not many extensions and community support compared to it's price, it also has no free version

There are many IDEs, but IntelliJ does a great job. However, I am very happy with this. It is much better with every version.

Sometimes it might be buggy because it is a huge software. That is why it happens. After, it is the nice one as well.

I like so much the colors interface, its similar the text editor SublimeText.
The menu it's organized, and it's easy identified in a simple view all functions.
It's important for me stand out the refactor function, because it's possible refactor my code in a number of ways and will successfully compile statically, also the IDE adds explicit type to fields when they from field initializers and make the IDE very practice.

Nachteile

The free version it's very very limited in the functions and the lenguage plugins availables.
Sometimes present errors with server conection.

Great debugger integration, clean interface. Code autocomplete and refactoring is awesome. Pretty good performance compared to other Java IDEs.

Price for full version is high. Community version is very limited. Settings are cluttered, needs time to get familiar for new users.

IntelliJ works almost all the language be it java, c, c++, python etc. It allows them to work with the help of plugins available. Even it also supports third party software integration. I used jenkins along with intelliJ and was able to execute jobs by giving settings and commands in intelliJ software.

This is the best Salesforce IDE. I have tried a lot of IDEs for Salesforce including eclipse official plugin, Sublime Text with Mavensmate. But this is better than eclipse.
