Not having access to 3 way calling is inconvenient as sometimes as an IT support person I need to get the support reps from other companies on a call with our end users.

Honestly the thing I like most about Google Voice is the price. We use it as an alternate business line so that leads and potential clients can call into us without having to use a personal phone number, or pay for another line. They assign you a number, which is really great! The interface of the software and app is also very nice and clean, as you'd typically find with any Google software!

Nachteile

The cons to Google Voice tend to be that a lot of calls get dropped and sometimes I have trouble answering the phone cleanly. Definitely a major downside, but again being that it's free, it's hard to complain. If you have a strong internet connection it should be serviceable and once connected, the calls are generally clear.

It costs nothing to get a voice line you can use for your business instead of your regular mobile phone. It transcribes voicemails quite well -- enough that I often don't even listen to the recording because I get the gist of what the person is saying anyway.

It's interface is pretty bad. When you receive images it reverts to MMS and terrible quality. I usually switch to another app to send or receive photos.

I need an easy to use app to call my psychotherapy clients from a number that is not my personal cellphone but can also receive calls and messages on my personal cellphone - the google voice app does just that. I use another number to make calls or send text messages but still receive calls on my personal cellphone. Google Voice is user friendly.

I wish I could choose the area code for my number, I was given an area code from another state and sometimes my clients think my call is spam and they do not answer.

The service was reliable and had good audio quality. I was always able to place or receive calls and voice mails would usually arrive promptly. I liked being able to set my preferences to using wifi instead of my cellular data. Being able to choose what the caller sees protected my privacy which was an important feature to me.

Nachteile

The software would glitch every so often and had to restart a call or refresh the application. Additionally, I would sometimes get a voice mail later than expected, since it didn't push a notification to my iPhone. Overall, I had very few complaints as most were normal glitches any tech user encounters.

This app has saved me a lot of time and energy!! If you need a number for your business this is a cheap option that doesn't skimp on features. It's easy and fast to create an account. It integrates with other Google apps like Google Calendar and Google Meet. They even offer a free option that works great for really small businesses. You get unlimited calls and texts. There is even an option to record calls and saves them within the app. The voice recognition feature is extremely accurate. You can have multiple people take turns answering calls coming into the same number which is one of the coolest features!! Great option for small businesses and entrepreneurs!!

The phone number will be deleted if the app is not frequently used.

This offers a limited amount of local numbers. It heavily depends on the Wifi without it might get a bit sloppy. One thing I would like to improve is the call menus therefore there can be a structured call flow menu for my clients.

What I like most about this service is that while it is absolutely free to use, it works just as good as a paid service would work, and I would know well because I used one in the past. I also like the fact that the phone quality is great while you are speaking to someone, and text message conversations can be held without any lag/delay between receiving and sending messages, which is great. Overall, this is a very neat tool to have if and when you need an additional phone number to call and text.

If I had to choose one thing I did not like about this software, it is the fact that an internet connection must be used in order for it to function. If you do not have an active internet connection, you would have to wait until you do have one in order to see which calls and texts you missed out on. Other than that one aspect, there is not much else to not like about this software.

I like the most about Google Voice is that it has an excellent call quality. It assigns you a personal number and you can call for free all over in USA or from another country to USA. A subscription can also be taken to call internationally which I was frequently using in Hangouts but I will be using this feature of Voice as well in future.

It asks you to select a region for assigning a number. I feel that for a beginner, it can be a little tricky. I think Voice should auto-detect the location and assigns a number automatically based on it. I hope they improve on that in future. Other than that, I like everything that Voice offers.

I use the Web and mobile app and have never had any issues. That said, it's user support (online) is somewhat limited, and configuration will require an investment in time to learn and apply all the capabilities.

I love the fact that I can get my calls on multiple devices. I also like that my voicemail and messages are backed up on my email. I also like that you can record calls, it comes handy with meetings that I might need to refer to in the future. The audio quality is pretty awesome too!

Google Voice was a great product to use as our first texting platform. It's free, connected to a Google account, and easily accessible from a desktop or mobile device. For a small volume of correspondence, appointment confirmations, and periodic check ins, Google Voice was an excellent choice for our small nonprofit organization.

Google Voice was created to be a personal text line, and limits what you can do if you use it in any other capacity. You can not set any away messages, auto replies, and if multiple people are accessing the text line, you can't see if anyone is texting the same person at the same time, causing some confusion. As our needs grew to now reach groups of donors, other organizations, and clients, we outgrew the helpfulness of Google Voice and have since moved on.

Google Voice is FREE. But more importantly it provides a way to manage our phone calls, voice mail, emails, and forwarding calls when away.

