A solid and inexpensive CRM
Vorteile
There are many, many things that Insightly does, which can also be a negative, since there are some features that are a little obsure and hard to use. Once you get used to it, and if you watch the tutorials, then the CRM becomes a fully integrated part of the sales process.
Nachteile
It is a little hard to get used to the software, since there's so much that you can do with it. I'm sure I'm underutilizing it, but I don't have the time to fully invest in the platform to learn all of its features.

Insightly review
Vorteile
Insightly is a really cool CRM that I mostly used as a secondary database to maintain a list of Key Contacts for our organization. The link feature is great when you want to make sure you are keeping track of connections and know who to contact when you want to reach certain targets. Being able to bcc an email and log your communications is really handy, too.
Nachteile
It was difficult for us to integrate this into our membership database. But other than that, no major cons. Worked well for us.

Good CRM for small business. Easy to use - Easy to import lists
Vorteile
I've using Insightly for years. It is a very easy process to import prospect lists. Since I am the main user in my organization I've been able to use the basic functionality without needing the reporting and audit capabilities.
Easy to cc outgoing mails to the prospect listing.
Simplicity is the biggest benefit for Insightly. Anyone can import without needing IT support. Search function is incredibly simple. Setting follow up is a click and done.
Nachteile
If I don't set up a next step or follow up for a prospect, it is easy to lose track of the prospect forever.
I don't use the formal opportunity function as I found it easier to keep track of progress by setting unique follow up listings.

I've used a free version of Insightly, but decided not to go with paid one.
Good contact management system.
Vorteile
It's a good solution for a company that wants to combine CRM and Project Management solution and uses G Suite from Google. I liked that you can use Web-form-to-Lead feature even in a free edition - something other companies have on more expensive plans.
Nachteile
It is heavily geared towards the company (or individuals) that use Gmail - basically it seems to be a plug-in to Gmail and mimics its interface. We are more used to Microsoft and that was one of the reason I decided not to go with paid solution. Another one was that canceled paid month plan. Now paid plans starts with higher price and there is lack of features - at least for us.

Data import and export is very simple. After a year of using insightly, I believe it is a solid CRM choice for a growing business.

Was FREE to try forever, Almost worked for our business. Shame we couldn't use Gmail aliases for emails

Gmail integration, Forever Free base plan to trial the software. Integrated flawlessly with my accounting software. Up to 2500 records for free is a blessing.
Nachteile
No support on the FREE plan, but what did I expect for FREE. No access to using Email Aliases from my Gmail account on any version of this software was the eventual killer for me!

Now that I use it, I can't live with out it!
We searched long and hard for a CRM that would help us organize and run more efficiently. I can't tell you how happy we are with Insightly. The workflow automation saves us untold hours. We use the Project and Task list extensively to keep our team on task and to keep from missing a single detail. I've referred Insightly to several other businesses who came to love it, too. If you're looking for a powerful CRM that won't break the bank, this is the one you want.
Vorteile
Tons of features like task assignments, activity sets for recurring actions, and gmail integration make this invaluable to us. Also, they have tons of video tutorials that are very well done.
Nachteile
We've been using Insightly for about 1.5 years now and I don't have any complaints.

Was fine before the new update
Vorteile
I like that we are able to keep track of our clients and somewhat customize our task views to work for our process.
Nachteile
The newest update was not a great idea. I'm not sure if it's just because of our processes or if other users feel this way, but our ability to customize things has seriously diminished. The client view is not nearly as user-friendly. The activity view is really horrendous - when you mark a task complete, it doesn't disappear unless you refresh. When you delete a task, it takes you all the way out of the contact's record. We've actually moved our client note/task tracking to OneNote and it's working much better for us.

If you want really complex things, or are a really large organization, the software becomes a little clunky to use, reporting gets a bit tricky.

Insightly is a pretty straight-forward platform for managing CRM leads, keeping track of your sales pipeline and evaluating where your company is at.
It's pretty easy to use and get started, and it's a great fit for small start-ups that don't need robust huge platforms that are way too costly.

