Outstanding OCR capabilities are expertise of ABBYY Finereader PDF.Compatible with other documents tools , Especially MS office.Accurate conversion of files, consist of tables , figures and other similar data.Very easy interface, organizing documents in pages is very quick.Editing E signature to protect files is also helpful for me.

Nachteile

ABBYY Fine reader PDF is bit pricey among other PDF Editors.Sometimes it freeze during loading Large Documents.

The suite of features is far more expansive than my other PDF related products. The document management, document conversion, digital signatures, and the giant array of supported file types made this an easy choice for me. Especially when I started using it and realized that the UI was intuitive and top notch!

Nachteile

There is not a lot I dislike about it. I think the only part that was a little difficult was getting the digital signature process set up how I wanted it to be in my workflow. It was the only area in the application that I really had to do some looking up to see how to get the most out of it.

When we open the Abby always doesn’t enter the license .I’m blind and it’s more dificult to use now.The message that appears when open is “the service of license is not available “

I am thrilled by the OCR capabilities of ABBYY FineReader PDF. It instantly converts PDF to word, excel, etc.

Nachteile

There were some low quality images in PDF which need extra time to convert plus the OCR results can be improved.

This is an amazing piece of software for handling large amount of scanned documents. When it's working it's probably 5x-10x faster than Adobe Acrobat DC in recognizing text. Customer support is also very responsive.

Nachteile

It often runs out of memory on larger documents, regardless of how much free memory your PC has. This usually happening above 1,000 pages. I think the issue is that this is a 32bit software and cant address memory of over 4GB, but somehow Adobe could manage the same on 32bit (but of course Adobe is much slower). This could be quite annoying when you scanned in 1000+ pages and unable to save the file, not fun starting it again the scanning. We have tried the tips from customer support but it wont help.
The workaround is to scan smaller documents and use Acrobat or similar to combine them.
Basically you need both Acrobat and Finereader for a good setup, what is a shame cause otherwise Finereader is really great.

File management, file conversion, file sharing, lightning fast, no lock ups, no glitches, smooth, professional, really makes my job so much easier. It gives me an edge over others for sure. I could not function without ABBYY Fine Reader. Keep it going. I would pay quite a bit more (Shhh)

A little slow as a pdf reader, but that does not concern or bother me that much.

I was very surprised to see how well it could extract text from pictures of magazines (multiple columns, images, text boxes…). I particularly liked the feature where you can draw the shape on top of the picture to indicate where is the text, where are images or other objects. From there, you have your editable text pretty easily.

Nachteile

it is a paid license, but it worths if you find yourself constantly transforming paper into digital documents that must be accessible on the web.

I bought Abbyy to use as an OCR for volunteer work but it turned out to be so much more. It’s become my default PDF viewer as well. I love the ability to add and delete pages to any PDF.

Nachteile

I really haven’t found anything I’m not happy with.

I like the most with abbyy is that the functionalty. I scan the pages with its OCR function and i loved the watermarking of it.

sometimes i had problem when i used the digital signature but then i resolved the problem, i think it is tolerable.
