Vorteile
Insightly has many customizable features, which makes it a good option for organizations with unique CRM needs. Also, there are integrations with Zapier to make the tool even more powerful.
Nachteile
The free version of Insightly is all but disappearing, as more features are continually move to the paid version only.

A great CRM for Google Apps users!
I first signed up my company for insightly to use on internet sales for furniture products. We ended up expanding that use as sales reps enjoyed how simple it was to use and share info on leads.
Vorteile
Keeping track of leads and contacts made with those leads.
Sharing leads and estimating the value they present to bring in closers or specialist if necessary.
Google Apps integration is fantastic.
Nachteile
Scheduled follow ups is a feature they could use tremendously.
Automatic emails and scheduled timeframes would be nice but not a deal breaker.

Very versatile CRM
I can access my data on the fly with their app, send emails from within, track documents, import/export contact info and more. I like the ease of use and expansive custom field options and ability to create tags enabling grouping of contacts or leads.
Vorteile
Able to connect relationship between different contacts. It has the ability to create reports on a whim. Price is fair for the functionality and ability to customize to fit your industry's needs.
Nachteile
Not specifically geared towards the real estate industry.

It helped us to take a big picture of what's going on
The dashboard is great, neat and organized. The UX is modern and good-looking. And it's a pleasure to fire the app every time i need to work on something.
Vorteile
The free plan. With it we managed to educate our clients on the software at no cost on us. Then they upgrade their accounts.
Nachteile
It doesn't integrate with Google analytics, doesn't offer online forms or enable creating landing pages and all that is extremely important at the media startups and companies.

By far my favorite tool in my set of digital tools
Easy way to capture customer info on the move with the app.
Vorteile
The base function of a CRM is crucial to a modern digital business and this is the easiest to use and most cost effective CRM on the market. The design is easy to understand but it doesn't limit the functions available to users.
Nachteile
No real cons that I can think of. The complexity of a CRM requires quite a few features and this make confuse some users but I don't think their design can be improved upon to address the confusion of this complexity.

Growing up: Insightly
Insightly would be a great beta. However, if you are looking for a developed and smooth interface without a huge learning curve it is not the best choice.
Vorteile
Seemingly easy to navigate, though using its full feature set will require some passionate googling. Also, seems to integrate with Google well (ish). The ability to customize the CRM with project management is nice.
I like the idea of project management being right next to the CRM. It's wonderful. There are opportunities to automate some of this.
The initial price is great, however, the extras are a bit pricey.
Nachteile
Insightly relies on tired party apps/integrations to create its streamlined workflows. Syncing contacts from Google requires an extra per user from a third party. I was surprised at the lack of basic function there.
Setup interface is more of a giant control panel which is a bit overwhelming. Knowing where settings live takes a lot of click and hope.
The interface is kindly described as clunky. Think google groups vs Trello. This app is more on the google groups side. It's functional.
Insightly's feature set is somewhat deceptive when they are in sales mode. Yes it can do what it says. But, it's not as easy as it looks. As in, time can go die in their settings panels.

Excellent CRM for small Business
I use this as my personal CRM, so if a customizeable CRM is not required this is certainly an option
Vorteile
Extremely inexpensive software for small business with good bulk mailing features and document storage.
Nachteile
Customizing is limited and navigation sometimes a little clumsy and non intuitive, I wish it contained a split screen for some of the functions.

More Business Tracker Than CRM
It’s generally fine if you’re looking specifically for business info, ie sales progress, total leads generated, etc. as a CRM it is definitely not the best

You can easily look up Leads/Opportunities/Customers by any of the information listed on their profile. It’s also easy to transition the stages of accts
Nachteile
In general, navigating the software is unnecessarily difficult. There’s almost too much information to effectively use as a CRM and the learning curve isn’t the easiest.

