ThankView is a MUST for Stewardship!
Overall, this is a tool that our organization uses daily to steward and thank our donors. We personally do not use it for solicitation, but I can see how some would like it for that function, as well.
Vorteile
I like the ease of creating and adding videos to use for different campaigns. I like the ability to copy campaigns to save time. We have gotten a lot of great feedback from our donors on how much they like the products
Nachteile
I do not like the recent change to the "combining videos" function. I don't like that you have to take an additional step or that you have to name the combined video now.

ThankView is easy to navigate and user friendly!
Vorteile
The video features are the most impactful, because that's what I use to congratulate and welcome newly admitted students to our university. I never use the maximum length of 5 minutes but it's nice to know that if I needed a longer video like that, I have that option with ThankView! Choosing an outdo and intro is optional but it's a great option and adds a little personal touch or brand recognition if you want to use that.
Nachteile
I think some features that make it difficult to use are that it doesn't work with all internet web browsers, for example it won't allow you to video with the webcam on Safari. I have to use Google Chrome or others. Sometimes the website can be a little but slow and not allow me to use music in my Campaign.

Thankview is great for university and college advancement offices
It's actually quite fun to use and create. We get a lot of nice feedback from the video email recipients as well. It's a nice touch point and having a branded envelope/template really helps.
Vorteile
I enjoy how easy it is to use, create and deploy a video email to my list of recipients. We have different areas in our division that use it for many things - thanking an individual, stewardship of endowment funds to the donors, utilizing students and the university community as part of our videos, national volunteer week, signature event recaps, etc.
Nachteile
Wish I could edit videos beyond trimming the beginning and end, but there's so many ways to navigate that.

Highly Recommend
We are able to reach out to younger target audiences with videos that relate to them. We are able to meet them where they are. Our team is able to connect individually or in mass.
Vorteile
Thankview is a tool that is very user-friendly. I like how you are able to address specific audiences. Uploading the videos is a simple process plus there are folders to help with the organizing of videos.
Nachteile
The limits on how many contacts are very hard for higher education institutions using this tool in many aspects. When we need to clear space for a campaign, it is a complex task.

ThankView is a GAME CHANGER!
10/10 - ThankView is my favorite product that we use at my organization.
Vorteile
ThankView is super user friendly. We train students to use it in a matter of minutes! I love how easy it is to send out multiple PERSONALIZED videos in a short amount of time, as well as send out videos that "appear" personalized as well. We've been able to do so many great things with ThankView including thanking our donors, wishing them happy birthday, inviting them to events, and more.
Nachteile
Honestly, we have so many ideas for how to use ThankView and just not enough time!

Thankview is a partner in our success
We have been able to connect with our financial and volunteer donors in a new and innovative way. It is extremely well received. Often when people get the ones that simply thank them (no donate button) they turn around and donate anyway. We are able to tell our story in a way that makes people appreciate being involved with us.

We like the ease of creating videos. We also like the fact that people like receiving them. It puts our organization in a favorable light.
Nachteile
We do not have anything to add here. We don't have issues with this software.

ThankView keeps us Top Of Mind with our donors
The ThankView Team is always in contact, informing us of new features or best practices to further increase our reach. I believe I've attended 5 or 6 training webinars by now, and I gain valuable knowledge every time. Thankview offers the online-equivalent of outstanding customer service, in addition to the power the platform gives us to stay in touch with our supporters across the globe. Bravo.
Vorteile
ThankView is super simple to use. If you have any experience with MailChimp or other email marketing services, ThankView's interface will feel very familiar. But despite its simplicity, the platform is powerful - the feedback we receive from ThankView campaigns is far more positive and enthusiastic than any other online marketing system.
Nachteile
I wish we could have more personalized envelopes and landing pages without additional cost.

