Property Management
I am still learning something new every day. It is a very nice system to do property management but it took me over 6 months to fully understand the software & how to use it proficiently.
Vorteile
Doing my monthly balancing is very easy with Yardi. I am able to drill down & figure out where I am off. I like the fact you can pull reports for the G/Ls for each individual company.
Nachteile
How long it has taken me to know the software. Everytime I am on the phone with customer service, I learn new features about the software that I guess is common knowledge with Yardi.

Yardi Voyager
Vorteile
I like the fact that this product is user-friendly. I love the mobile capability. The accounting functionality is solid and is customizable. You can define the user fields and create custom attributes. The support is also great and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Nachteile
There are no items I can think of that I like least. The product is great.

Yardi is simple but is falling behind newer, shinier programs such as Entrata Core.
Vorteile
Yardi gets the job done. It is not the flashiest of softwares but it is hearty, simple, and for the most part, efficient.
Nachteile
Yardi's interface could use some work and it is quickly being seen as outdated, overshadowed by hot new products with shiny websites.

Great to Handle Numerous Assets

Yardi is a great program for handling multiple assets. It’s all in one ability to handle tenants and accounting is great.

Diverse, functional, largely used throughout the property management industry, covers commercial and residential equally, fantastic accounting functionality.

Hello early 90s software but AMAZING customer service. Pretty much only option in commercial...
It was pretty much the only viable option for commercial property management because it did have so many features that the clunkiness was just a "price to pay" for everything else.
Vorteile
The customer service was second to none (I've never had such an awesome support team that was so responsive). The software also seemed to be pretty good for the property management side. From all the commercial property management software my client looked at this one was pretty much the only choice because of the robust functionality and the one-stop integration (accounting and client management were in the same software).
Nachteile
SUPER clunky, and early 90s interface. From an accounting perspective there was so much that it was lacking - including controls (like being able to lock people out of certain functionality while giving them access to the other modules they did need). It was also really frustrating because the accounting reports were quite unsightly.

Statement nightmares
It is okay for leads and for census reporting.
Vorteile
It is easy to pull reports and also manage lead base.

If you make a change in billing, it is a nightmare for the residents to figure out the ledger on their statement.

My overall experience with Yardi has been great.
Vorteile
I love that Yardi gives you all-in-one access for residential accounts. Your occupancy, reports and financial information can all be accessed from the same interface. I also love the feature that allows you to look up past payable entries.
Nachteile
For new users it may take a little time to become familiar with where to find everything but once you et the hang of it, it is awesome.

Yardi is a good program with a lot of fun features
This program is easy to learn, easy to navigate, and if you play with it enough you will find lots of new things to use it for.
Vorteile
Reporting is easy on Yardi. I like the look of all the reports, and find that the two places I can print them from are really easy to find.
Nachteile
There are a lot of "options" in drop down menus that are not actually options. One terrible thing is I can't even print a full list of addresses without it being labels.

Very useful tool
Overall, the basic yardi is not bad but outdated. If you can afford it, I suggest using the updated version. You get what you pay for. On the property management level, you are able to access financials quickly. Which really comes in handy when the property owners have questions.

There are many ways to get to get one function/menu. User friendly. Able to locate financials easy on the property level and for individual residents.
Nachteile
If you use the basic yardi, you are not able to use all the functions; even though the functions are listed. Areas to input data but unable to get the data in a spread sheet.

Still a solid product after all these years!
I work as a property manager of a pretty large apartment complex here in Fresno CA. With the fast pace of everything, Yardi keeps up and keeps us organized!
Vorteile
I think the most consistent thing about Yardi is having everything in one place. It tracks everything for you! No guess work!
Nachteile
Time consuming set up, sure it as some great pros and great benefits but unless you have the patience to do it yourself get some assistance!

Highly Functional and User Friendly
There are so many benefits in the company wherein our accounting, management fees, invoices and reports are done in timely manner.

Great Software for Self Storage
Making sure all of my tenants pay on time and I can track each and everyone of my tenants old and new.
Vorteile
I love being given a reminder to call tenants that a delinquent and knowing what stage of delinquency they are at when I call. Tech support is great!