Insightly offers great features, ease of use, and low cost.
Vorteile
Insightly is a very powerful toolkit, and incorporates both CRM and project management into the same application. This makes it easier to keep track of status, and gives a single list of tasks which can show everything that needs to happen organized by person or by project.
Insightly has more powerful sales pipeline management, strong task management, and integrates CRM and projects.
I use Google Apps for Business. Insightly has a direct integration with Google Apps. This makes user management simple, and allows me some "extras" because their tool works nicely with Gmail.
Nachteile
On the negative side, the permissions are more "liberal" than some competitors making it harder to block people from access to project information. You need to have a user account for every person working on each project, which may mean you have to buy a larger number of users than are in your organization.

Insightly is a great CRM and easy to use
My experience with Insightly has been great and has helped me to stay on top of my short and long term goals.
Vorteile
I love the to-do list and the fact that it makes it so much easier in business to keep everyone on the same page. I also love the ease of use of this CRM. I've used others that are much more complicated and have quite the learning curve.
Nachteile
The costs of the paid verson is a little bit out of my budget and the free version doesn't offer the same perks.

When you need a CRM for small teams without the big price
Affordability is the name of the game. Also, the simplicity of the software makes it easy to train business owners and clients on utilizing the system (very intuitive for small CRM needs). Integration with gmail is a great feature for this audience as well.
Vorteile
I really like Insightly as a budget option CRM for small businesses, and it's features have really grown over the years.
The pros:
Pricing - free option, can't beat that - the free option is good for up to 2 users, and 2500 contacts.
Very nice integration with Gmail and Chrome, that allows for a decent project management system to go.
Slack and Mailchimp integration for paid plans.
Segmentation and workflows for certain paid level plans.
It's definitely worth a look for smaller businesses.
Nachteile
Its simplicity is its drawback. For some, it will be too simple and too basic for more robust CRM needs.

Not good for a small business. WAY to over complicated
They figured out a few years back that leads and contacts are diferent so I tried to export all of the contact (they only had the contact option at the time) to leads. But it won't export the address feild because they formatted it differently in the two areas. Customer service is horrible.

Easy to use, easy to set up.
Vorteile
Very easy to get up and running for a small team. The implementation is simple and straightforward and doesn't require any deep technical knowledge. Screens are clean and easy to navigate.
Nachteile
Not the deepest functionality but we're also going between the free and most basic paid version. I'm sure the options expand as you go up in the service but at the very baseline it's pretty bare bones in what can be done. Overall it accomplishes what a basic CRM should do but, and rightfully so, as soon as you want a little more than basic functions you will be required to pay to upgrade.

Excellent CRM with robust features. Great for established businesses as well as start-ups.
Helps us to better manage our business, from contacts to opportunities.
Vorteile
Easy to use with a manageable learning curve. My wife and business partner who is not very technologically savvy was able to learn the core features very quickly. Excellent customer support and database of tutorial videos. Excellent integration with Gmail allowing one to seamlessly import emails into Insightly. Intuitive layout.
Nachteile
You have to save a profile that you are creating in order to add an image of the contact. Makes for an added step that when adding multiple contacts can take up a significant amount of time.

A great entry level option
May not be as full featured as the bigger CRM's, but that's not the point. Great for use in a small business with a couple employees. It can provide a good solution to keeping all the data and info in a single place, and is pretty quick to get up and running.

insightly better match for me
On a modest budget and with very limited knowledge of CRM software, I recently trailed SalesforceIQ to use as my first CRM software for my small skills training business where I handle client inquiries, registrations, invoicing via QB online and other case management activities. For salesforce to do what I wanted it to, I would have needed to go beyond the 'out-of-the-box' version which was way beyond my price range. I looked into Insightly which offers both client tracking and project management. I have been so happy with the ease-of-use of this software and the ways that I can customize my use of it with the smark project management aspects which I can link to contacts and leads easily to keep track of waitlists for upcoming training blocks. Although Insightly requires me to use a link when emailing clients outside of insightly to sync these correspondences (unlike Salesforce which does this automatically for you), I actually prefer this method which gives me an extra layer of assurance that my practices are following more stringent privacy standards - I also turned off the auto-search social profiles function to remain compliant with my privacy policies (no-one consented to that and I don't need to collect that info). I am still working on making the interface seamless for what I want it to do, but it is already saving me so much time and stress in keeping track of all my leads and no missing out on potential business. I love the email templates as well! Worth every penny!