It does what it needs to do! The reports are also very visually appealing, and it's easy to set up email journeys on our marketing CRM side as well.
Nachteile
Takes a little bit of time to grasp how to use it, but if you're dedicated to learning it, it's not too bad!

One of the best CRM's on the market
Vorteile
Insightly offers a robust CRM in their free and premium versions... maybe a little too much in the free version, though you get to choose which parts of the CRM you will use most, like Contacts, Leads, Email, Tasks, Opportunities, Organizations, and Project, just to name a few. The free trial sets you up with a premium version so you can see what you will get, but for single users and very small teams, the basics are probably only needed for contact/lead follow up details.
Nachteile
Currently, Insightly is a wee bit costly for individuals on a budget. But the free version should suffice until the premium version is needed.

Great for Tracking
We are able to track deals to see what is currently in the pipeline and we can go back and reference important information on old deals

Love your CRM
Looking for a SIMPLE CRM to implement for your business - check out Insightly.
Vorteile
Ease of Use – Insightly is super easy to implement and use. You can start with an easy sales process and implement within hours. It is also great to use a virtual files with all it’s great integration. It is easy to use for projects, HR and vendor management as well as sales.
Integration – Insightly has awesome integration with Google For Work and O365! Then you can integrate with Google Drive, Drop Box, Box.com, O365 documents, Evernote and QuickBooks Online. The integration with the document applications is great because users who don’t need licenses to Insightly can still see those documents.
Functionality – Because it’s easy to use it has great functionality. Leads transition to opportunities which transition to projects so that all information comes over.
Nachteile
It could use better reporting. I expect to see improvements in reporting soon.

Excellent resource for task management among our team
Really solving the previous bulky way of handover info by email, this software enables us all to see where projects are at, what needs doing and we do not miss vital tasks or follow ups - this is essential for us and our clients.
Vorteile
We are a team who work on different days, emails were a messy way to hand over tasks that needed work by all team members. Having a CRM even for a small company like ours seemed the way to go and has made task management much more streamlined and efficient.
Nachteile
There is an element of organisation in order to input tasks, and other data. If you regularly keep up to date it is not time consuming, so it is essential to include updates as they occur, not wait until the end of the week and start adding long lists.

Great for contact management from the perspective of customer support
I use this daily to not lose my mind while trying to figure out information on a customer. More often than not I have to refer to our Insightly contact database to get all the information I need without having to wait on a customer to get back to me saving me on average maybe a full hour of productivity each day. Couldn't recommend it more for maintaining contacts between teams.

Good beginner, low-cost CRM

Insightly has most, but not all, the features you'd expect from a CRM. It's barebones, but the price is amazing.
Nachteile
Insightly's feature list definitely suffers when compared to other CRMs, but it's also a tiny fraction of the cost. You get what you pay for -- and for what it's worth, the features that Insightly does have are very well-executed.

Insightly does a good job of adding contacts automatically within its database. So now I no longer have to think whether or not I have added it. Which of course, keeps me organized
Nachteile
I like the software and good integration. It just seems convoluted. They try very hard to squeeze every option with the software. But sometimes, less is more.

Solid, reasonable, reliable CRM
ease of mind that my contacts, projects, and pipeline were golden.
Vorteile
It feels like a well balanced, well-oiled machine. It's not smooth, plays nicely with your email client, and offers simplicity yet expandability that you'd want in a CRM. Email templates, integrations, customer support. I've paid for their best plan, and haven't looked back. Our business is loving life and its pursuit through Insightly.
Nachteile
The user interface, though improving, still has a ways to go. I can't fully manage my email within the app (only outbound emails). Though they provide video tutorials, I still often find myself looking around the Amusement Park-esque interface thinking there's so much still to leverage.

There's usually a way to achieve what you want in Insightly, even if it's not always immediately obvious - it has a very full set of features.

A good option if you are new in CRM since is a fair cost and price valued software. Easy to integrate to Google and G suites as well as to export all the contacts and information needed.

Since leads, to contacts, to opportunities, this CRM lets you to keep track ps every person that gets in touch with your business, even when is not your customer yet. Easy to configure, get relationships of common organization, connects one client with other when they are referrals. Let you administrate since your sales funnel to your current customer relationship.
Nachteile
You definitively need to spend good time in the initial configuration; trying to modify on the road can really get you in trouble and have no real numbers.
In order to have the best experience, basic plans might let you off to enjoy all the functionalities as dashboard design.

