Easily Sync Schedule with Personal Calendar
FareHarbor makes keeping track of boat bookings, contact information, scheduling, and crew as smooth and easy process. Everyone has the relevant information they need for a successful work experience.
Vorteile
FareHarbor makes it really simple to keep track of bookings and schedules. It can sync immediately with my Google calendar, ensuring that I don't miss a booking.
Nachteile
Sometimes the log-in can be glitchy. But, overall, it is excellent software that makes coordinating several schedules really easy.

Best customer experience I've ever had
Increased conversion rates, fully built website free of charge, no up front fees.
Vorteile
Not only is the software aesthetically appealing and easy to use, it's also got the most helpful customer service staff I've ever encountered. I email at 12pm on a Saturday, I get a callback from my rep an hour later.
Nachteile
While the price is right for the size of my business now, the 6% fee will surely become more of a pinch as my business matures.
Also, the customer service is so good sometimes that their urge is to keep you from tinkering...and just do the job for you. It's a nice gesture, but sometimes I want to break things in order to learn a bit more about them.

Great Company. Super Support!
We've been using Fareharbor for over a year for our massage business, allowing customers to see our availability calendar live online as well as book online. We also use it to run credit card authorizations or deposits to secure appointments.
Vorteile
Excellent customer service. Fareharbor staff set up most of our account for us, trained us in use of the system and how to further customize it to meet our needs. Mobile friendly, though we're patiently anticipating their new mobile app to further improve the mobile booking process. Very competitive rates. When Fareharbor recently received a rate reduction from their processor, they passed the savings on to their customers.
Nachteile
We sometimes experience delays in loading on the site, particularly on mobile devices. Much of this may be attributable to inconsistent internet in our region. We're hoping the mobile app will help improve this.

FareHarbor helped us get to the next level.
We have greatly increased our bookings by using Fareharbor as a booking system on our website.
Vorteile
The software doesn't have any glitches/bugs which means people can book the tours with just a few clicks and it always works - cross browser, tablets, smartphones, etc. This has greatly increased our bookings.
Very easy to use, we learned how to navigate and use the software in just a few hours.
Extremely rapid customer service which is crucial when you are running a tour company and need extra help or have a question.

Each feature was intuitively built in a way that any user can quickly understand the key functions of the software.
2. Customer service is outstanding- Fare Harbor stands alone in the industry in the support and education of it’s clients. From a live training session with a real human being, to a huge online library of video and copy resources to 24 hour service help, there’s simply no one out there that cares for the success of it’s tour operators than Fare Harbor.
3. The software works seamlessly in every aspect both on the back end and client facing interfaces.

Love this platform!
Very, very positive. From the very first call to redeveloping my website, FareHarbor have been instrumental in the success of my business which may not have happened so easily with my previous set up.

Almost through season 1 with FareHarbor. Wonderful to receive reservations during off hours.
Online bookings available 24/7 with no worry of overbooking.
Vorteile
Pros: It is great to be live online and allow guests to reserve at their convenience with no chance of overbooking. It is wonderful to be able to see what is happening to reservations while at home or on the go. Customer service is always very friendly and helpful. All of our staff has liked the ease of booking and check-in. We were very happy when they unrolled the shopping cart feature. We were with our old reservation system for many years, but have found it pretty easy to adapt. Report section has a lot helpful information.
Nachteile
There is a learning curve to creating and changing items. I have found it easier to call customer support for some of the big changes. Discount application could be better. We have some fees that can't be discounted so have to manually add the discount to every person instead of once for the group. Time consuming when making a large reservation. We have also found that loading large reservations is slow. While you can schedule staff, there is no clock-in/clock-out feature which would be great for hourly employees. We would also love for guests to be able to see and adjust their reservations and for FareHarbor to build an online store that integrates into the system. Needs better integration with SmartWaiver.

FareHarbor-A+
Overall, very happy with FH and as mentioned previously, the support team is extremely responsive. Also very helpful and very friendly to work with. Never condescending or over technical in their responses.
Vorteile
I like the ease of use and quickness of FH reservation making, the integration with other activity providers' systems, which reduces the workload of our staff of taking reservations, and also the streamlined invoicing. The super quick and friendly support responses are much appreciated. I love the ability to be able to provide special pricing through personal links for groups, and that it notes these reservations on the manifest for easy identification.
Nachteile
The reporting features are fairly cumbersome with all info coming in, and having to drill out what you don't need, instead of the opposite of entering the parameters of only what you want. Reporting does not offer time period comparison features either, such as YOY or YTD reporting. Of course this can be accomplished by running them separately, though..

