Vorteile

We love being able to cut down on paper copies for meetings! We also like the ability to have the documents available to committee members whether they are physically at the meeting or not.

Nachteile

We hear feedback that taking notes can be cumbersome. Also, the ability to look back at certain meetings is difficult, it would be easier if the past meetings could be sorted into categories.

The customer support has allowed us to overcome any technical issues we may have run into.

I love the ease of use for this software, it is easy to navigate and train our board members. When we rolled out the software we had minimal questions and were able to answer them quickly with the information on the website. Additionally, I set up two new boards and love the bulk upload feature with the members information. The ability to build your agenda and attach the information is great and helps members find the meeting information in one place without having to scroll through an entire book.

Nachteile

The only thing that sticks out to me as a "nice to have" for future bulk uploads is the ability to add board members to committees easily. I created the committees and input the information into the spreadsheet but they didn't populate into the committees. It just ended up being time consuming and double the workload.

This is a very user-friendly, intuitive application. There are lots of features if you want to get more in-depth, but if you just want to use it quickly, you can do that too.

OnBoard enables simple and powerful communication between our staff and board of directors. The set up of the program was quick (up within a few hours), training was effective (felt like a pro within 48 hours) and support is prompt and complete. Quite simply OnBoard does not feel like a piece of software but a utility that extends the effective governance organization of our organization. Also, really enjoy the ability to view on multiple devices without any troubles.

I struggle to identify any specific changes that would make board communications better through OnBoard.

Uploading documents is easy and fast. Signing in from the ipad is simple.

Board members dislike having to periodically put in their username & password again - although I know this is a security feature.

The product is great and integrated smoothly. Adoption of the product was the biggest challenge. This is why we use the product as a baseline user primarily for electronic archiving and not always for Board meetings.

The signature tool for the product was limited and would have liked to have seen more great functionality and customization much like other electronic signature solutions on the market.

Product is very easy for meeting administrators to use when pulling together agenda and related papers across our various management and governance groups. User interface is generally intuitive and easy to use.

The user experience on the Windows App is not quite up to the same standard and their iOS app. The Windows based app could use some work.

OnBoard is a very user friendly system. Implementing the software was a smooth process and has proven to be a more efficient way to produce our board packages. I like that it is easy to build board books and upload documents. The overall look is clean and easy to navigate.

Nachteile

On the announcements tab, I wish that the items could be listed by date (happening first) and that you didn't have to "pin" it to the top. I also wish that you could edit the profile of a user without having to delete them and re-add them if their email changes. Lastly I would like to be able to see more detailed analytics.

What appeals to me about OnBoard is the ease of use and the ability to share documents with the group.

Vorteile

It has been very easy to use. Creating agendas for Board/Committee Meetings and directly attaching supporting documents was simple to learn and do. Participants enjoy the ability to make their own annotations throughout the book .

Nachteile

We typically have the active page projected to a screen in our board room. It can be challenging at times to get the image just the right size for projection. I'm grasping here, though, as everyone appears to enjoy using the product.

Vorteile

I like using a portal product for our Board Meetings. It gives us one place to house our Agendas and other Resources that we use periodically.

Nachteile

It is not as user friendly as I would like it to be. Seems a bit clunky. Also, and this may be on us, I'd like to a portal that would file all Audit Committee Meetings in one place, and all Board Meetings in one place instead of just in calendar sequence.

Vorteile

OnBoard has taken a very time-consuming convoluted process and made it easy, intuitive and manageable. I have saved countless hours in prep time and board book assembly as well as, printing cost to include paper and toner.

I haven't really run into anything I don't like about OnBoard. Since I am the company expert, I help everyone understand the software and when I can't troubleshoot their issues, I can always count on my Account Executive for help.

Nachteile

At times, we've had a couple of bumps on the upgrades, but as soon as I identify them and contact Passageways, it's worked out immediately.

Extremely user friendly for both meeting administrators and attendees. Updates to content are immediately saved and loaded to the meeting calendar and agenda. With OnBoard, meeting preparation is now much more efficient, and we have cut out a significant use of paper and printing related to meeting materials.

It is extremely easy to travel around within a board book...even while chatting. The clickability and integration with Zoom makes this software very efficient to use.

We have no complaints about the software. It has been great for us. The only thing I could say is that occasionally when setting up and saving user permissions, they will revert so they warrant double checking.

It makes sharing reports and data for meetings incredibly easy and offers a lot of security. From an I.T. standpoint I was never happy with how we delivered board data prior to this software and how easily that data could get lost once it reached its destination. With OnBoard the data is securely kept in one place.

