM way.

Good way to manage a hosting machine
Vorteile
Has a ton of options and things to do, it enables us to really manage our webserver and debug issues. Since I'm mainly a front end developer, it was not that hard to work with.
Nachteile
Since it have so many features, they could improve the user interface. But, in terms of funcionality, can't really complain about it.
