One of the best IDE
It is one of the best IDEs on the market for project development in Java or Kotlin.
Vorteile
This app offers many useful functionalities such as: supplementing the source code, formatting, graphical display, excellent debugging, split screen, integrated GIT, searching everywhere in the app and many others. I also praise the very well-tuned dark mode. As a programmer, it is easy to use.
Nachteile
For large projects it is slowed down, compiling and indexing the project sometimes takes an extremely long time. Very rarely it got stuck so that I had to kill the program.

Fantastic IDE for Development
Vorteile
While I was doing my undergrad, I had to learn Java and pick between two IDEs: Eclipse and ItelliJ. ItelliJ wins hands down over Eclipse every time. It was quite simple to use and helped me learn Java quickly. One of the numerous features that helped me save time was the debugger and refactoring.
Nachteile
The IDE might consume a lot of resources. I would not recommend it to anyone with old hardware.

An amazing IDE for Java Development
Vorteile
During my time in college learning Java, there were two IDE I could choose, Eclipse and ItelliJ. I would choose ItelliJ over Eclipse any day of the week. It was really intuitive and help me learn Java really quick. The debugger and the refactoring features were one of the many features that helped me save time.
Nachteile
The IDE can be really resource-intensive. I had a quite a powerful laptop but it would still sometimes slow it down. Would not recommend it to people with old hardwares.

Since the day I started my IT degree I have used many IDEs for those years. I can say that intellij idea is the best developer supportive IDE I found among all of them.
Vorteile
IDE can be integrated with multiple frameworks like hibernate, spring and android. I mainly do spring boot development and so that I'm using this every day for my office works and my personal studies as well. This supports build tools like maven and gradle, different languages, plugins and tools.
Nachteile
This consume considerable amount of resources and that's the only thing I see as a drawback.

Famous among developers
At present this is the most used and demanded IDE backend developers. I love the feature set and couldn't find something better than this.
Vorteile
Intellij supports a wide range of plugins like sonar lint, lombok, junit and git and docker. Those can be installed from plugin marketplace according to the preference. It has multiple build tools gradle, maven and ant and I mostly use maven with intellij. Most important thing is it supports spring boot and its dependency injection. Other than springboot, I use intellij for angular frontend development as well.
Nachteile
As a drawback I see the limitation of the features of community edition.

IntelliJ is quite a heavy application that can take a lot of memory to run and has the tendency to occasionally crash on older machines. The initial boot-up time of IntelliJ can be quite slow due to the initial indexing it runs to detect all the details of the project you're currently working on. It is also quite expensive, and not completely open source.

I have used different IDEs before and finally ended up using intellij after my colleague recommended this to me. I really love the feature set it provides and it is an up to date IDE.

Easy to use for a beginner
I thought it was easy to use. I didn't have an amazing experience but I didn't have a terrible experience either.

As a beginner, I liked that they offer a 90-day free trial. I felt like the 90-day trial helps out a lot when trying to decide if this is the software you want to use. I thought the monthly price after the trial was not too bad to pay for an individual. I chose not to try the paid version although I imagine it is pretty cool with more cool features. I thought the free trial had so many features. I couldn't use all of them in 90 days which is a pro and a con. The customer service was amazing. They always listened and helped me when I needed it.
Nachteile
I thought that there were a lot of features even with the free trial. Could get a little confusing.

Vorteile
For me IntelliJ IDEA combines the best of all IDEs. It’s also bundles functionality of other well IDEs of IntelliJ. For me as a developer it’s the application I use most all day long and I really enjoy the ease of use.

Without any doubt Intellij IDEA is one of the best IDE's one can find and use out there for software development purposes that even for free. It offers a number of functions which makes coding easy and helpful. I have been using intellij for quite a time I must say the experience around with it has been great.
Nachteile
Some of its functions are quite hard to learn as from a beginner perspective, the UI for its usage is great but when it comes to finding some functions it takes a lot of time to figure how to use.

This can make it challenging to get up and running quickly. While IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition is free and open-source, the Ultimate Edition comes with a price tag that can be expensive for individual developers or small teams.I have reported occasional performance issues, including lag or freezing, which can be frustrating when working on time-sensitive projects.

Almost OK, almost...
Vorteile
It can be clearly seen that IntelliJ IDEA is developed for satisfiying essential requirements of Java and Kolin developers. I found it easy to use after switching from Netbeans for Java application development.
Nachteile
Optimizations regarding runtime performance must be improved for both Windows and Linux, since building a project can take too much time because of background tasks to be completed. Also when I work on JavaFX projects with FXML, it runs terribly bad, it often freezes while switching between code and design tabs.

Pretty convenient, pretty fast, and pretty inclusive
I need it quite often lately and I am satisfied. We prefer him to provide the developer environment, which we cannot do on the VSCode side.
Vorteile
It is a tool that we use and work a lot as a team for compiling, upgrading and customizing open source platforms (a java-based iot), testing them quickly in the developer environment.Project-specific compilations, installation of plug-ins, integration ability and a screen that does not strain the eyes are quite nice.
Nachteile
Frankly, I cannot write much in this part because I am quite satisfied. More options can be offered on the design side, and a more advanced tool for making the necessary setups (currently adequate but we can sometimes grapple with bugs) can be provided.

IDE plein de resources et intuitif
Ce logiciel ne peut plus sortir de ma stack, il est encré dans mes habitudes puisque j’ai pu y trouver ce qui correspond exactement à ma demande en tant que développeur!
Vorteile
La création et recherche de projets est très simple à prendre en main et s’adapte à la structure de chaque framework. Beaucoup de plugins et de thèmes disponibles et les développeurs y trouveront forcément leur bonheur.
Nachteile
Le logiciel est un peu lourd et coûteux. A noter l’offre étudiante cependant qui le rend gratuit sous justificatif.