Changed Our Life!!
My wife and i run a small tour company in New York City and for the first 5 years of being in business we did everything manually. By this i mean we answered every tour request by email. A part of me justified this by feeling that we were a hands on company that wanted our customers to feel that they were actually dealing with a human being on the other end and not some automated system that felt impersonal. I can't tell you the amount of hours we spent answering every email. Our life was consumed by doing this and my wife and i barely had time for each other or a vacation. I had received hundreds of solicitations from software companies trying to sell us there software. They all wanted a commission off the top of our sales which we could not afford. Fareharbor was the first company that didn't take a commission from our sales but rather added on a small convenience fee on top of the cost of our tours that came out of the customers expense. It was reasonable and in now way felt like they were gouging our customers. Fareharbor also had the cheapest credit card rates i had ever come across and only charged us if they processed a card meaning if a customer decided to pay in cash there was no charge to us even though they were still required to leave a credit card for booking.
Fareharbor worked with us very closely to customize our booking system for all of our needs and never rushed us. They took the time to make sure we were happy and well trained at using their system. There was a small learning curve but they were always available for any questions and got back to us quickly with any issues. Usually i never would even have given them the time of day when they called because i was so sick of solicitations but their sales rep and his pitch was so laid back and not aggressive like so many others. I believe it took us almost 6 months to make the decision to actually work with them and never did they waiver in their patience and politeness. They never over called and let me come to them. Essentially they let their product sell itself because it's the best i've seen out there to this day.
As well as having a great product which had made my life so less stressful these guys are the nicest bunch of guys to work with. Thank you Anders and the whole family at Fareharbor for helping us to breath a bit easier everyday and for also allowing vacations back into our lives that we now can take again knowing that your service is at the helm of our company.

FareHarbor is a life-saver!

FareHarbor is the single best software purchase I have made for my business. It has streamlined my whole booking procedure. I was using an antiquated system - trading countless emails with guests and chasing leads non-stop. FareHarbor is so much more efficient and saves me countless hours. Moreover, FareHarbor's software can be tailor suited to your individual business needs. FareHarbor has allowed me to capture all necessary customer information and forms upfront! In addition, as a web-based application, I can access my booking calendar from anywhere in the world that has internet connection - so I am always connected no matter where I go. However, the best part about FareHarbor is the customer support and help! There 24/7 phone support is amazing - and it's real people, not automated. When I transitioned to this new software, I relied heavily on the helpline support - they are fabulous! Also a special thanks to one of the customer representative in the Channel Development team who has worked so hard on my behalf training my agents on how to use the software system!! She is the best!

Awesome Online Registration Software
The Fresno RiverSport Center needed online registration software that could accommodate the wide variety of programs and events that we offer as a non-profit organization. Over the past 4 years, we tried 3 different services only to find that they were not adaptable to our needs
When we decided to give FareHarbor a try I was amazed by the level of support I received. They assigned me a customer service representative and took considerable time to understand our organization and its programs. Using this information, they assisted me in the creation of our online registration page that incorporated all of our events and their unique requirements.
FareHarbor met our requirements and exceeded all our expectations!
FareHarbor has made the registration process simple for our customers and provides all of the information we need to provide them with a great event. Since we have been using FareHarbor I have not received one complaint about our event registration process!
From a management perspective, it has made my job a whole lot easier. All event information is readily accessible for customers reducing calls for information. Canned messages are sent to customers upon registration, 24 hours prior to the event, and upon the completion of the event. As a result, our registration attendance ratio is close to 100% and we are able collect customer reviews for all events.
The integration with SmartWaiver has allowed us to transition from paper waivers and obtain signed online liability waivers that are safely stored, easily accessible, and noted on the event manifest.
FareHarbor has also allowed us to assign staff to events based on event registration and automatically send event notices and reminders to them.
This has given me a whole lot of extra time that allows me to get out of the office, away from the computer, and do what I love, paddle my kayak with our customers!
I wholeheartedly recommend FareHarbor for organizations and businesses needing awesome online registration software.