Thank You for ThankView!
ECU signed on with ThankView as an outreach tool for our donors. Little did we know a global pandemic would increase our usage 10fold! We've used the software to connect our donors with those who are receiving their direct support. Additionally, we are beginning to integrate solicitations in our more typically stewardship messages. I cannot wait to see how many potential donors we can turn into donors by visually telling our story!
Vorteile
As a ThankView user for more than two years, I'm continually impressed with their attention to customer service. Their product is outstanding, always adding features, and easy to use - but it is their attention to the customer that sets them above the rest!
Nachteile
We've had only one true "issue" with the software during our two years of use. We identified the issue and quickly had a response from customer support. Now, as a LARGE institution with more than 100,000 contacts in use the new pricing structure can be a bit of a burden. However, our customer service representative has been more than helpful in navigating the renewal and how to get the best bang for our buck with the software.

Our donors love recieving ThankViews and it has provided us with another means to engage with our community.
Vorteile
ThankView has been a great addition to our stewardship efforts for donors. We're able to give donors a glimpse into campus life with student videos and show, rather than just tell them the impact that their gift has.
Nachteile
ThankView video editing capabilities are very basic. I often have to use other video editing software to achieve what I'm looking to do and then import a final video into the library. Intro song selection is also limited.

Super Easy Product to Use!
We use it to thank donors for contributions for scholarships and to greet alumni during the holidays and at other times of the year. It is perfect for our uses.
Vorteile
I can create a short video and get it out to thousands of alumni in a matter of minutes even if I haven't used the software in months. It's intuitive and easy to use.
Nachteile
Nothing as I cannot think of anything Thankview should change. My institution only has one photo to use when someone opens up their card. I really wish they would pay for more options so maybe Thankview could revisit clients that have used their software for a while and suggest upgrades that would be helpful?

The Personalization Kings
We have been able to transition a lot of our donor touchpoints to digital, which was especially helpful over the last year during the pandemic. We were able to use ThankView in real time to thank our Giving Day donors as they were giving on the day. We've never been able to do that before. The ease of the product, the personalization to donors, and the customer service that ThankView offers has been unbeatable!
Vorteile
The impact of the pieces on our donors by being able to personalize the videos and text is the best part. As a user, ThankView is so easy to use. I wouldn't have said video skills were my thing, but ThankView makes it so easy to do all the technical items that are challenging for those of us not used to working with videos.

Wonderful and easy to use!
Most of my experience with ThankView has been during giving days. Setting up the campaigns beforehand and then sending them out to prospect managers to record their videos has been so easy, and it's such a great touchpoint! We've gotten some really great responses back from them, which we wouldn't have if we had just sent a thank you letter.
Vorteile
I love that Thankview embraces the informal video. It really takes the burden off of our communications team and allows our gift officers a chance to thank their donors immediately. I also appreciate how easy to use and intuitive it is.
Nachteile
I would love to see them add an option for personalized banners, for a specified amount of time, on specific videos.

Virtual Relationship Building At Its Finest
With the influx of new donors at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, our team was desperate to find a new tool that helped us welcome and steward relationships in a virtual world. We were unable to host these new donors in person as our distribution center was closed to the public, but our major gifts team felt it was important to make some semblance of a face-to-face relationship with our donor base. ThankView provided us that opportunity. Quite quickly we were able to send personalized messages to our new donors and introduce ourselves to them so they knew who we were and more importantly what their critical investment meant for those going hungry in our community. The software was easy to use and we were able to repurpose some videos our marketing team already had on file to educate our new donors about the impact they had while having a friendly face thanking them for their support. I am not sure how else we would have been able to plant those seeds with this new donor base had it not been for ThankView. As we head into our second year, we are encouraged by the feedback from our donors as well as all of the opportunities ThankView has provided us by sharing best practices on their Facebook group and events like the Thankies. We are very excited about this new tool and look forward to continuing to share our successes with the ThankView team.

Vorteile
I love the ease of use and the customer service. We are new to ThankView but in under 6 months, we have sent out at least 75,000 ThankView emails. We have sent anything from automated birthday messages to holiday greetings, email solicitations, and general outreach. It's the first place we turn to when connecting with parents and alumni.
Nachteile
I wish you could have one major list that does not change core info upon loading a new list that may contain the same contacts.

