One of the most efficient translation tool
I'm pretty happy with Crowdin. Although the free plan is a bit limited, the platform is well-thought-out and works very well. It allows you to be efficient without too much configuration, whether you're an individual or a large company.
Vorteile
An efficient, community-friendly tool that allows any team to get helped to translate any projects. The UI is great and efficient !
Nachteile
The cost might be high, and the free plan is very limited. Some documentation is missing on some points, such as integrations

My overall experience with Crowdin is very good, as I have gained knowledge in Tamil Grammar, which Amazon, Bing and Google never teach. It is the only platform which teaches grammar in Tamil while translating (when there is a grammar mistake. It tells exactly just like Tamil Pandit.
Vorteile
I improved my translation becoz I have learned a lot fro Crowdin particularly in Grammar and Spell Check.Crowdin is a great platform for those who wants to keep the translation services as their career, that too free of cost. The more assignments you do the more refined your translation.
Nachteile
Once in a while, the translator who does the review free of cost, crowdin should send a note appreciating the time spent by them. I never have received any such mail, except this one.

Useful for everyone
I have started using Crowdin few years back to help translate so many apps to my native language and make it more easy-to-use then. Since then I started to love this because of its easy, clear and fast using among all the projects, translations etc. I dont like other services that are used for translating to be honest! This is 10/10!

I really love listing all the translations as a one, because some other webs that devs are using for translations, have all in one strings, which is annoying and finding new ones is even more annyoing there. Here in crowdin? Easy and fast. Also searching new or old strings is fast and easy, too!

I have found anything bad about Crowdin to be honest.

Great Collaboration Tool for Translators
Vorteile
Crowdin sends email messages with links that take me directly to the new strings needing translated. It’s very easy to communicate and collaborate with the team if I have questions or notes for them.
Nachteile
As an end user, I would like to be able to find recent strings I reviewed. Once I’ve translated a group of strings and delete the email with the link, I can never find that group of strings again (unless someone comments and I get another email). Perhaps a dashboard section could be added that has links to the most recent strings reviewed.

Easy translation of a lot of text sources into other language
Good work when comparing especially with direct text string translation by other software developers I use to translate from English into Slovak language.
Vorteile
For translator database and machine translation as both of them are saving work for translator.
Nachteile
Sometimes it is not clear how to translate special characters, various types of line break and spaces. Also it is not always clear what is limit length for translation as many times it is longer than English source. Sometimes is missing context of the translation.

Ease of use and fast to deploy your localization for anything
I have been translating in Crowdin since 2017, working on many Minecraft-related projects ranging from game mods, websites, and the game itself which has two separate projects by now - Minecraft Game and Minecraft Launcher. Since 2019, I am working as a lead proofreader for Brazilian Portuguese there and it has been one of my most important localization experiences as I am also a language teacher and certified linguist in my country.
Vorteile
Certainly one of the most inviting and exciting things about Crowdin is the ease of use, anyone can create an account and start contributing to a whole lot of projects based on their interests, using a well-made MT and impactful features in the Editor like the spellcheck and syntax highlighting. Generally, Crowdin has been even faster throughout the years, and it's another major feature: not every localization platform is fast and optimized enough, but Crowdin is.
Nachteile
I just have one small dislike about Crowdin: It's not currently possible to delete private messages.

The best translation platform
I'm using Crowdin to translate LineageOS in Romanian. Gigantic project. Crowdin just makes it so easy to translate it. When I have something to translate, I'll get an email to get informed about it. I can see the progress on the Romanian translation, what strings I need to translate and I can save each translation very easily.
Vorteile
The UI, the features and the user experience are the best features you can have on Crowdin.
Nachteile
There used to be a fast approve translation button which is no longer available or is hidden somewhere.

API, upon release of the site we can just upload files to Crowdin, and fetch the latest translations.
Nachteile
The pricing is actually expensive for us. And yet we still have a plan that hasn't existed for years. We have community translators that translates for free. But it's not even a hundred strings per year. And for that, the price is quite expensive.