Insightly is a good choice for small software-savvy operations
Our small agency needed a small CRM and Project Management support package so we went looking for a good fit. The person who chose Insightly did her due diligence in terms of functional comparison and interface design. The problem was that the person who selected Insightly had no experience with lead tracking or project management, let alone the software packages that save time and enable information sharing. Still, upon installation, the Insightly program did a fair job. Where there was friction and frustration was having to devote the time, and align our thinking with their software designers, to implement the software on different Windows platforms we had among our small team. (Our problem, we know.) While the newby on the team found she could use Insightly after some (time consuming) tutorial watching, the guy with more CRM, contact management and project management experience found Insightly to be less intuitive and more clunky when it came to smoothly integrating with Outlook, Google contacts and calendar. Take all of this with a grain of salt, please, because we loaded the free version. Still, before paying for any upgraded functionality, we are looking for a product that behaves as intuitively as it should it it was designed by busy agency professionals who need to switch functions on a dime, just after a client contact, or integrate easily with other packages.

Very simple, non-intimidating interface. Tries to be homey and welcoming to very small businesses. Earnest effort to serve up helpful hints. Looks like it doesn't require a lot of time to use.
Nachteile
Not particularly business-like, visually. Cutesy. Not as intuitive an interface as expected. Glyphs and symbols are not immediately intuitive. More clunky when it came to integrating with Outlook, Google contacts and calendar.

Great way to manage leads
Overall we have been happy with the help Insightly has provided to us while starting up online marketing and advertisement. It has allowed us to better track our investment as well as track our leads and follow-up with people in appropriate time gaps.
Vorteile
This product has allowed us to streamline our online marketing ads into a funnel/pipeline. Once you have it set up, then it is really easy to track leads and continue to follow-up with them. This allows you to track this, time things out and automate it all.
Nachteile
The thing I liked least about the software is setting everything up for your campaigns. It's a lot of work to set everything up, although I don't think that is the fault of the software, just part of the job of creating content, and following up with leads in different funnels.

Easy to use software!
Vorteile
Recently we switched from Salesforce to Insightly. This is a perfect software for a smaller, growing company. It's extremely easy to use. The cost was much lower than previous softwares we used and it has all the same features we were utilizing.
Nachteile
When you sign up you only get two trainings where they walk you through the platform and teach you what features you have and how to set them up. If you need anymore you have to pay which I don't agree with. However, as I mentioned before it's extremely easy to use and when I have had questions in the past they have responded right away.

We use Insightly to manage all of our sales leads & process.
Vorteile
Insightly is a fairly comprehensive CRM tool - it integrates neatly with Outlook allowing us to tie email comms to sales follow up quite seamlessly.
Nachteile
Whilst there is an extensive reporting functionality available - the basic levels of reports do not generate enough information so we have had to build custom reports to suit our business needs.

Overall not a bad software. Provides opportunities to improve customer service.

Very reliable tool that allows you to document everything from start to finish easily. I like the fact that it offers many features that other apps are charging us for. It also operates well with other marketing initiatives.
Nachteile
Task portion of the app is a bit complicated and takes too many steps. Hate that notes aren't automatically refreshed.

ive only used it for about 3 months. ive used 6 or 7 Crms in the past in Solar sales, Automotive sale sand Service tech operaations, and i think that insightly is heading in the right direction.
Vorteile
Clean presentation, Good color contrast makes it easy to see and read, and use. Specially if you are working long hours
Nachteile
Sometimes it takes too long to interact with other software. we use twilio for phone system, and somtimes corky. Should have a phone system module with call recording. some of the JOTforms can use some more combo boxes and dropdowns.

Free version and reasonable price for other plans. A lot of free integration, include for free version.
Nachteile
No two way G Suite (Gmail) integration - only throw PieSync, but PieSync is very expensive for me. And limited records for each plan too.