Best Tool for creating Personal Donor Experience

Vorteile
I love how easy Thankview is to use and how we can make so many interactions personal. We have had so many wonderful comments from donors who appreciate this type of interaction. I love how you can do one-on-one communications, but then also make things special for large groups of people. Thankview is one of our favorite donor tools. Another bonus, my team members have bought into the product and use it too. Finding something that empowers other team members to use, is awesome!

Definitely use Thankview!
Overall, it's a great way for personalized engagement with our donors. Especially during covid, it helped to put a face to a name for students and their donors. And it's a great company to work with - they send out advice for videos and other plans to help you set up a communication schedule. The benefits keep coming if you choose to fully use Thankview.

This is an easy to use product. The set up time to implement Thankview was quick and their support staff is a great resource to use for advice or help.
Nachteile
The least thing I like about Thankview is part of a database problem. We either have the same contacts with multiple emails used that you have to sort through to make sure there is only one contact in Thankview for that person. Otherwise, it's the bounced emails for me, I want to "fix" them somehow.

Where has this been all my life!

I have a lot of things I love about this platform, but I'll share 3.
1. The connection power! It allows me to send video messaging to our team and the people we work with. Since videos are so much more engaging than text and even photos, it allows us to be ahead of the curve a bit.
2. The video collection tool feature. In the past, collecting videos was such a hassle and always required so much hand-holding. Now I fire off the request and I get replies.
3. The analytics. It's so helpful to know how many and who have opened, watched, downloaded or shared the videos we send. It allows me to have differentiated follow up.

Great way to add a personal touch while saving time!

ThankView has allowed us to send a personalized touch to donors, new prospects, and partners in this digital world where in-person meetings aren't as available. Our supporters are able to see various aspects of our organization from the ease of their phone or computer and we are able to reach a wider scale of supporter in a quick and efficient way! Integrating the donor databases has been amazing - now in one task we not only send high quality, high impact content, it's tracked with the click of a button!

Love Thankview
I had explored this product in previous roles so I was so excited to see that my organization had already purchased it when I started! It is an excellent resource for sending truly personal outreach to donors and volunteers. You can get very heartfelt in a short amount of time, and we regularly receive great feedback from donors.
Vorteile
Thankview is by far the easiest to use online software I've encountered. It has so many features and can do just about anything we would need it to, but it is presented in an easy, understandable, simple manner.

I truly have zero complaints about Thankview. I wish more people at my organization made use of it!

Great Program for communication
With all the hustle and bustle with no time left for sending out staff and community updates that people would take time to read, ThankView provides a fun delivery of a video message that people actually take the time to watch, replay and even respond. We all get hundreds of emails to read. How great it feels to open the inbox to "something different and something fun" while delivering the message. ThankView is so easy to use we make that "something different" sent to staff and community in minutes.
Vorteile
The system is extremely user friendly. The automatic birthday messages are a HUGE HIT with all staff and community. The feedback on the nuances of the delivery and art work in the custom envelope has been very complimentary. Overall I hear each week that our staff and community cannot wait for the weekly update email. ThankView has become part of the school culture and I am just upset we didn't find this system sooner.

I would love a native IOS App that would make management from an iPad or iPhone a little more seamless.

Thankview: A Resource Multiplier
When dealing with limited resources at a smaller organization we usually have to cut something out in order to add something new. Thankview is simple and user friendly enough that we were able to integrate it with our operations without having to give something else up.
Vorteile
Thankview has allowed us to engage with people in a way that is unique. To do this without the resources Thankview provides would have taken a team of a dozen people working full time to accomplish. Instead we have just a couple of users dedicating only a few hours weekly.
Nachteile
A lack of integration with our Blackbaud Raisers Edge database, however this is something they've been talking about implementing in the near future.

Absolutely great and my organization is better off for it!
Vorteile
The product allows us to give a face to the individual reaching out on behalf of our organization. It helps eliminate the feeling that our recipients are just receiving an automated message, when actually a real person took the time to record a ThankView just for them.