Great and Easy to Use
I started my dog tour business 4 years ago out of my home with a team of dogs and a couple of sleds. Now, the business has grown and I have over thirty dogs and four sleds, plus I have other mushers who run tours for me. As the business grew, it became more difficult for me to book all of the new tours. That's when I found FareHarbor! Their software is comprehensive and easy to use. Since using their software, it has become much easier to not only book tours online, but to keep in contact with my customers, to charge my customers, and to refund them as well! Another thing to note about FareHarbor is their excellent customer service. I am not the most tech savvy person in the world, but whenever I had a question about the software Mitch, who was my FareHarbor guide and guru, was there. Not only did he help me customize the software so it would benefit my business initially, but I am still in contact with him today to help me with new changes I need to make to the software. Overall, I love FareHarbor. I love how easy it is to use the software itself and you can't beat the amount of dedication and initiative that the staff will provide you. I would definitely recommend this software to other small business owners.

The only problem that we are having with the software is the fact that slots will not automatically close off if other bookings are full. For example, we offer three sorts of tours. One for a half hour, a second for an hour, and a third for two hours. If we fill up the two hour tours, then we can not run tours for the hour and half hour slots, but they remain open. What we have been doing is manually closing slots that we don't have the personnel to run.

Cannot fault the support from FareHarbor staff
Absolutely fantastic.
Vorteile
FareHarbor enables so many different options and if we find it difficult to navigate anything, the support is quick, efficient and practical. Our site was easily adapted to deal with so many changes through the Covid pandemic and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Sometimes it's complex to work out how to change things but the support is so good we just ask for help - and they sort it!

We have been very please with FareHarbor. The customer support department is extremely helpful.
Vorteile
We like having the freedom to customize our dashboard for our unique needs. It is easy to make, track, change, or correct bookings without risk of losing data. Our agents are admittedly not computer savvy, yet they all enjoy using FareHarbor, and it was easy to train them. Most of all, we really appreciate the immediate support we get from the customer service department when faced with challenges. Everyone involved has been helpful, but in articular, Matt stands out because of his willingness to understand our product, and explain the intricacies of the software functionality.
Nachteile
It's difficult to be critical since we are getting everything we need from FareHarbor. I think this is already in the works, but if we could have a way to transfer customer payment information over to our other product dashboard that would be great.

Paint and Sip Booking Use Case
We operate multiple paint and sip locations in a metropolitan area. We needed a booking system that allowed us to both allow registrations for our freestyle sessions -- akin to booking reservations at a restaurant as well as ticketed classes and special events. Typically, booking systems only work for one or the other. Working with Fareharbor, we were able to find a solution that allowed us to do both. Strengths are customer service. They are always there when you need them. Very responsive. Also, the overall expense of using the system as well as credit card purchasing rates are the best we've found. They batch process all their clients through Stripe which gives them a better bulk rate. It's easy to manage bookings from the back-end, including rebooking and refunds. Reporting is robust, but a little cumbersome -- we aren't able to run reports easily per item, so, we can't run inventory on online pre-sales. We are able to manage multiple locations as well all from the same account. We absolutely love how easy it is to create recurring events -- what was taking us days to do manually on other ticketing sites literally takes a few minutes with FH. We use ipads. The check-in app is very slow. This led to lines and slow check-ins (and a few bad reviews) on busy weekend nights. The booking calendar works well but has several limitations. The calendar view doesn't allow images, so the calendar is text heavy. With multiple locations, each location has to be its own calendar, so instead of one main calendar where customers can filter by location, customers have to choose a location first and then go to that calendar. We'd prefer everything dumping into one calendar with the ability to filter that calendar by location or activity type. In order for us to customize the booking calendar to make it a more user friendly interface, we would need to invest up to $5K to $10K. Although, we have customers pre-pay, we still need a POS in our studios. That means we have to pull reports and inventory from two systems. We have used, tried and experimented with multiple ticketing solutions and FH is the best we've found so far. Their team is definitely one of their strongest selling points. They do a lot of the heavy lifting, which is amazing and very helpful. It would be the perfect system if it integrated into a POS, had a better check-in app and improved the UX of its booking calendar. We're hoping those will come along soon!