Strange import & Instant Gmail Issues
Nachteile
I hadn't even started when I opened what I thought was a new app - only to have a whole slew of contacts, projects, tasks etc - flood what was a new account.
On top of this, since I used a gmail - now Insightly demands to have access to my accounts before getting into my gmail which has screwed up my workflow - and I hadn't even STARTED using the program.
There is no phone number so you can't even talk to a human. I've reached out to two people on LinkedIn associated with the company. We'll see if anyone gets back to me.

Great CRM for G Suite users
Vorteile
For G Suite users, you'll have a CRM directly linked to your inbox. Insightly is easy to use and there are lots of features to allow you to customize the CRM to your liking. Insightly is competitively priced and they also offer a free version.
Nachteile
I didn't care for the design of Insightly. I also would have liked to have more marketing integrations added to Insightly such as email list integration and landing pages.

Full Features, Not all are Robust
The CRM functions in Insightly have been useful to my business. Overall, I found lots of small issues and bugs, and when I reached out to customer support, I had significant delays in the response time. Most of the time, the bugs would vanish before the support team had a chance to respond to me.
Vorteile
I liked the level of customization that was available with the Business subscription.
Nachteile
I didn't like that the software seemed to slow down as I added more leads and companies. Eventually my custom filters stopped working due to "complexity", even though those same filters used to work in the past.

Its not a true CRM
Very poor, support fast but mostly apologizes for lack of functionality as a CRM

Amazingly you can not actually manage customer contact via email. The software does not support HTML email. And of the text based email you can not run a report of clients who have opened or read the email, not can you even create a list. How can you call yourself Customer Relationship Management if you can not manage email communication. Finally, beware the have a no refund policy.

Simplicity and Power in one CRM Solution
Vorteile
Super intuitive to navigate, operate, and optimize. Everything just makes sense. I have worked with other more expensive systems before but none of them can beat the simplicity and functionality that Insightly offers.
Nachteile
The product continues to improve over time. Most of the things that I didn't like about the system are no longer an issue. For example, Insightly now offers great customizable dashboards.

Vorteile
The features are easy to use and to customize. My favorite features are the lead generation, email templates and the tagging feature. The tagging feature makes it so easy to categorize contacts.

A Very Basic CRM
Since we migrated to another platform, I no longer use this software, but, as mentioned, it is decent for the average small business that doesn’t need any marketing automation.
Vorteile
Insightly is a CRM, for sure. Customer Relationship Management...so, if you are seeking a glorified “Rolodex” then this software will suite your needs.
Nachteile
While you can send out e-mails from within Insightly, you really can only do so much with it. It does not have any marketing automation included. This is a huge drawback. We switched to a better CRM solution because of this reason.

Excellent Option
Insightly is very flexible and very intelligently designed. They are very stable and have only gotten better and better over the 3.5 years we have used them.
Vorteile
Very logical layout, very stable, and they are always improving.
Nachteile
There is nothing that I would change about this product.

Solid entry-level CRM
It's a specialized tool, so I wouldn't recommend it unless I have the time to sit down and show someone how to set it up. But overall, the platform is robust and scales well as your needs evolve.
Vorteile
Setting up the product is straightforward
Logging sales activities, leads, etc. is easy
Collaborating with a team is easy, and the internal task management flow is solid
Email logging is very nice and effective
Nachteile
The UI is very dated, and feels like a step up from Microsoft Access
The visuals in general are lacking -- I'd like to see better reporting
No email tracking (i.e. tracking opens), so we have to use hubspot sales for that

Insightly- huge issues subscribing and being over charged with no access to customer support
Vorteile
It is relatively easy to use and has great features including e-mail notifications of assigned tasks. The price is low and they even offered me a nonprofit discount. The trial period helped me to choose this as our CRM.
Nachteile
I literally "tried" to subscribe many times but kept getting error messages saying that our trial period has expired and I could not access any of the information and projects that I stored even though I was putting in my credit card number in order to turn the trial into a purchased membership. I tried many times to alert customer service of the issue and heard no response. Eventually I gave up and chose another CRM. In the meantime, I came to find that I had been being charged with each attempt to become a member even though I still wasn't able to log in and use the system because my trial expired.... It took a while but I finally got my money back and moved on.