I wish I could give a different email message to each person in the campaign. It tends to clog up the system

ThankView allows us to thank our donors. We believe that showing gratitude is key, and ThankView helps us facilitate that.
Vorteile
The best thing about ThankView is the open rate, which is always 60-70 percent. That's much bigger than typical open rates for email marketing.

First Time User of Thankview
As a beginner with Thank view it has been an overall positive experience. As I get more familiar with the program I am looking forward to putting cool videos together.

What I like most about the software is the ability to throw together a "Thank you" video once a donation comes in. No wait time to say thank you!

An amazing stewardship tool!
The customer service has been amazing and they are receptive to our feedback and ideas. I am so glad that we partnered with ThankView, and it has been something that has surprised and delighted our donors.
Vorteile
This software has been a game changer for us. When we originally launched we wanted to add a tool to support our various methods of stewarding our donors. Since COVID, ThankView has become a key component of our outreach and stewardship. It is simple to use, easy to understand and very versatile.

The video library has become a daunting space that I avoid like the plague.

Saving Time
Overall, ThankView has been a great resource and has been very easy to set up and use. The customer service I received from [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] during the onboarding process was absolutely fantastic! Everyone I've encountered thus far has been great!
Vorteile
This product streamlines the process of developing video communication and sending it out in a timely manner. A process that used to take me several days if not weeks at times has been condensed into a process that takes just a few minutes! I'm able to reach my target demographic easily and effectively!
Nachteile
I haven't found anything that I dislike thus far. I've experienced a few technical glitches on the platform itself but nothing that a quick refresh wouldn't take care of. Overall, I have next to no issues with this platform.

Game Changer for Student Engagement
ThankViews staff is accomodating but there are so many tutorials to help you learn there is really no need to call the staff.

ThankView is easy and leaves a lasting impression on our students. We can engage them like never before. With video and personalizing the messaging to the student really helps bring another dimension to messaging.

Not much I can say about my least favorite feature. My team absolutely loves this software.

Enhanced Stewardship
Vorteile
ThankView allows me to create personal video messages that I can use as part of my stewardship plan. Whether it is a personal message for an individual donor or a general message for all donors, ThankView's approach makes each recipient feel valued and appreciated. Their platform simplifies a process that used to feel cumbersome, allowing our team more time with donors and less time behind the camera.
Nachteile
I would like to see the step-by-step process not start with recipients. When I am reaching out to a group of donors, we often start with the video and the messages and defining the recipients is last. Having to start with recipients first can be frustrating.

TV for Donor Stewardship
Our donors seem to welcome this approach for communicating with them. It's different, and our open rate is better than an email.
Vorteile
I like the video tool versus a phone message or email to communicate thanks or news from our university.
Nachteile
Trying to coordinate the intro and outro can sometimes be confusing. Before I know it, I am at the point of the process where I send my messages.

It has never been this easy until now!

I love that it is easy to use and you are able to see if your message is being read and opened. Lets you know if what you are sending is getting to people.

Connecting students and donors in meaningful ways during the pandemic
Vorteile
I like how easy it is to collect videos from students. It is user-friendly for me and for them.
Nachteile
I'd like to be able to do more customizing of intro slides and music. I don't like that we have to pay extra for special intro music.

If I could leave more stars, I would...
We're using ThankView to increase outreach with our student call center. They also send thank yous to our donors and gift anniversary reminders.
Vorteile
This product is the BEST because it's so easy to use. My student workers have no trouble clicking through and finding what they need to get their videos done. They love how quick it can be to use it.
Nachteile
I WISH it had Raiser's Edge integration. If you need that, this isn't the software for you, but they're working on it! Check back later

Great platform for engagement and analytics
Very please with my experience with ThankView. This is a huge asset to my work flow and alumni and prospective student engagement to help increase recruitment and retention efforts.

The easy work flow, excel friendly, analytics reporting and sharing, response options.

some limitations on customizations (ie increasing font sizes on envelopes, adding more creative graphics)