Great app to pipeline and project status stages

Insightly is very efficient when it comes to tracking activity status within a huge organization. For each project, you can set and customize a pipeline based on who's responsible for the next step of the process -- therefore, it eliminates any missed tasks within the organization, helping everyone deliver their tasks and projects on time.
Nachteile
While the desktop app is excellent, the mobile app is quite cluttered and confusing. Hope the Insightly team can make a more robust and mobile-friendly interface so that users can log in to the app while on the go.

As a CRM expert, I test drive all sorts of CRM, but lean heavily towards SAAS and as far away from SalesForce (and so-called enterprise software similar to SF) as possible. So when I found Insightly, I found a great product for the one man band or small to medium sales team.
The main pros for this product are: you can associate anyone to anyone, any company, opportunity, notes, in short, everything. It is the best connective CRM out there. I have complex B@B clients with highly integrated markets which means joint ventures, M&A, marketing cooperatives and people moving around. So multiple connections is important
Also, tagging is huge! I use hundreds of tags that can narrow down what a contact, company or opportunity is all about. One can slice and dice what you are looking for and create a list from it
It is affordable, won't break the bank.
The cons to this product (and other CRMs for the most part) are: the opportunity and project tabs don't do much more than list things that are happening with the token Hot-Warm-Cold listings. There is no graphical way (see Pipedrive) to see what your pipeline looks like
There is not much you can do with any lists you put together except export. When exporting, company and contact are separate exports, which is not fun.
But when compared to other CRMs, it's a very nice system. If they had sales pipeline capability, better use of lists (especially since one can create so many different lists with their tagging system) and a better export they'd be the only thing I use. This is worth taking a look at; it may be exactly what you need.

Perfect CRM for Small Businesses
Overall Insightly is an affordable CRM that is intuitive to use (for its most basic features) but also has a slightly steeper learning curve to truly grasp all of its capabilities.

Insightly is a powerful, affordable CRM that has all the necessary features for a small business. The feature that my team finds most beneficial is the task assigning and tracking to make sure our 'to do lists' are getting done.

Insightly could use offer more social media and email integration. My organization would like all customer email communication to be sent with Insightly but we are not able to because of the limited emailing capabilities.

All of the basic functionality of a CRM, but feels outdated
From our experience within our company, it is a sufficient CRM, but in all honesty, after switching to Hubspot CRM, I realized that Insightly was missing a lot of other useful features.
Vorteile
It was a good starter CRM for our small company to get us more organized and move from an excel spreadsheet into a more feature-rich platform. It has the basic functionality of what you would expect from a CRM platform nowadays, with automatic email logging, contact management, as well as an integration with Quickbooks.
Nachteile
I felt like we outgrew it quickly. We were only on the free plan, but with the features that we used, and after analyzing the cost of upgrading versus the competitors, we couldn't justify the additional cost of upgrading Insightly.

Great product used by a former employer.
I was able to organize/store contact information of donors, stakeholders, and other people of interest for my non-profit organization.
Vorteile
I thought this contact management software was very easy to use. I learned to use it as part of my job training and was thankful that it didn't take me long to figure out. I liked it so much, I set up a separate account to manage my own contacts. Loved that a basic account without special features is 100 percent free.
Nachteile
I wish that it were easier to send out the same email to multiple contacts at once. The version of Insightly I signed up for did not allow me to do this easily. If I wanted to send the same email to more people than were listed on the page, it would not allow me to.

Gmail app is horrid and customer service is really slow
The gmail app is very weak. It doesn't pick up email contacts in forwarded emails. If you don't start your account as a Google apps account you can't add it later. It turns on the service for everyone in your domain which got my technical team pretty pissed off. I also have encountered major issues with the plug-in saying it cannot authenticate. I'm used to Cirrus Insight which has phenomenal gmail integration.
To make it worse, Insightly has very weak customer service. You don't hear back from them for 24 hours and even then they use a help service that is full of noise and hard to follow.
Very risky software. Really look into the whole suite of services before you subject your sales team to major headaches.