Amazing booking platform
FareHarbor makes it incredibly easy for us to make and take bookings online and in our shop. They are very eager to help and make it clear that they want our business to succeed.

Great customer service, very helpful staff that respond in a timely manner, very easy to use and customise, great for us because we are a small company just getting started, great perks such as developing us a new, more user-friendly website.
Nachteile
There isn't really anything I don't like about FH, I would say I'm a bit confused about how the money transfers work but that's my own fault because I'm sure if I asked someone would explain it to me right away.

I have enjoyed working with the Fareharbor team, and have seen a huge increase in profits.
Our sales have quadrupled. Thank you, Fareharbor!
Vorteile
It has allowed us to sell our tickets online, and it has allowed us to keep track of our customers in a much more organized way than we were. I think our favorite functionality about this software would have to be the whole booking system. We love being able to use it for our reservations.
Nachteile
It is extremely difficult to manage. When we have a tour that changes dates, times, locations, etc, digging through the pages to find what I need is taxing and a waste of my valuable time. I wish the system was over-simplified, It would help me run my business faster and more efficiently. For example, the entire "Items" edit feature. It needs a new system for me to be able to easily change my event settings, without having to go through twenty pages before I find the settings I need. After taking training on how to use the system, I still can't quite understand how to give my customers percentages off, or discount codes. Our Christmas sale took me 2 days to figure out how to set it up on the system.

Lots of customizable features and incredible customer service!
Vorteile
The customer service is incredible! If there is an issue, big or small, I can email and it will be taken care of right away! There's never any problem with the customer service team handling what I ask of them - they always seem to know exactly what I'm talking about. I actually work on 2 different FH accounts and there never seems to be any mix-ups or confusion from FH about what is happening to which account. They are the best - I wish ever customer service or troubleshooting team was like this!
Nachteile
Sometimes it can be tricky to figure out where certain information lives within an item. I prefer to be as self-sufficient as possible and sometimes it takes me quite awhile to find where I need to go. A lot of info blocks have very similar names, but live in different places, so that can be confusing.

Life saver!
FH saves our office staff roughly 6 hours of work per day! Our customers now signup online more than over the phone. We have seen an increase in signups since using FH. Pulling reports for accounting, months end and year end is much easier. FH has reduced our phone conversation time with each customer drastically. On average, we used to spend 7 minutes on the phone per customer. On average we now spend 2 minutes. Booking private charters is now just a click of a button away. It used to take us 30 minutes to create a private charter on our old reservation system.

FareHarbor is extremely user-friendly, very functional, straightforward, and has wonderful customer service. We recommend FareHarbor to every boating company in the Santa Cruz Harbor and Monterey! I believe most companies have switched over to FareHarbor by now. Great FH employees and I love working with each and every one of them! FareHarbor has truly made our life at work much easier and we are very grateful for this system. Being able to customize the system to fit our unique company model has been very useful.

A company that provided exactly what we wanted

Best Booking Software for Tour Companys
Aloha,
My business is Adventure Tours Hawaii and we are based on the island of Oahu. We perform activity tours where our guests select if they would like to hike, snorkel, stand up paddle board, sightsee, combine these activities, or enjoy all of them in one circle island adventure day.
What I like about FareHarbor is how I am able to customize my booking system so that my customers can select their date, select which activities they would like through a series of check boxes, leave notes about their personal requests or other information, and make payment, all on one screen.
This is just one example on how you can customize your booking system. There are many more options available to further customize that perhaps another business might require but I have not found it necessary to my needs. But I know the options are there in case I ever change my format.
The report system is also easy and reliable. I use it for all my accounting.
But most of all I love the customer service. 99% of the time they answer the phone within a few rings. If not I have left a short message which they have returned within 1-2 hours max. This I have found invaluable. Great job FareHarbor.

Easy to use Software with the best customer service ever experienced

The customer service is really on top. I never worked with an software where I get so fast my answer, help and support!
Also the commission and monthly costs are super ok. as the customer pays the main part of it!
Nachteile
I can not cancel the whole tour, but need to cancel every customer singular. That means if I need to cancel a tour with 40 people I need to cancel every single customer.
But this is actually only little fine tuning I would need personally. All the rest is super easy to use, functional and adaptable

Definitely game changing and very intuitive companion to my business.
Increased knowability and organization and some days it feels like the most organized part of the business.

