Much easier to use than Norton back up
In our office, Norton's backup system had been in place for a long time. While it seems to do the job, it became more and more cumbersome to use, having to delete old backups and make room for new ones.
Our bookkeeper recommended Carbonite and it was a very seamless transition. It was easy to install, very easy to see which files were backedvup, and very easy to add files to be backed up. There are no file space limitations, and when a file is backed, it writesvover the old version, so there are not multiple copies of back ups floating around.
For basic service, which is plenty for a small office, it made perfect sense and we are so glad we switched products!

Excellent Backup and Security Option
Vorteile
I love how easy it was to backup my entire PC. I felt very safe and secure knowing all of my files were stored and could be restored if necessary.
Nachteile
The price compared to the product offering. There are competitors that offer other tools in addition to the back up capabilities that make others a better value.

Affordable backup solution
Their support and customer service is really good , they answer to you in a good amount of time. I installed the trial version because the pricing seems good for everything they offer. Sadly I run into some issues in the installation process, their support team tried to help but they sent it to different support tiers and I didn't wanted to move forward.
Vorteile
It's very affordable for all the features they offer on the website. You can backup workstations and servers directly into their cloud servers.
Nachteile
It didn't work for us. We installed the trial version, it gave some errors on the server side, their support team tried to help and they were just elevating to their next support tier. I didn't wanted to deal with different support people so I decided not to go further.

Great back up
Vorteile
I like that you can customize the files and folders that are backed up. You can also see how much space each computer is taking on our shared backup storage.
Nachteile
It was a bit clunky to start but once I got the hang of it I was able to figure out changes to what I back up

Vorteile
The very best part of carbonite can be said to be the ease at which things can be set up. On top of that, the program is pretty snappy during installation. There is no need to be tech savy to get things done, you can as well go with the default settings and sit back while things remain automated for you.
Nachteile
I personally feel carbonite does not allocate enough bandwidth for stuffs backed up with them and for this reason, restoration of backups tends to be super slow, moves at a snail speed and is terribly annoying.

We use Carbonite for backup of some desktops.

Conversion seemed to go well. Comforting to know that our files are being backed up properly and we are protected.

Looks like there is an error in one of the computers so need to fix that.

Great Cloud Packup
A great program for a great price that will make sure that your data doesn't get destroyed.
Vorteile
The ease of use and the streamlined interface make this software super easy to interact with and use.
Nachteile
Prices are good but could be a little cheaper. While the unlimited backup is great there should be an option for people that only need to back up a smaller amount of backup needs.

Does what it says
It would not be my first choice to set this up. There are other options.
Vorteile
Once it is setup, it does run as intended and backups are available as intended. It is out of sight out of mind.
Nachteile
When it runs, it does slow down the pc. If it fails, we do have to reach out to support and then wait while they take over the pc.

Fast and Easy
I have been using Carbonite for the last 5 years and have experienced zero issues. Although I have not had to reinstall onto a computer. It backs up my data like a charm. NO complaints.

Vorteile
All your documents, all your photos, everything, all backed up right where you need them. It's a life saver. And I honestly couldn't be without it.
Nachteile
I honestly haven't found one. The price is reasonable, the solution is obvious, and it's saved me a heck of a lot of hassle retrieving files.

Carbonite - Rock Solid Solution
Carbonite's backup retention system has been a huge part of our company. From server backups to individual laptops, the information saved has allowed the IT dept to reformat end user laptops, pull down data and rollout new machines in a matter of hours, not days. The file retention all keeps us in compliance and with great uptimes and failover servers, Carbonite has thought of it all!

Good, easy to use
On the operational level I found nothing whatsoever to fault this program for. It is unobstrusive, running in the background, and when I needed to recover a dead laptop's data or earlier file versions it worked. Couldn't ask for more. When I needed customer support the responses were fast and useful.

Super easy to use
Carbonite is super easy to use and set up. Updates are automatic so no need to manual backups unless you want to. You can set up times for back up so that it doesn't run while you are trying to work.

Inconsistant back ups for some reason. It used to be automatic
Not certain when my last back up was. A bit worrisome. Alway need to ask our son to assist with support. Wothwhile product, just not sure why it has to be so complicated to use.