We use the Google Voice number for all of our Marketing. We have changed VOiP providers several times without having to change our phone number as it was linked to Google Voice. We just forwarded the calls to the new number provided by our VOiP providers.

For a Free service, I have no complaints. The software improved over the 9 years we used it. It improved on providing accurate conversion of Voice to Text that was sent to our email system.

Cannot use own recording for IVR, must use the robot voice for text to speech. Cannot dial out using main phone number because it is assigned to the IVR. Cannot receive texts at this number either, they just vanish and we are never notified of them and cannot see them.

It provides services like voicemail transcription that i found very useful. Also it is very convenient to use and connect on all devices whether it be my phone tablet of laptop. Call screening feature is also one of the things that i frequently use and found very useful.

The thing I like the most about Google Voice is that I can use it on my laptop all day long making calls and talking to customers without worrying about my already stressed out WiFi crashing in the middle of a call and I can use a great wired headset for super clear sound. Great if you spend the day on the phone.

The thing I like least about Google Voice is that I cannot see names or save profile pictures for my contacts. I would love to save my clients name and numbers so I can recognize them when they call.

I like most about this software is that it is user friendly and easy to use. Aside from this, it allows me to text and call in unlimited way and it is easy to set up account. There is also voice mail transcription which I like the most. Also the call forwarding is reliable.

Some of the cons of this software is that there is no toll free numbers from the callers and no built in for team messaging but over all the software is amazingly helpful and useful especially when you don't have enough balance for your prepaid card.

Google Voice does a lot of things. I do not fully utilize it. It is the best voicemail transcription apps that I have found. I rarely have to listen to my voicemail messages and just read them. Being able to have an extra phone number to give out is a godsend. The cost of international calls form Google voice is extremely competitive.

I recently had a hard time using it while on a trip to Germany. It has always worked well for me in the past as an affordable way to keep in contact with people back home during my international travels. I am now worried that I can no longer depend on the calling aspects of it.

Call screening seems to only work if they are calling your google voice number and not your primary.

Google Voice is a great way to add a second telephone line to your cell phone. You even have to option of choosing the sequence of numbers so that you get a number that works for you. Best of all they offer some of the cheapest rates when it comes to making international calls. It also will automatically transcribe all of your voicemails for you.

Because this is VoIP you do need to ensure that you have a strong data connection in order for it to work, so it may not be the best solution to use Internationally if you have to pay for data.

Voice is very easy to use across all devices. It has great functionality: calls, texts, voicemail, contact depository. You can record different outgoing messages for different groups of people. I also like that you can set Voice up to notify you via e-mail when a call, voicemail or text has arrived. Voice has features that I haven't yet explored.

I basic function that works only occasionally is making voicecalls using Voice from my computer and tablet. In addition, when I make calls from any device, the person who receives the call often has to contend with that maddening echo. Voice tends to be bandwidth sensitive and I don't have the broadest bandwidth.

When forwarding to your cell phone, I wish there was a way to easily call back using the standard phone system instead of having to go through the app. It's probably unrealistic and involves far more in the telephony world than I understand, but it would be nice. I wish iOS allowed a more seamless integration as you can either have Google Voice forward the number that called as caller ID (meaning you can't tell what's coming through as a google voice number or not) or just use your own google voice number as the caller ID (meaning you can't tell the phone number of the person calling without using the app.

For those situations, Google Voice is a great way to set up an alternative number that can be forwarded to your phone. You can text, make and receive calls from it. It is very easy to use.

The most appealing aspect of Google Voice is the ability to create a different phone number that is linked to your phone number for free! This free service allows the ability to organize contacts, message clients, and manage calls and voicemails individually and as a group. Also, having another phone number linked to your personal number allows a new solely used to business transactions lets say, creating more privacy and customization to messagings and calls.

The least appealing aspect of Google Voice is ease of usage. With this, it is easy for people to steal your phone number and use your personal number to further voice plushing and so on. The security measures for Google Voice should be revamped to prevent people with ill intent from scamming using google Voice.

I've been using Google Voice for my business needs for about 4 years, since my business is still young, it is not feesable to pay for a 1-800 number, so Google Voice has been my go to solution! It helps me keep all of my calls seperated, and offers a way to connect my business to customers who need to reach me!

The only problem I had using this is when I first used google voice, it was connected to my cell phone line, I would have to seperate my calls by telling it if I wanted to use google voice or not, this slowed me down, and there was no distinction in the ringtones so the only way was to answer the call.. Since then, I added gv to my tablet, PROBLEM SOLVED...

What DON'T I love about Google Voice? I just love how easy it is to use. The phone app never fails and it keeps my personal number private.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about Google Voice! Your phone can only be attached to one Google Voice number at a time but that hasn't been a problem for me at all.
