The best business should have
Overall a good product for the price
Vorteile
Easy to use, has good voice quality even in low bandwidth. Mobile app is amazing works on 3g, lte and on WiFi.
Messaging features is a good add-on.
Configuration is quite easy.
Nachteile
I didn't find any cons in particular, I've been using both landline and mobile app.
Maybe sometimes the app doesn't run in background and can miss a call or so but that's very rare..

Moving Target
Do not go to this company if you will ever have any questions about your service.
Vorteile
Click to dial is nice to have - a time saver. Can monitor stats of calls online as well as manage your account.
Nachteile
Terrible customer service - we tried to get a new line set up and they would not disclose any pricing information and each time we called they had a different answer.

New to Vonage
Overall, their IT techs are very willing to help with any problems. Granted, getting office numbers ported was an issue, but that wasn't all their fault. I think previous provider didn't want to give up the CSR as part of the problem. Our activation date kept changing and I was never sure what was going on and that's when I couldn't get my sales rep to return my calls. I went with IT and that's when Vonage started getting very helpful.

Comprehensive VOIP Solution
Vorteile
We came across this product shopping around for a Business Phone System / Service Provider. Vonage stood out to us initially due to name recognition, but we have come to love the product for its extensive feature. Dashboards could be more user friendly but the software itself and the VOIP portal are very feature rich. The extent of these features may depend on the plan that you sign up with. We were very happy with the one recommended by our Sales Contact.
Nachteile
The dashboards are not as particularly streamlined or user-friendly as its contemporary competitors.

Switched
it was hard to get help. When you call to get tech support they all say the same thing for every issue.
Vorteile
At one point it was very helpful, but then something was changed and it stopped working well.

The overall quality wasn't as good as what we have now.

Essential for modern day law offices
Overall, this software is essential for modern day law offices.
Vorteile
Vonage business makes it so much easier and faster to manage our phone system. I can easily set up new users, new phones, etc. all online. The customer service is fantastic as well.
Nachteile
When I first hop on, I have to select a link to get to the setup page. It would be easier if it started there versus clicking to get there.

Sevice level stops when they sign you up
I signed up for Vonage for my business telephone after they called and called and called every couple of months for a while. Unfortunately, after they signed me up, that was the end of their calls. Instead of walking me through the setup and installation over the phone, they would send e-mails. I would have to call and wait on hold to actually speak to someone.
Vorteile
The price of the service is much more affordable than what I used to pay for phone service.
Nachteile
There are so many things that I'm sure the system does, features and otherwise, but I'm supposed to walk myself through the website to figure things out. I am not that tech savvy and I have other things to do with my time. There is virtually no support once they have you sold.

Voyage Business VOIP for small office (1-5 lines)
Our office uses Vonage business VOIP phone system exclusively. Price wise, it is a good value. Customer service and support is outstanding - much better than others, in my experience. It has features that make it seamless to handle business from the office, home, and while traveling. In particular, online access to change phone settings from anywhere, call forwarding, voicemail notification, and emailed transcripts of voicemails. It's very useful to have the voicemail transcripts to place into customer's files. This has all the same features of traditional office phone systems that cost much more and some added bonuses.

Some issues with facsimile service on VOIP phones. After using customer support, I believe we've sorted it out.

Vonage Review
Vonage provides what I would consider an average product. When they are up and running they are fine. We have interment problems. Busy signal lights stop working so I can not tell when other workers are on the line. Static and dropped calls are a problem. Support is hit an miss. Some reps will take hold of the problem and get it resolved quickly others kind of dodge the issues. Their prices is middle of the road for this market. I have not had the time to dedicate to changing vendors but I need to look into it. The ones I have looked at don't seem a lot better.
Vorteile
They were my first attempt at VOIP and helpful during the change over. Having learned much about the environment I know more questions to answer to begin with now.

Service and support is spotty.

Great Service

Sometime you have to reset your phone IP with them but no big deal they can easily do it. Other than that no other cons

This system is used in my retail store
Vorteile
WiFi calling. No long distance fees. Phones are good quality. Minimal issues with dropped calls due to internet connection. Voicemail forwards to my outlook account.
Nachteile
Dropped calls. Occasional call quality is less than a standard landline. Digital noise. Initial setup took time. Required tech support to get everything setup correctly. Not an intuitive setup.

Good phone service - managing the setup needs a technical degree
Vorteile
We love this as our phone provider as it is very cost effective and we have few service interruptions.
Nachteile
The phone system setup is very hard to use - it feels like you need a technical degree! to set ours up I had to have their support walk me through the whole process. Now I don't touch it.

A little more expensive than necessary
It's a good system if you need a powerful package but not as much for small potatoes.

It has a soft phone and can connect to hard equipment. It was relatively easy to implement. It came with all of the components necessary to connect it.

The learning curve of this software is pretty steep and it's not always easy to integrate with existing comms.

Vonage Has Been Excellent!
Vorteile
Vonage has provided us with excellent and clear communications systems for our business. It's been so crucial for us to keep our phone systems clear with clients across the globe and with Vonage we've accomplished just that!
Nachteile
Initially the fees seemed to be a little bit high but after you really break down what you get for the price, Vonage can't be beat!

Its been alright.
again it works so if you need a reliable voip this would be great its just not a bells and whistles type of application .

So one pro is that you will actually get phone calls, (had that issue with another VOIP)
you can use this as a desktop application or you can you log on to their site.
Nachteile
I dont like how the phone rings, it rings very loudly over everything. Which i find really annoying,
its also hard to tell if someone else answered the phone.

This is pretty easy to set up. Since it is virtual it is quite easy to scale to fit growing or changing organization.

They merged with another company and everything got worse. The main issue was tech support. Any issues became big problems.

Expansive features but price point an issue
Switched back to our former software for conferencing despite lesser features as price point for our business was going to be a major consideration long term.
Vorteile
Feature set is extensive, compared to our previous preferred conferencing option. Also, messaging option was useful for keeping everyone updated, especially as some of our staff are based further afield in San Diego and we’re not always reachable for full conferencing.
Nachteile
Price is expensive considering what we had with our initial set up. Felt it outweighed the feature set.

Constant problems, hard to reach customer service
If something goes wrong your business Will be without phones for several days as you cannot get in contact with customer service immediately. We thought we would save money with this but in reality, if you include our own man hours for set up and troubleshooting we are paying much more for a phone service.

We thought this would be a cheaper alternative but any savings has been wiped out when you calculate the man hours for trouble shooting
Nachteile
Set up is overly complicated and since you have to wait days for service help no one can call our business!

Good value for the price
Vorteile
easy to use and get use to the interface, price per month and month to month billing. easy to set up and don't need a headset.
Nachteile
call quality is not the best, cracking and popping on the line, calls drop a lot. Customer service is offshore and third party, gets hard to cancel. Don't count on taking your numbers with you.

I have been using Vonage for almost a year now for my small business. After the headache of the initial setup, everything has been great.

I have problem with my caller ID going in and out on my outbound calls. Sometimes it comes up with my Business name sometimes it comes up with city and state.