The Automatic reporting is a helpful feature. The dashboard is nice, but very rudamentory and the none of the date due by fields work
Nachteile
not easy. Clunky dashboard. No automation. No app. Not Apple friendly. Unreliable. no picture. Less automatic then it should be.

Overall it's great! I can review payable & receivables fast and easy!
Vorteile
The different ways to view reports is nice. I love that I can look at numbers in great detail or summarize them for quick reviewing.
Nachteile
So many options and functions that I will not and cannot use. It would be nice if each user could manipulate their options to be relevant to their searching needs.

A MUST have program!
Vorteile
I have been in Multi-Family residential business for 5 years and I could not have survived without Yardi. My company has so many customized features it makes reviewing reports and entering POs so simple!
Nachteile
The only downside is because our Yardi is so customized, our lead tracking program doesn't inter grade very well. But I still LOVE Yardi.

Over all i think that yardi is great. I love that it is so customizable.
Vorteile
I like the ability to automate tasks, reports and letters.
Nachteile
I would like to be able to do multiple violation letters for the same violation at one time. They changed this recently. I would also like to be able to go from one owner to the next by clicking an arrow. Lastly, i would like to see the account balance on the main owner screen.

I use Yardi during 90% of my day. I wouldn't be very productive without it.
It helps make my job easier. I can't do much of anything without it. When the system is down or I get locked out... I am useless...
Vorteile
I think it is very user friendly. I had never used the program two years ago when I started my new job. I caught on immediately. There are options available to get to different tasks more than one way. I am still learning new things, but I feel lost without the program.
Nachteile
Sometimes the communication between other programs is funky. We use I Love Leasing (Sweet Spot) and the import/export causes multiple leads.

Wonderful for Medium size Property managment company
We have been able to simplify processes and become more efficient in our time management and staffing management.

We have been using Yardi to run our property management company and it is great. The reports and ease of use is great.

Yardi Voyager Review
When I used Yardi with Pinnacle, it was a flawless system that I enjoyed using very much. I was able to pull reports within a time frame in the month and be able to compile statements for owners. When I used Yardi with Dobler Management, it was challenging as we had no delegated IT and the system was not up to date. Reps kept changing and ultimately the company wound up going to Entrata.
Vorteile
I love the reporting of Yardi. This software rises high above the competition with it's accurate reporting and ability to fix errors so the reporting is most accurate.
Nachteile
Lack of support. It is best when a company has a delegated IT department who is trained in all things Yardi and can work directly with Yardi. Companies without this necessary IT role/department will struggle.

LOVE my companies yardi
Vorteile
Our yardi is soooooo easy to use and train on. If you want to find someone there is a button for that. Reports are emailed to us weekly/daily.
Nachteile
It can sometimes take a while for reports to be emailed or uploaded. Ours is a little too customized to use with Iloveleasing but we work around it.

very intuitive.. highly recommend
It's a great management program. I wasn't using any property management software prior to this so it helped us organize all of our work and the reports provided some good insight.
Vorteile
I only used it for about a year but it was very easy to pick up. The user interface is clean and well laid out. The reports are great too. They look very professional.
Nachteile
While the interface is clean and intuitive, there are areas that are too cluttered. Options are good to have but I got frustrated at times trying to navigate around the program. The program will also crash repeatedly if you do too much (assuming my hardware isn't to fault here).

There is nothing better to simplify your work than yardi
Vorteile
I love that our yardi rep can customize the features we need and tailor the program to the things we do most often. I appreciate the addition of the search bar and favorites to make navigating a breeze.
Yardis functionality is ideal because it can integrate with so many other systems.
Nachteile
I would prefer if yardi didn't time out as often as it does but I understand that is a security feature to protect the sensitive information we are working with.