At this you cannot convert an Insightly web account (i.e. not integrated with Google Apps) to an Insightly account for Google Apps -- they are two separate types of accounts. We are working to reduce the turnaround time for our support response. Also we use Zendesk for our help application so sorry that you had issues working with us through Zendesk. Thanks.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Insightly! This was a game changer for us.
Vorteile
There's so much to like. As you'd expect, you can create organizations and link contacts to them for easy access to client information. The project tool is a lifesaver! Since we implemented this and the custom Activity Sets our efficiency and accuracy has gone through the roof. Everyone on the team is on the same page and it helps us serve our clients even better.

Great project management tool for remote teams
It doesn't allow anything to fall through the cracks.
Vorteile
It is very easy to use and intuitive. I work in a remote team and Insightly helps us to organize all our ongoing projects. I like that each pipeline stage can be assigned to a particular user, and that user will be notified via email when it is his/her turn to work on the project.
Nachteile
None. It does everything I need for my job scope.

Great software design, poor software performance, horrible support
I've been quite a happy Insightly user for the past few years. Lately, I had a growing amount of reminders that didn't get sent to my email. I've missed a few critical milestones and lost a few deals because of that. I just didn't get reminder for tasks I managed at Insightly.
So I approached Insightly customer support. Never got them to reply sooner than 48 hours post sending the ticket message, and I keep getting replies saying (in short): we can't help you!
CRM is such an important aspect of business management, and I can't live with such an attitude. Am now actively looking for an alternative, although I like Insightly approach to CRM and acknowledge the time and effort it will most likely take to make the transition. Even so, can't work that way anymore. Truly am sad to say, I Would not recommend Insightly to anyone.

Great CRM. Easy to learn, (weak) integration with Gmail, interesting outlooks on the sale lifecycle.
Nachteile
Horrible support. poor response time, Failed handling with their own technical issues.

Almost great
The ability to have one place to track project progress and CRM was enough to get my team to plug our entire launch strategy into Insightly.
We're experiencing a major feature gap in that file attachments don't link to tasks. This basic feature of other project management platforms seems to have been overlooked by Insightly. They offer file attachments to opportunities, contacts and projects, but it's a pain to backtrack and search around for which file you need out of all the files associated with a project.
Otherwise it's great that it integrates with Google Apps, docs, email and even Evernote. I hope they patch in links to tasks soon. We have 8 days to decide whether or not to stick with the platform.

Easy to use CRM
Vorteile
The way I can copy reports, and create my own according to my needs is a huge upside.
Nachteile
It is challenging to get some aspects of our programs to update when they are in a project format. Insightly is mainly geared towards reports instead of Projects.

Great product.
Vorteile
This product has a wide array of CRM tools and applications to work with including Google suite, Gmail, Docs, MailChimp, Outlook, Evernote, QuickBooks and more. The mobile accessibility was incredibly useful for on the go client relation management and is compatible with iPhone, Mac products, and Android phones and tablets as well.
When navigating the "dashboard" Insightly offers real time reports and even probability of gaining new business and the value of specified clients. The project management function is fantastic. Once you've opened an account with a client, you can manage follow-ups and track progress on commitments and business along with history of conversations and specific details that can be utilized in the future for personable experiences. Insightly does a great job at distinguishing leads from clients, it's highly customizable, and removes the requirement of other project management tools you may be utilizing. The layout is similar to Facebook.
Nachteile
Some additional features that are highly useful need to be payed for in addition to the software. Transparency on this would have been useful. If you're in healthcare, you may run into an issue with HIPPA compliance.

Vorteile
Insightly has a great feature-set that covers customer relationship management, project management, and reporting. Very well rounded and balanced app that could meet the needs for teams with relatively simple projects and services.
Nachteile
It almost seems like the development team has been packing the application with more and more bells and whistles to become the end-all be-all product. The result is a user interface and user experience that just feels crowded and clunky. In this case the utility comes at the expense of usability and the result is an app that does a lot of stuff but doesn't excel in any one area over alternatives.
