xMatters product & support

This is a product that we use to support the business. We use it for notifying on call when problems or issues arise. I appreciate the support we get from the xMatters team anytime a question arises. Thank you.

Vorteile

I like the ease of use and the fact it let's me engage users I need to aware them of issues in a quick manner.

Nachteile

I'd like the logs to be able to extend out a quarter at the least and preferably 6 months. This is helpfully come mid-year and end of year reviews to rate response time from the on call people.

xMatter Rating

We use xMatter for paging. Seems to be a good overall application to use. xMatter support is great and works with us on customization to fit our needs.

Vorteile

Paging functionality for the most part. Easy to navigate screens.

Nachteile

From my experience, we had issues with limitations on how we can use it for events.

XMatters helps us with the things that matter

Overall the product has functioned as expected. We mainly use it to alert and notify our sales reps during market event of appointments.

Best alert system I've used

My XMatters Experience

We use Xmatters at our company for our ERT and SEMT notification. Xmatters is capable of supporting emergency mass notification to all site employees at the click of a button. I like the tracking feature where you can view live reports to know who and when your audience receives these communications. The conference Bridge (dedicated conference line) is another great feature and can be included in your message; stakeholders can be connected to the call with minimal keystrokes.
Customer support is a real plus and they guide you through the design and customization for your individual needs. Custom templates make this a very user-friendly application that is easy to use by your stakeholders.
Another plus is that you can send and monitor messages from either your laptop or your smartphone.

xMatters is a good product

As this is SaaS based, it was very easy to get setup. The mobile app is easy to install and use and works well. The product has good logging which has been useful when people indicate they didn't get notified, and we are able to identify the cause (e.g. they are setup for email only and wonder why they didn't get a call). As a standalone product, this is good. Integrations have been somewhat challenging and professional services disappointing in the time required to get things done.

Vorteile

Being SaaS-based, setup and maintenance of the product itself are effortless. This also provides availability regardless of the outages in your environment-a big plus.

Great customer support

I have worked with xMatters consulting and support over the last year very closely in implementing the On Demand version (switching from the On-Premise version of xMatters within our company. The Consulting resource who was on site assisting with the implementation was very knowledgeable and a great asset to have in guiding us through the process. The transition went smoothly and he has continued to provide support over the last year.

Additionally, I have opened up numerous support tickets over the past year and have gotten great assistance. Their knowledge and especially the response time is excellent. Many times they will respond with an answer within 30 minutes.

All of that being said my company is receiving many benefits from the xMatters product and look forward to our partnership in the future.

xMatters Review

We recently switched to xMatters from another mass notification program. xMatters is leaps and bounds ahead of other systems out there. The program is easy to use, and we love that we can create messages and pre-record them to execute on a moments notice. This has allowed us to improve our communication in different ways now that we can reach folks easily and efficiently. xMatters is a great tool!

xMatters! yes it matters.

Vorteile

I must say that in my opinion, the pro is also the con as this software has to go a long way to prove it's worth. It lacks those basics here and there which limits it from being a fine product.

Nachteile

As I mentioned above, the con and the pro are the same things, It is a software with great potential but it has a long way to go.

Easy to schedule on-call rotations

xMatters helps us easily setup an on-call rotation and gives us great alerting features.

Vorteile

xMatters makes it so easy to set up on call rotations, switch the schedule around if needed, and plan our support structure. It's alerting functionality has also been pretty seamless in my experience.

Nachteile

Getting some of the reporting/metrics aspects of it is a little unintuitive at times, but otherwise it's been great.

TTS quality

TTS quality can be inconsistent. So much so that we're looking for ways to minimize its use. It's not uncommon to receive complaints after a mass notifies from our internal user community including VIPs. We're continuing to work with support (high marks) to address.

Good tool for oncall support

It was a really good tool for collaborating people on the bridge in event of the crisis. Also, automatic alert notification delivery based on the schedule is a nice and very useful feature for any organization.

Vorteile

One of the easy tool to use for the notification system. It does alert notifications flawlessly. Also feature to invite multiple people to the bridge is very good. Whether you want to call them automatically or manually it is a nice feature. Learning this tools is not that hard. It has most of the features that it's competitor provides.

Nachteile

Cost compare to the competitor was high. Especially when active users on the system is large. Reporting can be improved a bit. The Mobile app doesn't have all features that Web UI provides.

Great Customer Support!!

xMatters really has a great customer support. I receive response within no time. Keep up the good work.
Feature wise also lot of new functionalities have been implemented. Havnet got a chance to review everything but will definitely take a look.
Some folks at the organization still find it hard to use. If there is a video guide to various functionalities, it would be very beneficial.