That it feels like it reflects the ins and outs of my daily operation and works like another appendage of everything. I honestly love the text message and email options.
Nachteile
I'm probably a bit of a different client in that I'm a solo operator and so tend to let everything "run itself" with very little intervention from myself as user. My daily use is simply checking reservations and if need be, rebooking and sending out text messages or emails. I personally do not process credit cards. But I also work directly with another tour business on a daily level who does use it more to full capacity with their multiple tour offerings and multiple users and they have no complaints.

5 Stars to Fare Harbor!
Wow what a positive difference Fare Harbor has made to our small tour company. We started our company about a year and a half ago, and were lucky enough to grow quite rapidly. We began life with a WordPress booking software add-on to our website, which was cumbersome and not as user friendly as we hoped. Errors were common and input was slow, so we looked for a solution with a lot more horsepower. When we found Fare Harbor, we hoped it would be the ticket. After we switched boy we knew we were right. Immediately we saw the difference and benefits when you switch to a serious solution like FH. We were right away more organized both internally and to our customers. Ease of use was awesome, the transition was smooth, and FH was great to work with, making our partnership one we are very glad we formed. And the best part of all - sales increased pretty much right away! Guests must have like the addition to our program because we saw bookings go up and up. After about a year now with FH we could not be happier. We get called pretty regularly by other software companies trying to switch us over to their booking software, and we don't even listen. We've seen great results with these guys, and are happy to sing their praises!

Beware -- This company will take your referral and steal your hosting client
Fair Harbor has been unwilling to return my calls, when I've talked to 4 people there on 4 different occasions

It works good for 2 other clients, but this time, they scabbed a site from me. I recommended a customer who has been satisfied client for several years. I recommended that we look for an easier ticketing system than he was running and recommended Fair Harbor. Next thing I know, I get an email from him telling me to send all my files to Fair Harbor. I called Fair Harbor and complained about unethical practices of stealing other people's clients. Then, I get an email from my client accusing me (who has been doing all plugin and WordPress updates for free +) of not changing the time zone on his site when DST went to EST. I was on vacation when he emailed me. I went in that day and changed the time zone as he asked. Unfortunately, I was in a different time zone and had set his time to New York +5 GMT or EST. Well I never heard back and assumed it had worked for him. Now, Fair Harbor had conned him into using this as an excuse to leave my hosting service.

"Yes" we can do that or "Yes" we'll figure that out...loved the "yes" attitude. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was amazing...efficient, detail oriented and absolutely perfect in her position. Likewise, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] jumped in to resolve some website issues, and he was also efficient!

What I disliked about FareHarbor would be the Customer Service's response time. I had an issue with reporting, and had to wait for close to two weeks for a representative to help physically.

Exactly the booking administration system I needed
Fareharbor helps me to organize my bookings, it makes me save time, and I feel that there is a whole team that helps me find solutions to optimize the way my business works. Support is very fast and helpful responding questions. The team has been extremely helpful in customizing the product for the specific needs for my business.

One feature is still missing for me, and that would be the possibility to add guides to bookings in a direct way, instead of adding guides to ‘availabilities’.

As the marketing / media coordinator for a tour / activity based resort, it's important to have a reliable software system that is easily navigable for both users AND consumers. Our company made the switch over to Fareharbor 3 months ago and since then have seen a huge increase in both online bookings & workplace efficiency.
From the user's point of view, every tour and activity calendar is easily accessible through a simple yet responsive & comprehensive dashboard. Creating over the phone bookings couldn't be easier - computer literacy among-st employees is no longer an issue & time spent on fixing user - errors is non existent.

Very happy with Fareharbor software
The overall Fareharbor experience has been the right choice for our company. I would highly recommend this software.
Customer support is excellent their staff are quick to reply and help with any situation that arises.

My first concern going "live" would it be easy or hard? It was easy using Fareharbor, all the hard work is done using this software. It was a smooth and quick implementation using this software, it keep us up-to-date with the latest tools.
Nachteile
Some features are not user friendly however most have a video clip explaining its features, I'm sure these will continue to be improved.