Nachteile

For a small business, the cost is pretty high for what we get. I think more affordable solutions exist just for secure data sharing if that's all you are concerned about. However, our end users have been very happy with the functionality and ease of use. I think this would be a better fit for a large company that holds lots of meetings, making sharing data much easier.

A couple of things I like. The ability to see when members have accepted the appointment for a meeting and you can plan on who will be there. The other is knowing my documents are in a secure place and readily accessible.

Access - I am not sure if our current Admin understands or knows all the workings. Like, can multiple people be installers, can there be multiple roles for accessing certain data?

OnBoard is an easy way for our organization to share information with our board. With board members from ages of 28 to 78, the ease in understanding how to use the platform made implementation a breeze! I'm going to cheat and say that the onboard (no pun intended) training was great with such a personal touch!

Using this software allows me to add documents last minute and it has made our meetings run smoothly even with current social distancing. I am excited about rolling out some of the other features to our Board members soon.

From an organization piece is great but it is confusing for the directors to no see all of them. We have told them but as they view it per board meeting they forget and think they don't have access.

Easy and inituitive to utilize, both for users and admins who need to build out meetings, document libraries etc. Mobile/tabley friendly interface is a big plus. Drag/drop functionality is great. Has scalability through complex organizations, can be used from Board to individual team levels.

In comparison to other tools I've used, like Diligent, this is a much easier and more intuitive platform.

The board book/agenda features are our most used feature. The ability to automatically plunk in the table of contents and assemble the Board book for export is nice. The option to import the agenda rather than manually add each section is also nice.

Zoom functionality isn't as nice as using the regular Zoom platform.

The ability to have all the needed documents in one place for our meetings helps them to run smooth and keeps everyone organized.

We have had some issues when trying to 'present' the board information on a large screen. Some of this is due to the fact that people are used to the native features in Office, so when the information gets loaded to OnBoard it is more like a pdf.

I like the download feature for uploaded documents and the ability to add notes and highlight them. It is very handy to be able to do that right in the document.

I love that it is an easy way to provide the board packet to the board. It is great that several people in our organization can help contribute to the packet by uploading documents themselves. It has helped with security since I know that no one can download or print sensitive data and have it saved on their personal computer or leave it on their desk or counter. It also is great to be able to copy a past meeting agenda so that it doesn't have to be rebuilt each time. This has increased our efficiency in compiling the packet for the board.

I like that this software makes it easy for our members to update and edit their own contact information. I also like that we can archive meeting information for easy access later when we might need to reference it.

Nachteile

I feel like this software could be easier to use. There are a lot of redundant steps, and I would like to see an easier way for our group meetings to respond to events without having to click on each item. Some of our members will not take the time to do that. I also wish there was an easier way to get meeting attendees without having to scroll through all members responses.

This program is very user-friendly for myself as Administrator. The Board of Directors did not need any training to use the program with the exception of how to upload the program. I have not received one complaint from anyone using it. They offer ongoing training and upgrades and they continue to improve the software regularly.

I had a bit of trouble at first getting signatures but the staff helped me figure it out in less than an hour.

OnBoard has been very easy to use especially among some of our less tech savvy users. The book building has helped save a tremendous amount of time with OnBoards ability to simply drag and drop content into the agenda. When we have had questions, OnBoards support has been second to none. The speed of response has been fantastic.

There is not an easy was to close a document thats out for signature once a quorum is met.

The admin support is excellent and fast. They are also slowly bringing in new features to help make it more user friendly and effective.

I feel that compared to our previous software, BoardMax, it is more basic with less features but that is slowly being improved.

We most appreciate the fact that OnBoard has allowed us to STOP printing board books. This is really important from both a cost-saving and environmental perspective.

Recently an integration launched within the OnBoard platform did not go smoothly for us. The customer service was good, but the integration was launched quickly and there may have been some hiccups.

What I like most about the software is how it's solved the problem of having to send emails with many attachments or print board meeting materials. All of the materials are in one place, and board members can still access them after the meeting.

Nachteile

It can sometimes be difficult for board members to navigate and know where everything lives. Many board members are very busy and even serve on other boards with different platforms, so sometimes I think it can be frustrating to have to log on and try to find their information.

Our organization was ready to use the product within 3 weeks of signing the agreement. It is extremely easy to navigate. Most of our board members figured it out without training. Administration and uploading documents extremely easy. The customer service is great. Very responsive whenever you have a question. Voting function is also easy to use.

Nachteile

Nothing. It is far and away so much better than our previous board portal software.

The ease of implementation. We were slow to adopt electronic board packets due to our board demographics. But it was easily and quickly implemented.

There are occasionally simple features that are removed and our directors miss them. Usually, the feature is brought back but it is different in some way.