Satisfied xMatters User

The District of Columbia had an issue with on-call responsiveness and incident remediation. With xMatters, the District of Columbia was able to cut the on-call response times to less than 5 minutes, as opposed to 15-20 minutes. Also on average engineers are able to recognize and remediate an incident well below our set MTTR. I would recommend that all businesses that require detailed scheduling and on-call look towards this product because it was simple to set up and deploy.

xMatters - Easy to use

xMatters communication tool is simple to load (via the app) or use via the web and easy to train others on for use if you have teams in the field, other offices, etc. I've used multiple tools in this realm and this ranks up there with the others, if not even better for ease of use.

We have been using (x)Matters for some time now and could not have selected a better product! Everything from managing our Information Technology on-call schedules, Emergency notifications, integrated systems and the simply amazing support have all been a pleasure.

Arla xMatters training

Went to London for the launchpad training. The course was very well planned and it gave me a great insight in what the system is able to do. I am very positive, and I have a good feeling that this will be an extremely useful solution for Arla in the future.

Simple Tool With Great Potential

Since we have not yet taken full use of the system I can only go by what I have experienced so far.
The application holds a lot of functionality that is likely to ease some of the work we put into finding the right recipients for the right information. The fact that we can create subscriptions based on form properties will have great influence on our daily operations

xMatters On Demand

Moving from an On Premis version to On Demand has been a great leap. There is so much flexibility with the tool which has enabled us to manage the current On Call scenario more easily and enabled the business to communicate more effectively with their customers. The added benefit of ease of integrating has allowed us to create a more simple seamless solution to the business.

xMatters Communication

We use xMatters for major incident management communication as well as on call support team engagement. The product is easy to use with multi-channel communication streams to meet all end users needs. Form building is quite easy and pleasing to the eye with the use of HTML and embedded gif files. Communication forms can be pre-populated to minimize the keystrokes necessary for the sender for quick notification. xMatters support is great, with a dedicated Client Success Manager and 24 X 7 engineers.

Broad Application, Attention to detail

While building a rapid notification system for a health system with 14 hospitals, 25000 employees, and multiple clinic locations, I have found that xMatters provides me with the attention to detail to insure prompt, correct notifications coupled with ease of set up. We are engaging xMatters to enable our transition to plain language emergency announcements, away from the traditional "color" codes.

Good Product.

The integration between HP Service Manger and xMatters Cloud solution allows us to do custom notifications - Over all this has been a good experience. The only issues this past year have been with the many updates to the xMatters App and the iOS 10 operating system.

3rd Emergency Notification System we have used

I work for a major Fortune 50 company in the last 10 years we have tried 3 different systems.
We have found that xMatters have great customer support and the staff has been very helpful.
The user interface is easy to use and the mobile app is also very easy to use. While no system is perfect I give them 4 stars.

Vorteile

Easy to use. The mobile app allows sending of messages. The speed of the interface is much better than previous products we have used.

Nachteile

Overall reporting is good. There are a few reports I'd like to see added.

Great Customer Service!

xMatters has amazing customer service! Whenever we have an issue they are right there to fix it and work with us and around our schedules. They have made good upgrades to the system to help fit our needs and hopefully benefit their other users. They are fairly priced and make the system very user friendly that training takes almost no time at all.

Hands down the best platform in this space

Excellent tool

Earlier it was always a night mare to keep track of who is the support person and whom to reach out but xMatter life became simple , it is one single tool that maintains all the information about the groups , individuals their contacts and most importantly it will automatically rotate the on-call of the team automatically. I strongly recommend this tool if you want to avoid all hurdles in your day to day support activities .

Great product, great value.

xMatters has given us the flexibility to create on call rotations as well as blast notifications that ensure we never miss an alert or notification. The mobile app is a nice surprise. It is handy, accessible and is easy to configure. All in all, this is a great tool that really helps our business stay on top of problems, quickly and effectively...and it's really easy to use which is always a plus.

Rick's review

Love the product hate the cost. Takes some time to get familiar with how to setup groups and schedules but once you have it down its set and forget. The reporting needs a lot of help sadly and being on their cloud not having logs hurts as well. Needing to trend data that only goes back 30 days and no API to extract the data is not beneficial.

No regrets!

We had quite a few options on our purchase of a tool to help facilitate notifications - from our research xMatters was a clear choice. They have really started to enable a lot of integration content through self-help which I really like a lot.