Perfect tool to work on multilingual contents
You can work concurrently. This is one of the most significant needs; undoubtedly, Crowdin is at its best. The software can be translated located at a time. It does gives the completion status and you don't need followups.
Vorteile
I can list many. The best part is Auto suggestions from the previous content or from other sources. You don't have to translate the repetitive words or sentences again. It will suggest the right words accordingly. And it checks grammatical mistakes even in secondary languages like Tamil from India.
Nachteile
Nothing big on the downside. The search function could have been better, and the web page is dull. Please include some interactive and vibrant colors. Navigating to a previous page could have been better/

Crowdin is one of the best (if not the best) platforms for translating your projects
The overall experience all these years as user and contributor to many different translation projects has been great. I haven't used the Crowdin platform professionally but I'm sure it will be great from what I've seen. I'm sure that if there is a need for translating a software project this will be my number one choice. All this coming from someone who isn't native English speaking (I'm Greek).
Vorteile
The ease of use, the suggested translations, the integrated discussion per project, the easy navigation and most of all the lightweight web interface.
Nachteile
That it doesn't yet support that many languages for the User Interface. It currently has 19 languages and I hope it supports more in the neat future.

Vorteile
Allowed us to tap into translators that we couldn't find translators for (Te Reo Maori) to help translate parts of the website. The system allowed us to easily upload and download yaml files. It allowed us to upload screenshots of the translations in use to help the translators. Another benefit is that we can open it up to our community to also help with the translations.
Nachteile
No cons from my end, we did enough benefit analysis beforehand to make sure that Crowdin did what we needed it to do.

Incredibly versatile, always ready to go
Vorteile
Crowdin is, by far, my favorite CAT platform. It's fast, reliable and it still amazes me how well it adapts from a 27 inch screen PC with a wired Internet connection to a smartphone using a data plan when riding a train. It just works.
Nachteile
The one feature I would like to see is user-controlled auto propagation for repeated strings. I still have to do it manually, and it can take quite some time depending on the project.

Terminology is easy to keep consistent when you can check your earlier solutions.
Vorteile
Translation memory and suggestions. You can use it on multiple platforms. Changing translations too complicated in Enterprise version, the old one has to be deleted to apply the new one and you easily forget and overlook that.

A good product to get both CES and CSAT

Easy to set up new flows, as we evaluate several processes separately and start it based on events, it is very important for us that we don't spend too much time implementing the evaluation of the new processes using CES.

Crowdin is probably the best service for product localisation
I have worked with Crowdin from several angles, both as a translator and as a project administrator.

Mostly very decent
I'm merely using it as an end-user and I do feel like it benefits me to easily contribute to translations and also to keep things tight with team management.
Vorteile
Team management is good. Free-for-all, like on Weblate, doesn't always lead to better translation. In fact, it usually leads to worse translations. So having teams is important. I also like the keyboard shortcuts, translation editing capabilities and the easy-to-reach-and-use comment section in the editor.
Nachteile
The site and editor are a bit difficult to navigate at times, requiring a few too many clicks. And a few features are a bit hidden out of view. Furthermore, the translation editor needs a better untranslated filter, maybe one that solely focuses on the untranslated strings instead of having it blend it with the already translated strings.

Great for open source projects

We use crowdin for the translations of our geocaching open source app GCWizard. Easy too use for the community and for our programmers also with the up- and download.
Nachteile
Proofreading has an issue with page switching, but it's not a big deal. Everything else is fine for us.

For a translation platform that combines user-friendliness, collaboration, powerful features, and exceptional support, look no further than Crowdin.
Vorteile
For the long time that I used Crowdin, either to help translate and approve countless strings on projects such as Minecraft, GitLab or Discord, I never had a major complaint over the years, since 2017. Crowdin takes the cake with its user-friendly interface, robust features, and exceptional support. I will indeed reinforce the whole website interface, the layout is intuitive and clean, making it easy for both project managers and translators to navigate without any steep learning curve.