Yardi is a solid choice for Property Management software, but lacks some key features
Vorteile
Yardi is easy to use, once you know how to use it. The accounting and reporting are robust. I like to ability to define unused fields and create custom attribute queries. The support team does a great job of helping with issues. The A/R and A/P processes run smoothly.
Nachteile
Training is minimal and the software is not intuitive. Our lease is complex, and it could no be loaded into Yardi so that we could have a seamless application to signed lease workflow. The maintenance module does not track field technicians time at a property, so there is no actionable reporting available for work orders.

I used Yardi for SFH property mgmt, maintenance, accounting, etc. It was wonderful!
Platform large enough to hold all of the necessary information which could then be formatted to fit our needs.
Vorteile
The dashboard could be personalized per role and made finding things much easier and quicker. The amount of information to be accessed and the reports made daily tasks that much easier.
Nachteile
Sometimes the links didn't necessarily make sense in regards to what you were actually looking for and the path to find information was a bit convoluted.

Many options available for use. We do financial management, residential management, construction management and can flow from one to another when needed.

At times, there are certain processes that do not react the same way in the different areas...for example, if in construction mgmt the screen doesn't automatically go places that it might in financial mgmt.

Yardi Genesis is a great product with the backing of a great company
Vorteile
The service with Yardi is phenomenal. Even with their unsupported or out-dated products they give full and helpful support and are generally great polite people to work with. Their product is great and easy to use, with reports in multiple formats without the need for conversions. This has helped our organization out with our Tax Credit Syndicators as some prefer PDF reports and others Excel. Thus making the ability to do this a great asset to the company.
Nachteile
The only thing I caution people on is making sure the databases are set up correctly. If you don't configure it right the first time it is sometimes harder to go back and change things (number of properties needed, etc.) then set it up right the first time. Not a major issue though, more like a minor annoyance.

Nothing's Better Than Yardi!
Vorteile
The system is extremely easy to use. It is friendly for even those who are not as technology skilled. Yardi is a great system for any property management company.

It can take a moment to learn the system as things are not as easy to find. Sometimes it can take a bit to find what you need as well as you will need to go multiple routes.

Great Real Estate Software
Great product, very competitive price, terrible user suppport
Vorteile
Easy to use; Have all the basic functions and features that Voyager offers but with much lower license fee; East for initiate setting up.
Nachteile
The user support is terrible. There is no support email; while calling the user support line, no one is ever available. After leaving a dozens of voicemail messages, no one responds to you until two or three days later.

Vorteile
I usually only use Yardi to process invoices and bills and to track the processing of invoices. It is so easy to keep a record of the accounts payable and has absolutely amazing features that allows us to pay with any payment method that is suitable to us. The record of each invoice along with exact dates, payment date, entry date is amazing to have and to align with our accounting. Love it!
Nachteile
I feel sometimes the features are little bit slow which could be improved

Yardi Voyager - Everything you need for Property Management in One
I have used Yardi Voyager for several years across many different companies.
Vorteile
Pulling reports is extremely easy to do with Yardi. They offer all different reports that many other property management software companies don't offer. I also love the dashboard- it gives a quick glance of the property in one screen. You can see occupancy, shows, move outs, and more right away- where other software requires you to pull multiple reports.
Nachteile
The interface/style of the software is my least favorite thing about Yardi. Other management softwares, such as ResMan, look much more advanced.

Yardi Voyager
Vorteile
As a temp I am only with the company for a short time and this software was very easy to adapt too and learn how to use. Each tab is pretty self explanatory and once you get the hang of it, it is easy to navigate.
Nachteile
I found sometimes that cltr numbers don't always disappear even if they have been dealt with. It could be confusing when there are pages of invoices in the software to process, which have or have not been processed already.

Yardi Voyager
I am keeping track of all payment, work order, and personal info of all the many residents in my apartment complex. My overall experience is very positive and i would be lost without this software.
Vorteile
Ease of use and security. I work in a leasing office in Austin Texas AND i HAVE A LOT OF STUDENTS THAT i DEAL WITH ON A DAILY BASIS. YARDI HELPS ME KEEP TRACK OF ALL THE INFO EASILY AND SECURELY.
Nachteile
Interface looks a bit old in style. Could use a new more Apple style of interface to give it that more modern look and feel.