I like how its free to use and I can easily partner with other companies

I like the fact that the software is free to use for the vendors. We have a lot of things to do in order to run our tours and the software side is not one of the things where we want to spend very much time. I like that they agreed to build my website. I also like that I am able to book other tours more easily than ever before.
Nachteile
It's not very user-friendly at all. I don't have time to read the manual for this. I have to keep asking for help on how to set things up. Other interfaces that I've used have been user-friendly, but they weren't free to use. Fareharbor is building my website for free (which I appreciate), but it takes months to get a picture changed on my webpage ( they never let me know when my website was complete and it wasn't well made). I might be looking to switch soon if it doesn't get fixed.

The team is what makes FareHarbor so great!
So far good, but the transition is tough. Our old booking system was so much easier to use but of course we didn't have more than one resource allocated to a room.
Vorteile
Resource allocation is the reason for us switching. We now have the ability to book our escape rooms, birthday parties, and sell gift cards all from one spot, Before we could only sell our arcade portion. The customer UI is amazing.
Nachteile
Their is currently no integration with Springboard VR. Ability to use a resource for a custom amount of time should be an option just so we can on the spot make a resource unbookable if we need to for walkins in a quicker manner.

The very best technical support, customer support and functionality for my small tour company.
Cost effective, fully customisable solution for my small but growing tour company in Northern Ireland. Excellent customer support, technical knowledge, friendly account managers and aftersales assistance. Makes marketing and selling my products a breeze, content in the knowledge that my account manager is there for support and assistance, whatever the issue.

The software vendor really holds your hand throughout the set up process, all the while ensuring that you learn how to work the system back end and tailor-make the solution for your business. Excellent customer support with easily available, informative and friendly account managers. I cannot fault the system or the support.
Nachteile
Like all such software solutions, the back end is a tad clunky, but the more you use it the more intuitive it becomes. Of course there is always the brilliant support from the account manager when you hit a wall!

My main business problem was direct online bookings, and we have experienced a 60% growth year to year comparison. Additionally, our second challenge was reducing the time spent on the phone with customers (call centre activities) and this has been decreasing by 40%.

Multi use
This program is easy to use for administrators, users and online users. Very adaptable. We will find more uses for this program in the future.
Vorteile
This program is a workhorse! We started off using it to allow guests a booking venue online for the beach. We now use it for the beach, online and in house sales, for our scarecrows with no cost, an for online booking of our Rydables. Each year we add more to this program. Extremely easy to add or subtract items into the program.
Nachteile
We had an issue trying to get a surcharge added onto an item. I believe we have solved this issue now.

Dramatic Results and Outstanding Support
Adding the FareHarbor software to my tour/party/transportation boat business has resulted in a 5-fold increase in cruises booked. It has resulted in a significant decrease in labor costs for booking. Customer love it and it has had a significant positive impact to our bottom line.
I have gone to other friends in the business and suggested that they talk with FareHarbor, but they are unwilling to change from taking reservations over the phone and using a pencil. The benefits to our business include:
There is a growing segment of customers that would rather book using their smartphone or computer. They resist spending valuable vacation time on the phone.
For customers that insist on a telephone conversation, the FareHarbor system allows me to delegate sales and booking to others without sharing a paper calendar.
We get paid in full up front which reduces cancellations and no-shows.
Hotels appreciate the ability to look at our availability online.
No payments or paperwork on the boat. We just checkin on the tablet. The office can see the manifest and how many adults/children checked in so if there is an issue the Coast Guard will have an accurate count.
Customers stay on our site under our control
The system cost is extremely reasonable
The system is very high quality. We have had no problems related to downtime or software bugs
The system is easy to use, but we do need assistance from time to time. Their support is outstanding. We get either immediate or within the hour response. They are willing to make the setup changes and let me know when they're done or walk me through the steps so that I can do it myself next time.
The only suggestion I would make is that I would like to see them add a way to waitlist passengers until the minimum count is reached in order to stay profitable.
I will continue to recommend the FareHarbor system to my friends.

Aloha, my name is Pepe Trask, the General Manager of Kauai Plantation Railway, on the island of Kauai, and I am responsible for the entire & successful operation of the railway, including marketing and ticket sales.