Great CRM system for the small business
Vorteile
I have already recommended this product to several people who are just getting started into the CRM world. Many small businesses need a CRM system that helps them organize and track leads, referrals, and potential clients through the sales pipeline. This system is the answer.
Nachteile
The free version doesn't offer some reporting mechanisms that seem obvious...but then again, I'm using the free version, so I really can't complain!
The other issue I have is that it functions a bit slowly sometimes. Other websites work very smoothly and behave like they're running on my desktop, but the Insightly website can be a bit chunky.
Also, the web app is weak. It doesn't have near the functionality of the website. Not sure if that is because I'm using the free version or not.

A modern and hip program that is easy to understand and rock with.
If I had more funds, this program would be great. Lots of solid tools and good client tracking! I enjoyed the interface the most... I know silly but if its not easy to look at.. why spend 9 hrs a day looking at it right?
Vorteile
I used this program for a few weeks trying it out to see if it would work with our teams flow. It provided a lot of great insight into our clients. One feature I did want to sped more time looking at was the integration with 3party apps like Google Docs. We also made good use of the mile stones and project management settings.

Excellent tool for improved organisation
Vorteile
It's a full featured app which helped improve our business processes, since new clients' opportunities, prospects, organize contacts (both clients and partners), besides keeping tracks of emails and new leads.
Nachteile
It also have some kind of project management, but I think it can't really replace a focused solution. The user interface has a lot of information at the same time and the website isn't adaptive to mobile screens, so users are required to download their native application (iOS and Android).

Easy to use CRM for small to medium businesses
Vorteile
Easy to setup. Free tier gives you great tools and could be great for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Nachteile
User Interface could be improved. You’ll need to complement it with other tools to automate all the process.

Great beginner CRM for small organizations!
Free version worth trying out, if you're on the fence.
Vorteile
The price point was great for those starting out and not looking to invest in a lot of money upfront - I've used this with a couple different organizations, and have been happy with it on the startup side.
It's fairly simple and intuitive to use - I love the tagging and cloud feature the most. Also, you can set alerts!
Interface is "pretty" and features don't feel overwhelming.
Nachteile
The Reports can't be customized as much as we'd like.
The simplicity is also it's weakness. It can have fairly basic features, and we've found that it's not robust enough for our organization as we've grown. It won't do everything you need (but it's hard to find a software that does!).

Poor Understanding of how People Use CRM but some cool features.
Insightly would be GREAT if they could change the following things:
1) Contacts / LEads need to be easily assigned and sorted by an OWNER. They are missing the idea that someone OWNs a lead. When you invest $50 to create a lead, you don't send that to EVERYONE in the organization by default and hope for the best.
2) No autoresponder email function!!!! This is a deal killer.
3) No ability to mass edit ownership of a lead, you have to click into the lead, select the permission. Its 5 clicks that should be one click at the lead overview level so you can assign 100 leads to another person with one feel swoop.
4) Opportiunity reports do not have the CONTACT NAME that the Opportunity is associated with.
This has a long way to go.

Just updating for the record as some of this information is incorrect:
1) You could create a custom field on the contact record and specifically assign the lead/contact to a person.
2) At this time we do not have native email capabilities from Insightly. It is something on our product roadmap. In the meantime you can use our integration with MailChimp to send mass emails.
3) You can mass edit ownership using our bulk edit feature
4) Opportunity reports include the organization name but not the contact name.

Great Basic CRM!
I really quite enjoyed it. This was definitely better than my Rolodex.
Vorteile
This product was definitely easy to use. All of the documents are saved online, so it was helpful for both of our offices to access all the documents and client information.
Nachteile
It was definitely basic CRM. I did not like that in order to edit a document, we would download the document, save it, and re-upload it.
