I used Google Voice because we have free calling within US. Google Voice is really good because we have integration with Google Workspace and voicemail transcription which helped me a lot.
Nachteile
Would be nice if Google Voice improve in terms of international calling. Sometimes I had quality issues in the calls. And lack of advanced features.

I love the fact that I could use Google Voice as a spare number for business or any other interactions that I do not want to give my personal number.

I love the fact that it's a free product and that you can connect to any device without the impact of caring a spare device when needed.

Well it's easy to use this because you just sign up using your own phone number, then it gives you another number. I hated giving out my personal number for my business to strangers so this makes me feel better.
Nachteile
I haven't used it that long to see any cons. But it would be nice to put this on my daughters phones without having another number to provide just for them to call me.

Extra phone number
Vorteile
Good way to add another phone line or use on its own. I signed in with my Google account and not much else was required to get set up. I like having a separate phone number because I get a lot of people calling me wanting consultations. Some spam and prank calls get in the mix plus I'm not always available so it's great to have something other than my personal phone number.
Nachteile
Google has good customer service but reaching them for Google Voice it takes way longer for some reason. That needs to be fixed since phone lines are something we need working right always.

Good value for the service
Vorteile
Easy to setup forward calls to other devices. Having the Do Not Disturb is a great feature too.Using the google voice page makes it easy to do texts! Very handy when typing a lot of information.

For the type of calls and management we use it for, we don't have any negative comments towards it.It has been very helpful and extremely cheap compared to other services

Si utilizas el ecosistema de Google quizás sea una opción más que válida ya que se integra muy bien con todos los sistema de Google. Realiza bastante bien las funciones para las que fue creado y de manera bastante sencilla. La vinculación con Gmail es estupenda y si tienes email en Gmail es lo que te recomiendo si necesitas este tipo de programas.

Me ha parecido muy fácil de usar. Es útil el reconocimiento de voz para escribir perfectamente lo que hablo. Puedes enviar mensajes de texto, llamadas, registros de las mismas, bloquear, filtrar, etc. Tiene infinidad de prestaciones, como si de una centralita telefónica se tratara. Muy sencillo y fácil de manejar que se integra muy bien con el ecosistema de Google. Tiene un plan gratuito
Nachteile
Algunas veces se entrecortan los mensajes recibidos pero esto entiendo que es algo puntual porque no pasa siempre. También si realizas un desvío de llamada a tu otro número puede que se llegue a perder pero no tengo muchas pruebas para comparar si es algo casual o un fallo general.

Perfect solution for low budget
Overall, Google Voice has been very beneficial because if I get a call it's transferred to my cell phone, and I'll receive an email notification too.

The best feature about Google Voice for me is when it announces every call. In the administrative field this is essential, so to have all my calls announced, I get to choose which one I'll take or send to voicemail. Also, when I prefer or can't take a call, I can hear the caller leaving a voicemail message. The voicemail message is transcribed by Google Voice, and I find that to be a great feature.
Nachteile
One day, I was on Google Voice, and it started to record my conversation unaware. To be honest, it startled me and my caller. We were trying to figure out how it happened. I'm not sure if it was activated by a specific word or if my face pressed against a button.

Love Google voice!
Even the Vice President of Marketing and Sales has a Google Voice Number. Both the Google Chrome website and the iPhone app are used by us. For convenience, I even created a desktop application that I can use from a separate icon on my toolbar. We endorse it wholeheartedly and use it frequently.

Long Time User!
The single number forwarding to many people's phones I use at work. The white listing of calls and forwarding to my VOIP device I use at home. The voicemail dictation to email I use at both! When my father passed away, I ported-in (for a $20 fee) his cellphone to a Google Voice account so now whenever out-of-touch friends and business partners might call, they get a message of his passing and not need paying his cellphone bill. So much more too!
Vorteile
It's a hugely useful, and mostly Free, product which really help out with communication in both my business and private life with so many functions. It's a swiss army knife of communication. It's great!
Nachteile
Occasionally they will change the way the systems works and it 'breaks' my somewhat complicated setups and will have to figure out, "Ok... what changed... how can I get it to do what it did before?"... but I can't complain too much... it's great and basically free.

Protects Privacy And Free 10/10
My experiences with Google voice have been great regardless of what I said above for cons. For someone who is worried about privacy reasons, the service is a great tool to utilize.

Also the service is free, anyone can join right now and get a phone number.

One of the things I at least like about Google Voice is the number of phone numbers available. Although Google Voice offers phone numbers to anyone that wishes to utilize Google Voice, there is a limited amount of phone numbers available. Due to there being a limited amount of phone numbers available, you have to constantly use the phone number from Google Voice, or else you risk losing that phone number. I lost one phone number from Google Voice.

Amazing phone software that is very convenient and easy to use

Google Voice is an amazing phone calling service that can be downloaded as an app on a phone and easily used. I prefer using Google Voice because of its simplicity and the many features it possesses. I find calling different people on Google Voice to be a very simple task. The cost associated with Google Voice is very reasonable and probably lower than other carriers and is therefore a very money saving option. Some of my favourite features are how Google Voice can switch your voice message into a written message to the reciever. Another great feature is that you can call multiple people at the same time. The quality of Google Voice is good most of the time and therefore is highly recommended. You don't need much experience with technology to be able to figure out how to use Google Voice.
Nachteile
Google Voice will occasionally crash but this has only happened twice to me when I was in very cold weather. I have been used Google Voice for a while now and I am very pleased with the services and features it provided.

Find your voice with Google Voice.
Overall it was great. It was primarily a tool for my business to use. We keep overhead low by not using office phones, plus after the pandemic we primarily work remotely. So no need for an office phone. This can replace that in many aspects.

How easy it was to use with marketing campaigns. Our company would establish Google voice numbers so our cell phones were not inundated with calls. It allowed our [sensitive content hidden] to efficiently run campaigns. We could also have certain calls routed to our cell phones as well.
Nachteile
It's a wonderful platform now. When it first came out it was a bit clunky and I would often have issues. It was also limited in its functionality. As it improved over the year it got MUCH better. I may begin using it more for my personal phone service.

usable but needs improvment
the problem of having to use my cell to respond to incoming calls and then have people be able to contact me directly is solved by google voice. it works fairly well overall but there is room to improve the app
Vorteile
its nice to be able to have a second number to link to your phone without giving out your regular cell number.
Nachteile
it would be nice it you could switch between phone numbers fluidly and select multiple number to silent/ voicemail at a time easy toggling between them would be great

Disappointed
Disappointed.
Vorteile
I loved the idea that I could turn off my work phone and use a Google Voice number for my pet sitting clients to reach me in case of an emergency.
Nachteile
Please stop making it difficult to keep the number. I was able to reclaim my number the 1st time it was deleted and the second time I was not. It's disappointing. I understand that you send out an email notifying users, however your emails get lost in the spam and junk mail.

VoIP Specialist
I love that a Google Voice account is quite easy to set up.
Vorteile
Google Voice is arguably the best VoIP out there, with it's user-friendly interface, and unlimited calls and texts.
Nachteile
It's heartbreaking that there is no free trial for business plans, and advance reporting is only available on the Premier Plan

Google Voice Rocks!
Vorteile
Google Voice is secure and very safe. It’s efficient and fast.
Nachteile
Every once in a while it crashes. But the support is very helpful. Sometimes it takes some time to navigate.
