Great affordable CRM for both small and large businesses with lots of add-ons and options

Good - good product and service team is high quality

Vorteile

Intuitive, easy to use, has all the basics you need and offers nice enhancements and upgrades

Nachteile

its a little glitchy at times, pages don't refresh properly, when viewing lists, such as contacts, the field columns (email, phone, address, etc.) sizing is slow and clunky for the browser based web version, also could use an graphical update, looks a little dated

I have to say that without the amazing support team at ACT we would be lost - the assistance and support is the best I have experienced. Always come away with a solution to the challenge you are facing.

Magical Act !

My experience with Act has been wonderful. This software is a real gift, a real treat. It's so fantastic how it allows me to automate my business. Very easy to use, I can easily retrieve information on customers; I also have a history of my mails, calls and letters.

Vorteile

I like this software. Being able to improve my communication, increase my sales and ensure the loyalty of my customers is so magical! And the ease of remote tasks is just incredible. And to think it's so easy to use!

it is software that allowed me to organize myself and save a lot of time, however it is impossible to change the colors of the program and slow in any type of process, no interface either

Everything in one place!

My experience with Act! was great! My job duty was to make at least 100 calls a day promoting our upcoming events to previous organizations so it helped me to find who I needed to call and make notes of who I've contacted and see what information needed to be updated.

Vorteile

I love how it was easy to keep track of the people I have already contacted and could really stay on top of my workload!

Nachteile

We were working off an older version so it would freeze a lot but Im sure that was fixed in the newer version

Unpleasant, misrepresented, unstable and bulky

Don't purchase. Unstable, bulky and slow. Far better systems out there

If you want a product that doesn't do what it promises, despite guarantees. Is slow and falls over, doesn't work with addons which are generally ridiculously expensive, then buy this software

Nachteile

This software may be OK for a company that does not have to do quotes. The addons are totally useless. When we looked at the software we were guaranteed that it could fulfill all the functions of our previous software. We were the hassled sometimes twice a day to pay for the package, so that we could be trained. Nothing works as promised. Software slow and unreliable. We want to return because does not fulfill any promises. Told sorry, you have already been registered, cannot be returned, despite totally false guarantees. If we are not fully credited for the software, going to the consumer board to lodge a formal complaint, and handing over to our lawyers.

a great CRM that integrates easy with Microsoft Office suite

not my first option when it comes to CRMs, it may fall short when the business requires integration of Lead campaigns with traditional sales blitz and also optimize/automate internal sales process and flow.

Vorteile

Integration with MS Office, flexibility and scalability based on the size of the business and need of the organization, desktop version in addition to the web-based version (thus allowing flexibility for the organization), API availability.

Nachteile

price is in the premium range, mostly driven for sales and contact management but falls short when it comes to process automation and customer service options. Support can be an issue.

Easy to use, not easy to get tech support

Like the product, dislike the upgrade/update processes and third party integrations

You need to come up with your own ACT! app for iPhones and Android, instead of relying on Handheld Contact (third party app).

Vorteile

The basic program and options are extensive...including reporting. There is ample customization options for adding custom fields and the interface layout.

Nachteile

Updates or upgrades require a lot of "work around" effort uninstalling, reinstalling, removing, re-configuring, etc. There are too many steps involved each time something changes from a software update mode.

I am new to the software and allowing 1 year before I make our final judgment.

First The compay which I purchsed it from does not wast my time with a lot of dumb questionaires. Second the Tec. people I have worked with are really great.

Vorteile

Ease of use. Fast learning curve. It seeems to work all the time. Reliability. The fact the there are not of Time wasting Questionaires. Reasonable Pricing

Nachteile

Market promotions that offer upgrades in customer support after we purchase it. It's not the cost and another thing in the promotion it was stated that if we paid an upgrade fee we would get domestic support rather than off-shore. So far the off-shore has been terriffic. What 20 something more that copy. I did not like it.

Functional but Archaic

As a small firm, we have been using ACT! for many years. This product is easy to use. Also it can be customized to fit each individuals needs. The search function in ACT is very precise. The only problem with ACT is that it's very manual and archaic. Unfortunately, I find that we waist a lot of time entering data into act. I wish ACT could parse information from resumes and other documents so that we can fulfill our data entry tasks more efficiently. If your company is one that rely's on numbers and production I would not recommend this product. If your company can operate at lower speeds then I would recommend act. It's cheap, reliable and fulfills all the basic functions an ATS should.

ACT Nexus not worth the time or engergy

You get what you pay for.

Vorteile

Act! is less expensive then other similar products like salesforce. It provides some level of CRM software that may work for certain companies

Nachteile

The software is out dated and needs a significant refresh. Competitors cost more because they are worth more in this case.

Difficult and dated

Vorteile

There is nothing good about the program, absolutely horrible. Customer support cant handle issues, all i have are negatives

Nachteile

Hard to use, technical support have zero clue whats going, things that the CRM is supposed to be able to do it is unable to, you cannot sync google or outlook to reflect the information to Act, it goes one way, Act to Google/Outlook but not the other way around. Very dated program, would not suggest to anyone

THE WORSE ACT EVER

Really Awful service!!!!

Really poor online and telephone customer service. Lots of promises, no results.

Nachteile

We subscribed to this service thinking it would help us streamline our contacts and help our sales team. We had trouble from day one importing our contacts and received zero service from ACT. We filed several reports with them, called and emailed often and had zero response. To top it off, they closed our "service tickets" as being resolved satisfactorily and now will not give a refund of our remaining balance on our account.

Hasn't been any good since 6.0

The notion of it being THE amazing CRM solution that I needed, like it used to be.

Nachteile

The fact that it was bulk and glitchy and when I wasn't satisfied with support they wouldn't even consider a refund when issues weren't resolved.

Vorteile

act! is a CRM that we tried for a couple of months and it is does a decent job keeping contacts organized.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SOFTWARE

The worse software I have every used. I have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Nachteile

Act farms out their support through Swiftpage. Swiftpage does not keep their training appointments, they are not knowledgeable about the software and offer to assist. I paid so much and I have not been able to use the program at all. No refund, No partial refund, nothing.

A little slow but gets the job done!

We use ACT as a organizing platform for us to have our customer contact information together and manage efficiently. For this part it has been great and very useful to us.

Nachteile

Once we started to move forward and move along we started bumping into limited features and didn't have what we expected on the long run with the software.

Stay Away!

We are an outside support company assisting with a server migration. So, I cannot comment about the functionality or use of the software. However, if you have a production file that will not convert to a newer version properly, you will be out of business before the problem is resolved. We were incorrectly told to upload the file and we should have it ready to download in around 48 hours. We are now going well over a week and have no idea about the status. The company has done a very good job of hiding phone numbers, so there is only one number to call. The support dept cannot communication with their own internal database repair department. They reached out to their own internal dept 3 times yesterday and could not get a response. Businesses need support for their business tools. I would not recommend this product.
