eMaint... meh.
It works, but it does not seem like a very user-friendly or efficient product. Would happily look for other options if that were within my purview.
Vorteile
It is adequate. The fact that we have it is better than not having anything at all.
Nachteile
The system is clunky. It's very technical and setting it up or modifying it has a very high learning curve. Not really user friendly.

our experience with EMaint
Search options are great. But for a fast-paced and international service company, they were not able to deliver everything they promised.
Vorteile
It does have major sorting features, which were not available with our previous software. We are a service/repair company needing to consolidate to a single software to handle work order mgmt, asset mgmt, inventory mgmt, purchasing mgmt, etc. Being able to quickly sort and locate an item is a major plus.
Nachteile
We were hurried through the implementation process, and other than the initial call and giving you a few days, there was little or scattered help and customizing the software. After purchasing the software and implementation, they essentially tell you to watch some videos and have fun setting it up yourself. We have had the software for over a year and are still not able to fully utilize it for our company. We still having to use our previous software while crippling along trying to get some use out of this software and the mobile app, while still trying to get main features set up and fine-tuning others. Not that we haven't had any assistance at all. But it's back-and-forth emails that sometimes get answered and sometimes do not, and a lot of them not understanding your requests, and sometimes situations never getting handled at all. If you are looking for a company that will work to make sure your software is functioning to your liking, this is sadly not it.

its just fair, accepting reality that this is the software we had.

What I've noticed, you keep on calling the IT people to help you do this do that and so on. It's not really a friendly user, You need to call IT to help you fix something that is too small and supposedly easy. It seems that they controlled everything. which is not good

poor, no one takes the time to help you.

not much it has been dismal and expensive to set up
Nachteile
They claim easy of use and we paid for set up services....the reports don't work any time you contact support you get read this article then come back. It should be let us walk you through how to set it up.

Vorteile
eMaint tracks the data needed to make good decisions. The user interface is highly customizable. I have used many CMMS systems this is definitely not the worst.
Nachteile
The graphical user interface misses many of the features taken for granted by users such as putting your cursor into the search box you just opened. There is not logic to the flow of the forms presented. Tab order does not skip irreverent widgets. You have to perform many useless / wasted steps to process your work orders. The software relies on end users to perform much of the tedious tasks that you wish the computer could do for you. Two thirds of our data entry time is due to wasted steps.
This software exports three file formats and imports three file formats. The import can not read any of the formats exported. On import most of the field names exported can not be recognized by this software.

Good until you try to customize it
Overall, I probably would not choose eMaint again as our CMMS
Vorteile
eMaint has a lot of built in modules that allow you to use it for your entire maintenance and purchasing team. The work order and purchasing management modules are quite powerful.
Nachteile
Unfortunately if you have eMaint customize your system at all (which they are very happy to do for a charge), the system becomes very complicated and clumsy.

Functional and Useful, But Needs Many Improvements
It's been good in that it's been functional. I wish that eMaint offered personnel that can help the implementation process to gather data from plant equipment manuals on manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules.

I appreciate the new user interface and it's useful functions
Nachteile
I least like how inexperienced the customer support team is on certain tasks. For example for a long time certain support staff told me that you couldn't have a field that populates the Asset Description into the PM form. Later a support staff made it happen. Just wish it wouldn't have waited so long.

Expensive and we are not used often this outdated platform software, it is only being used as an asset database
Vorteile
I used it because it was used by a large company for stability and software.
The only purpose to use E-maint is to keep multiple buildings and tons of physical asset database
Nachteile
There seems to be a lot of inconvenience to users. For example the Work order tools, it is too complicated to use on a daily basis. the platform is outdated compared to Limble, Monday, and Upkeep

Poor
Sales told us everything we wanted to hear and then tech told us different after investing in the product.
Vorteile
Confighrabikty seems good if we ever have a chance to properly customize
Nachteile
Implementation was expensive and rushed
We are a small company and by the time the weekly implementation meeting came we had not had a chance to use the system enough to get any value
Requests to slow the implementation were met with an inflexible corporate attitude leaving us unprepared to properly use this software.

We have implemented emaint to track our asset history. This is benificial in seeing where we spend most of our time. By creating WO types we can report on the amount of time spent on preventative vs unplanned maintenance etc. We have added our own custom field on the WO (error code( to help assist the technicians in troubleshoot that same exact error in the future.

customization, tailored to you needs, easily tracked parts, asset history and WO history. reports and dashboards are handy
Nachteile
lack of serialized inventory, even though we created a work around i do not feel its quite as effective.

Several issues with process flow

I like the product, however when they sell you the "Self Starter" package i believe it's under stated how little help you can get from the company.
